  1. Marrone took the Jaguars to the AFCCG and has accomplished 2 things McDummy hasn't: 1) Won a road playoff game 2) Played the Patriots down to the wire in the AFFCG and led halfway through the 4th quarter before Brady did his thing. Keep in mind this was with a marginal NFL starter in Blake Bortles Rex Ryan also did the same with the Jets, also with a marginal NFL starter. So for the Bills fans that insist this loser is the best head coach we've had since Marv Levy, it's really time to rethink that and understand that without Josh Allen he'd been fired long ago and quite frankly at best on par with Ryan/Marrone.
  2. As much as I'd love to believe the Bills can replicate their strong (offensive) effort in recent weeks, the only way they can win is blowing out the Chiefs and that's obviously not happening regardless of Mahomes and their offenses struggles. In fact this is the week I predict that all these no name WR's that KC has magically starts catching everything thrown their way instead off all the drops and miscues because that's simply the Bills way so to speak. Watch this Pacheco guy go off too and KC racks up 200+ yards rushing because this defense is due to give up that type of performance. At least there won't be another last second, blown lead this time. Chiefs 35 Bills 20
  3. I don't think the Bills win because they Chiefs are likely going to do exactly what you say....run the ball down this defenses throat and have success doing it especially up the middle. In fact this team is due for an opposing team to run for 200+ yards against them and would be fitting it's this week with the assumption they can just shut down the Chiefs passing game like other teams have in recent weeks.
  4. This is actually good news in terms of getting help and possibly beating the Texans.
  5. Saw a report earlier that Dallas is going to fire Mike McCarthy if the Cowboys don't get to the superbowl at minimum. Keep in mind that he's already been to one (and won it) with the Packers. Couldn't help but think about how safe McDummy apparently is despite one single AFFCG appearance in 7 years, zero road playoff wins, etc. Just goes to show the difference between organizations that actually want to win something of note vs. those that are content with a few meaningless division titles and just happy to get to the postseason.
  6. What a true dumpster fire of an organization right now and almost impossible that 2 teams from the same division are this pathetic between the Jets and Patriots.
  7. I believe at the time the Packers traded Douglas to the Bills they were sitting at 2 or 3 wins and probably thought they were toast. But funny things have changed and too bad the Bills aren't in the NFC or they'd have a very real shot a that the playoffs this year even with 7 or 8 losses.
  8. If the Bills can find a way to win against the Chiefs on the road I would agree the season is far from over. But that sad reality is this team could win out and still miss the postseason because of tiebreakers. It's unreal how many teams in the AFC are in the playoff picture right now including both the Colts and Texans which are said teams that would beat the Bills in every important tiebreaker right now if they were even but both are a game better currently.
  9. Right now I'm taking the Dolphins to come out of the AFC this year especially if they end up with the #1 seed and get home field throughout. Their offense is a true well oiled machine and that defense is really starting to round into form despite losing one of their young stars the rest of the season recently.
  10. Packers all of a sudden looking like the proverbial 'team nobody wants to face in the playoffs', and if Love is truly a superstar in the making the Packers model for QB development is an interesting study going back to when Aaron Rogers was drafted during Favre's peak and sat multiple years before playing eerily similar to current situation with Love/Rogers. As for the Chiefs, they finally took a hard hit on the injury front last night especially on the defensive side which has carried that team this year. They still have probably the easiest schedule left of all AFC contenders but not sure they are going to cruise to the #1 seed and another SB win anymore.
  11. It's hard to look at anything about this team and call it positive should they in fact miss out on the postseason in a year when the Chiefs finally have shown marked decline and the AFC conference is up for grabs. Also for every positive this year, there will likely be many negatives in 2024 as this roster promises to look vastly different with a pending purge of veterans and other hefty contracts given a salary cap nightmare this front office has to work through.
  12. I initially thought the Bills would have close to zero chance to win this game, but it's now clear this 2023 Chiefs team is not like the 2018 - 2022 version (or the Patriots/Brady teams of years past). With that said it's still going to be a very tough proposition for a reeling Bills team to go into KC and beat a team also coming off a tough loss and I think the refs will be out for blood in this one too making sure the chiefs get the home cooking and favorable calls.
  13. It's a bit depressing thinking about the prospect that this team probably doesn't make the playoffs again until 2025 at the earliest, but obviously Beane will do a lot of work in the coming month to fix the pending salary cap nightmare. But it goes without saying that this current group is going out with a whimper and this will be a much different and younger roster next year.
  14. When it rains it pours, and sadly in Buffalo the worst is probably still yet to come...
  15. Just some random thoughts on this.... - Timing seems odd, but almost like this was intentional given the epic meltdown in Philly and latest news of Von Miller's incident. - If Josh Allen goes to Terry Pegula and tells him that McDummy needs to go have to believe that matters just a little. - If this team loses to KC (and they will), and loses big have to believe the lockerroom finally quits. Or maybe they already have and that's why this story was leaked ASAP. - Given the situation with Kim Pegula I definitely could see where Terry doesn't want to deal with a coaching and/or GM search in a few months. In the end, it's not going to be shocking when nothing happens after the season ends in early January but no way this clown's seat is extremely hot in 2024 and possibly fired midseason if the same old stuff keeps happening and considering that next year might be that ugly 'rebuilding' year very possibly Pegula wants to wait until 2025 for any real changes.
  16. If the Hoodie was 5 years young the obvious answer would be yes, but just not sure a 70+ year head coach is the answer right now especially since it would take at least 2 full seasons for him to have the style of defense he runs in place given how much turnover is needed (and coming) on that side of the ball right now.
  17. Why would anybody that has watched this team play all year believe they are capable of winning 5 straight games when 3 of them left are on the road (where this team is 1-5 this year). Especially KC where Andy Reid and Mahomes have never lost a December home game....again NEVER LOST A HOME GAME IN DECEMBER. Oh and do I really need to mention the elephant in the room (you know the clapping idiot on the Bills sideline). I admire some fans optimism and unwavering devotion but if the crushing loss to the Eagles wasn't the proverbial straw that broke the camels back, just wait until Mahomes all but ends the Bills season again, this time just not in the playoffs.
  18. Talk about some 'insider' reporting on one of the most obvious pending coaching changes coming. Won't be surprised if the chargers go all in on Belichik if the rumors about Kraft trading him are true.
  19. On one hand I think this is all just a stunt to try and keep the Jets lockerroom interested a few weeks longer (especially the defense), but if the Jets beat the Falcons at home this week they would have some new life and could be a factor in ultimately determining the AFC Wildcard and playoff picture with games left against the Dolphins, Texans and Browns.
  20. Here's another thought and I apologize if already mentioned previously in one of the many anti-McDummy threads, but if your Terry Pegula.....whether you fire McD right after the season, in-season next year, etc you have to eat money regardless unless there is an out for both sides. But if not he has to know there's no way he can keep him around for another 4 years or however long that extension was for.
  21. Nothing, which is why it's probably a long shot. But again we don't know the specifics of his contract and if there is any loopholes in the Pegula's favor.
  22. There's a lot of anecdotal evidence out there that the NFL (and all pro sports) are tampered with to a certain degree. In fact if you into conspiracy theories there's at least one video out out there of an insider confessing to point shaving and blatant rigging in the NFL specifically going back at least 20+ years. And you do have to wonder if there is a real 'script' so to speak just like pro wresting, if that's the case I really wonder why Buffalo was chosen to be on the receiving end of so many horrific losses unless they will eventually be 'rewarded' with multiple SB wins or something for playing this part now. Also as far as the vegas aspect, really have to wonder why they didn't have the Bills win because seems like they would have made a fortune on this game and cost bettors millions for putting their money on Philly.
  23. I'll respond to this nonsense with a classic quote from the Bills drought years, I believe from another team's coach although can't place the name right now....but it's something to the tune of 'The Bills are the hardest team in the league to play, but the easiest to beat'. And truer words couldn't be spoken especially in regards the the McD era teams. Even with what most believe is an elite top 5 franchise QB, it defies logic that this team continues to come out on the wrong side of the W/L column in every close game, against the leagues best (or in some case worst) over and over.
  24. Do you really need to ask this question? We all know the answer.
  25. I'll expand on what I just said in another thread, but maybe instead of getting fired the Pegula's and McDummy agree to a mutual separation (i.e. resigning) in which he can still collect some money but not the full remainder of his contract. Obviously we don't know the specifics of the contract extension he just signed but maybe there's an out in there for both sides and would look better on paper for McD similar to the whole sham with Frazier deciding to 'take a year off'.
