  1. Bass is probably having his worst year as a pro, but we are probably going to need him to make a big kick at some point in the playoffs. But yeah I'll also likely be very nervous when that happens especially if it's to tie or take the lead late in a game.
  2. Where would Reid be without Mahomes/McNabb? McD without Allen? Obviously Brady was a major factor in Belichik's success and 6 SB rings, but the situation is what it is and still think there's no real debate that he's the GOAT and it was the perfect match for the greater part of 2 decades in Foxboro.
  3. A bit surprised by this move. Not because I don't think Mayo may end up being a good coach, but figured that Kraft may want to move away from the Belichik sphere of influence/coaching tree.
  4. Filthy's WC weekend predictions: Bills over Steelers Chiefs over Dolphins Texans over Browns Cowboys over Packers Eagles over Bucs Lions over Rams (toughest game to pick because I feel winner may go all the way to SB). What ya'all thinking outside of the Bills game??
  5. Buy: TE position, I think both Knox/Kincaid will be the key in a game where downfield passing might not be much of an option pending the weather. Sell: Torrance, I know it won't likely happen but if i'm the coaching staff it's very tempting to sit him for the playoffs and start Bates or Edwards given how much of a liability he's been in recent weeks and this team will be facing dominant players in the middle from here on out (Hayword, Jones, etc). Hold: Cook, he still makes me nervous every time he touches the ball and has dropped a lot very catchable balls. I get the sense McD probably don't trust him either and expect to see a lot of playoff Lenny going forward.
  6. I have no problem admitting I was wrong on some of these guys (especially Bernard who just about everyone though was a horrendous pick at the time), but it's still a bit premature to label some of these guys 'studs' unless that's your interpretation of a solid NFL starter. Specifically guys like Shakir, benford and Torrence who at this point have really just shown they are viable NFL players. Torrance in particual has actually struggled quite a bit in the 2nd half of the season despite all the promise he showed early but he's a rookie and by no means time to panic about it.
  7. Like I said, if that's the case I'm sitting them and rolling the dice...especially Dodson and Douglas who are most important to this team against much better competition on the horizon after the Steelers. Spector looked like a thumper out there and we know Jackson has been fairly average, if not above average at times.
  8. Yeah but just to satisfy the rooney rule nonsense which I do feel bad for him in that case.
  9. Regarding the comment about tearing it down, regardless how this season ends (this weekend or early Feb)....it's no secret that this team is going to look vastly different next year given the pending salary cap nightmare that Beane (most likely) will have to sort out. Many of these veterans are going to be long gone and/or not resigned and it will be true reset/soft rebuild which is critical in the sense that it will dictate how soon the next window will open for Josh Allen and other core players in the long term plans. But this is also why I felt that if this season went up in flames, which appeared to be the case after the Broncos MNF game, that it was the ideal time to start over with a new head coach and schemes better designed to win in the playoffs. So again, if this team does fails yet again...especially if they can't advance past the divisional round which sadly I predict is going to be the case...there has to be serious discussions regarding coaching, and the schemes in place. We all know this defense has looked great in the regular season before only to basically implode come playoff time and that's what I'll personally be watching closely.
  10. I've never really been a fan of Rogers, but starting to like him more and more after this latest fiasco.
  11. The news today on the Bills injury front certainly isn't promising, but I still think that they should be fine against the Steelers without any of these guys. Certainly Douglass and Dodson will hurt the most but need all hands on deck next week and healthy especially if it's the Chiefs.
  12. Like Belichik, still think Carroll is a good coach despite his age. But certainly get why the Seahawks want to go a different direction given the disappointing end to their season and as good as a story Geno Smith is he might not be the answer there going forward.
  13. Nothing against Frazier, but what exactly is the selling point for a guy that was quietly forced out of Buffalo and resume highlights include 'hail murray', '13 seconds', etc. If he still wants to coach it would probably have to be some sort of senior assistant, position coach specific job because I definitely wouldn't want him as a DC.
  14. I still think you can argue that anything short of a superbowl appearance warrants serious discussion regarding McD's future here. But if for some reason they lay an egg to a Steelers team without TJ Watt and a 3rd string starting QB that would probably be out of the league by now under most circumstances... not sure how coaching once again isn't front and center in Buffalo as the main reason why this nightmare scenario could play out.
  15. The point was at least he had similar 'accomplishments' to mcD, but like I said...I get it, sometimes change just makes sense and Titans have been bad the last 2 years where the Bills have not obviously. Also regarding Hoodie.....I'm already of the believe that it's time for both sides to move on. Because unless the Pats make a trade or sign a proven veteran QB I don't see them being able to improve much next year. And at least for Belichik, time is of the essence given his age so if he's going to continue coaching it makes sense that it's somewhere else with a roster that's more ready to compete for a championship out of the gate (i.e. Chargers).
  16. The Vrabel news is interesting, especially considering his career highlight is pretty much the same as McD's.....getting to an AFCCG against the Chiefs and losing. He's also won 2 road playoff games and McD has zero of those under his belt to this point. But it just goes to show what is truly important to some owners, and obviously the Titans are going through a pretty significant rebuild moving forward with a young QB, King Henry and many other veterans impending departure, etc...so it does make sense to start fresh from that point of view where the Bills will still have Allen any many other pieces next year despite their own pending roster turnover, and coming off a playoff appearance even if they don't go far again.
  17. I'll never admit what's not true. A pessimistic/negative Bills in most cases (if anything because of years of failure going back to the superbowl years)....absolutely, but like I've told you before my life isn't necessarily that exciting to 'masquerade' as a Bills fan, all while secretly being a Dolphins fan....could care less about them but have never been afraid to give them their due and I really believed they would win the division this year...but yes I was wrong and happy about it.
  18. Chiefs are also a cold weather team, not quite 'cold weather' like Buffalo but they've definitely played in their share of ugly games through the years. But this is why I say it favors them now more than ever because they don't have that high flying passing game anymore, they have the best defense in the NFL carrying them this year which is a bad omen for everyone in the AFC playoffs this year, not just the Bills.
  19. Teef, I don't understand your beef brotha...I've always admitted when I'm wrong, here on 2 bills drive and social media....and it's funny how so many people want to pounce on me without looking in the mirror and reviewing their own (failed) predictions. At least I put it out there and that's why the NFL is way too unpredictable every year and many of these so called 'experts' end up being way off as well. And I'm sure I'll be wrong with my postseason predictions as well because they certainly don't include the Bills playing in the SB or winning it...but in this case obviously want to be dead wrong again because this current window is never going to be more open that it is now.
  20. I agree that this is probably McD's finest hour in terms of what he was able to accomplish this year given the aforementioned circumstances, but it still means absolutely nothing unless this team finally goes the distance this year and plays real playoff caliber football. Losing this week to the Steelers or a 3rd straight loss in the divisional round still warrants serious consideration of moving on from him sooner than later in my eyes. Some would probably argue that even another AFCCG appearance (and loss) that he should be replaced. It's now or never for this group that's going to look vastly different next year regardless of how far they go in the postseason.
  21. Be careful what you wish for, the Chiefs have actually been a better road team this year (7-2) than at home (4-4) and they are built perfectly in the trenches to dominate come playoff time. That's why I keep saying I want no part of them again in the playoffs and praying for Miami to shock the world and pull off the big upset Saturday night.
  22. If weather is a big factor in this game, that makes me more nervous especially since the Steelers have been dominating the trenches in recent weeks and have had success pounding the football which has opened up some of these big pass plays they've hit on. But at the same time, this is what the Bills have been trying to establish themselves as for years with little success until this year...a physical running team that can built for games exactly like this if need be. So if's a repeat of the Dallas game where JA17 isn't a big factor and passes for 100 yards sign me up all day if it means a win in a playoff game.
  23. This is what's key and should give all Bills fans hope that a SB run is possible. You take away that 2nd half/overtime against the Eagles and this defense has essentially been championship caliber since the Broncos MNF debacle. Credit to McD for getting this unit to come together and seems like everyone is getting in on the action except Miller who needs to go back to bench yet again for the playoffs.
  24. Miami 100% I want no part of Mahomes and the Chiefs again...don't care that it's in Buffalo this time and that it would also be their first AFC road playoff game. That defense is elite and all time historical this year which is why deep down I can still see them winning the SB this year especially if the Ravens are knocked out and/or they get past them. And pessimism aside, I just don't see Mahomes/Reid ever losing a game that matters to McD/Allen and there's a reason why the only 2 QB's to ever win a playoff game against him are Brady and Joe Burrow.
  25. Davis has been a polarizing figure in Buffalo, but it's a safe bet that he's playing out the string at this point even if he were to explode in the playoffs again similar to 2021. And in that case he's simply just helping his price tag in free agency.
