  1. If I were the Dolphins front office, you probably stay the course considering they almost won the division despite a roster ravaged by key injuries as the season wore on and a few plays go different in the finale against the Bills they might have just pulled it out. Either way that roster is still loaded and oozing with premium talent....staying healthy a big problem though similar to the Bills and they key guys in recent years.
  2. Obviously this part is up for debate. But i would give pause because of how good the Chiefs defense is (and real reason I think the Bills lose this game) and I believe the only game winning drive they gave up all year in the final 2 minutes was the opener against the Lions when Jones and Kelce were out.
  3. I still think Tua is an elite franchise QB. Obviously at some point though he's going to have to win a big game just like Dak Prescott who has also posted silly regular season numbers for years but came up small in the playoffs/big games.
  4. Agree 100% with this, but the Chiefs and Mahomes are obviously a different animal then most of the teams we've played in recent weeks including beating them in KC which the entire Chiefs organization believes was a fluke because of a questionable call and will make sure they aren't in position for that to happen again. Also why should I be questioned as a fan because I believe the team that is 2-0 against the Bills in the playoffs, has the best QB in the NFL, been to 3 superbowls (won 2 including last year), etc isn't going to take care of business and do what they always do regardless of finally getting homefield in Buffalo? If the Chiefs had looked like trash and barely beat the Dolphins I'd probably have a much different feeling right now. But they didn't, and looked like a team ready to win another championship especially since the offense was clicking magically.
  5. I think Miller had some real moment yesterday, and if there was ever a game for him (and the entire pass rush) to play the game of their season it's obviously this week against the Chiefs and a top 5 offensive line.
  6. Praying for good news the next few days on the Bills injury front. Just amazing though that KC barely every has any injuries of note despite playing a similar brand of physical football. They are either lucky or their guys are flat out better NFL players.
  7. I don't, just being realistic. There's a reason why the Bills are only 2 point favorites at home and suspect that line moves in KC's direction as the week plays out. Obviously I've been wrong before but the Chiefs looked extremely dominant against the same Dolphins team we barely beat the week before. They are 7-2 on the road this year and will have a massive chip on their shoulder heading into Buffalo to not only kill the 'never played a road playoff game' narrative and prove that their loss against the Bills last month was a fluke because of that Toney offside crap. They know they are also living rent free in the entire Bills organization heads after the last playoff meeting too. If the Bills can jump on them similar to what happened the first time and yesterday against the Steelers I think they obviously have a shot.
  8. Either they haven't been impressed with what they've in practice and the limited time he's been on the field so far, or they simply don't want to disrupt the lockerroom because of Murray's apparent veteran leadership and what not. At this point though barring injuries it looks like they will continue to roll with the Cook/Murray/Johnson lineup.
  9. Well here we are, the game that everyone seems to have wanted. But still think in this situation you have to go with the better QB, coach and defense and that's the Chiefs across the board which is why having home field this time likely won't matter. Praying I'm wrong for sure though.
  10. The Cowboys are truly puzzling in terms of how soft and terrible they look come playoff time. But even if Jerry cans McCarthy, is Belichik or anyone else going to fix the Dak problem? IMO that's the bigger issue right now in Dallas.
  11. Yes and ST as a whole has been terrible this year outside of Harty's heroics last week. Bass seems really shaky this year and the only silver lining is he can't possibly have a worse game then he did against the Steelers...at least I think, but who on earth has any confidence in him hitting a potential game tying/winning kick against the Chiefs or any other team in the playoffs?
  12. This is a bit silly for a number of reasons. But if there was ever a time we need to see the '100+ yard 2 TD game' version of Diggs it's definitely this week against an elite Chiefs defense if the Bills are going to have any chance to win.
  13. The Bills were impressive and never felt this game was in danger even when the Steelers pulled within 7 in the 4th quarter. Obviously big concerns at present moving forward: - Defensive injury situation. Not an excuse but they have some very key guys possibly out at the worse time with defending world champs coming to Buffalo - ST/Bass. Maybe a blessing in disguise to get this type of game out of the way in a comfortable win at home. But kicker is all of a sudden a major need in the offseason I think. - Chiefs. Said all along they will 'magically look different' come playoff time and what they did against the Dolphins was far more impressive than what the Bills did against the Steelers, and the same Dolphins team a weak before. Injuries aside still feel the Bills season probably comes to an end on Sunday sadly.
  14. Regarding the Texans, the only thing that shocked me was how bad they beat a vastly overrated Browns team. I felt all along this was one of the easier games to pick in the WC round, but didn't see that type of shallacking. But I still tend to believe that the Texans likely aren't as good as they showed against the Browns and will come back to earth against the Ravens. But imagine if the Texans do win on Saturday....obviously that means the winner of the Bills/Chiefs gets to host them in the AFCCG next week.
  15. Thanks man. Still not sure what all these pundits saw in the Browns other than beating up a bunch of bad teams down the stretch. Said all along that they lost to only real team they played during Flacco's stretch (RAMS) and a rematch against the Texans with Stroud back would be a big mismatch for them. Didn't think they'd lose as bad as they did though but wheels came off quickly after the 2nd Flacco pick 6.
  16. I'm all for a good conspiracy....but the issue here if the missed kick argument is valid, it's simply a terrible call by the refs and something they didn't/couldn't review on replay back in those days. I believe the Broncos got plastered in the superbowl that year anyway, as the Browns would have too given how dominant the NFC was during the greater part of the 80's and 90's.
  17. I picked the Chiefs but still won't be surprised if Miami wins despite the weather issues, especially looking at what they did in Buffalo last year with a similar beat up team starting a rookie 3rd string QB.
  18. This would make the most sense which is why I'm still paranoid McD will do the opposite and try pounding the football early and often. Make no mistake about it, Tomlin knows he's going to have to take a lot of chances in this game (i.e. go for multiple 4th downs) to have a chance and I could see them actually trying to be the aggressors early to build a lead and put all the pressure on the Bills side.
  19. I see a lot of parallels to the 2021 team and still think this is going to be the best chance this team is ever going to have for many reasons that have been beat to death on this forum in recent weeks (pending salary cap/FA departures, JA17 contract kicking in, Chiefs/Mahomes down year, etc).
  20. Not that this team needs extra motivation, but all this probowl and all pro nonsense would do it. Simply laughable that whoever is making these picks is discounting some of the key guys on this team who you can argue are soley responsible for carrying this team to 5 straight wins and 4th straight division title.
  21. Again, it's not rocket science....if this team loses it will be because of coaching. Weather has nothing to do with it no matter how many will likely rush to use that excuse why.
  22. Since the passing game may not be a big factor this week I'd definitely roll the dice and sit Douglas. Going to need him 100% against the Chiefs/Browns/Texans in next round.
  23. The point is you can't rewrite history and get into hypothetical with BB and Brady....regardless of your feelings towards them. Also important to point though that Brady really didn't become truly dominant until 2007 when they landed Moss and almost went undefeated before losing to the Giants in the SB that year. The first 3 SB's they won between 2001 - 2004 were based on dominant defense and ST with Brady being the ultimate 'clutch game manager' so to speak in the playoffs, so you certainly have to give credit to Belichik for that.
  24. Ya'll know I'm one of the most negative folks here when it comes to this team. But come on, regardless of if the weather is terrible....the Bills literally have an abominable snowman type of creature of their sideline and the Steelers have a guy named Mason Rudolph. If they are built to win and dominate in this type of game they never will be. If the Bills do lose this game it's going to be because of coaching (especially ultra conservative decisions), not because of the weather so buckle up and have some confidence in this team!
  25. Still going to be weird watching Patriots games without him on the sidelines, especially when the Bills play them. But it was obviously time for change and still think Belichik has more than enough juice left to contend for a championship especially if he lands with the Chargers, or possibly a team like the Eagles or Cowboys if they make a change if their season ends early in the playoffs.
