All things Trubisky, solid interview

I don't see my self becoming a fan of Caleb Pressley. However, some of the tweets in this thread are brilliant. -
Vote for Josh Allen being Fed Ex air player of the week
BigAl2526 replied to loedward22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hopefully, someone from the Bills public relations team is getting after NFL.com for this. I know it's beneath Brandon Beane's pay scale, but this is the sort of thing Chris Brown and company should be looking for and squawking about. -
Vote for Josh Allen being Fed Ex air player of the week
BigAl2526 replied to loedward22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The reality is Josh Allen had more total passing yards, a higher completion percentage, more completions, and if you include his running touchdown, more touchdowns than his competitors for the award. How does he not win? -
Bucs at Patriots - How to Process this Game
BigAl2526 replied to BillsfaninSB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While Brady may well have personal reasons for wanting to rub a victory in Belichick's face, the only issue for me as a Bills fan is Belichick and the Patriots getting knocked back to where they can't climb out of the hole and claim the division crown or a wild card berth. -
Davis Mills' college draft report says he's smart and has a good arm, but he's a pocket passer with little mobility, and didn't have a whole lot of college experience. I doubt he got a lot of starter reps in training camp. The bottom line is, he has to be learning on the fly. He's not going to have anywhere near the kind of escapability that Taylor Heineke has. I don't think Houston has a great offensive line or elite receivers. If Buffalo's defense doesn't have a great day on Sunday, they shouold feel embarrassed for themselves. Frankly, it's the same for Buffalo's offense. If Mills had a normal neck, he'd be 6 feet tall, not 6'4"

Lions release Jamie Collins
BigAl2526 replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He will be 32 in two weeks He had near elite speed when he was drafted, but has put on weight. I would be surprised if he's maintained his speed. Buffalo's defensive system is very complex, besides depending on speedy linebackers. If Jamie Collins is a fit at all, it will be a few weeks before he could step on the field and making defensive calls. If he were a few years younger, I would say "go for it." I'm not all that interested as things stand. -
If Buffalo blows out a lot of teams, Josh may not be getting a lot of playing time in fourth quarters.

Most Points For in the AFC! & a few rando thoughts...
BigAl2526 replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Houston game should be a blowout for Buffalo. That sets up a huge game with KC in week 5. Is it safe to assume Mahomes is going to return to MVP form at some point? Meanwhile, the Chiefs' scoring defense is tied for worst in the league. That may be tougher for them to fix. If Buffalo can pull off a win versus KC, I could see them finishing the season at 15-2 or 16 -1. That sounds outrageously optimistic, but if Buffalo beats KC, they are arguably the best team in the AFC. -
Week 1: Rams Week 2: Broncos Week 3: Cardinals Week 4: Bengals I figure this is a good opportunity to pick a team that might not be dominant in other games, but should win versus a struggling team. I can save a supposedly dominant team for a later week.

Zach Moss needs to be the lead back
BigAl2526 replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I posted elsewhere that I think Buffalo should start Moss when they play a team with a good physical defensive line. I think when Buffalo plays a team with a soso defensive line, they should start Singletary. That's because Moss seems better and making something out of nothing. When the offensive line can blow holes in the defensive line, Singletary has more ability to make people miss when he gets into the open field. -
He's in better shape than he's been in the past.

Including Hurts, Alabama has put 3 QBs in the NFL in the last 3 years. That pretty much speaks for itself. As far as QBs with a full set of elite traits are concerned, those are rarities even in the NFL. I'm sure if Alabama could recruit one, they would, but Nick Saban is competing with lots of other teams, and Saban is not omniscient. He can also miss on a player, like so many other missed on Josh Allen. At some point, I think Saban is likely to hit on a QB who has it all.

Schedule makers did us no favors
BigAl2526 replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No need to restate the Washington results, and the Houston game. regardless of a so-called mini bye, is as close to a "gimme" game as the league will likely see this season. I don't think having played two bad teams coming off "mini-byes" will have any detrimental effect on the Bills when they face KC and Tennessee. The concerns facing KC are about whether or not KC can get themselves straightened out, and can Josh Gordon get on the field in two weeks and be effective. Tennessee is probably less of a concern than KC. Even though their record is 2-1, the same as Buffalo, they have a net - 13 point differential where Buffalo is tied for the league lead with a + 50. -
I think it is relatively easy to predict the AFCE and AFCS. I think way too many things can happen in the AFCN and AFCW to start etching anyone in stone.

If KC is not feeling the pressure yet, they must be brain dead.

9/26/21 Bills vs. WTF Postgame Thread
BigAl2526 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Regarding Chandler's initial point of discussion, I think it illustrates the risk of giving key starters too little playing time in preseason. Everyone was worried about Josh Allen regressing, but maybe it was just rust. I think it is also true that Buffalo has tended to struggle with defensive lines that are big, tough, and most of all physical. Pittsburgh, in my opinion, is one of the more physical defensive lines in the league. They like to beat up on offensive lines if they can. -
I'm OK with making taunting an unsportsmanlike penalty if they want. I think a fine is a bit much. Maybe if a player engages in such behavior regularly.

It helps keep our young defensive ends' confidence sky high as they breeze by Hart every day in practice.
