  1. Despite the fact that the Bills are among the most talent laden teams in the league, I think most fans have some agreement about where Buffalo needs to focus in the 2022 draft. We probably need to assume that Emmanuel Sanders is gone. He's 34 years old and on a one year deal. Beasley also seems to be wearing out his welcome in Buffalo. It may be that Isaiah McKenzie will be able to step in into a slot receiver role. There are other receivers on the roster who could easily take reps at WR across from Diggs, but nobody has real deep speed. Buffalo could look there in the draft. Of course, they could look for a CB with some elite traits. They could also look to continue upgrading the offensive line. Lastly, the Bills need to find an alternative to Lotulelei at nose tackle. Lotulelei is good, better than most people think, but he's a bit overpriced and at 31 years old, he's closer to the end of his career than his beginning.
  2. His father is Bill Belichick. That should explain any anti-social behavior you see from the kid.
  3. I think there was one contested ball he did not catch. I wouldn't really call it a drop.
  4. Josh Allen's career trajectory would likely have been far different if he started for three years at a major university like both Hebert and Mahomes, or if he'd had the luxury of sitting behind a quality starter for a year as an NFL rookie like Mahomes.
  5. Grant, if I'm correct, is one of the fastest receivers in the league. The Dolphins must have decided with Tua as their QB, speed in a WR is irrelevant.
  6. That's why GMs pay attention to hand size at the combine. We poke fun at it sometimes, but it means something.
  7. Murray has most, if not all of Lamar Jackson's athleticism, and he's a far better passer. He is a nightmare for opposing teams to defend.
  8. I think Driskel was an emergency signing when Taylor was put on the IR. As I think about it, probably the Texans just haven't bothered to update their depth chart. I wouldn't be surprised if when Taylor comes back, Driskel either heads to the PS or is cut outright.
  9. I looked through their roster and missed him. Interestingly, Driskel is missing from the Texans' depth chart.
  10. I believe if Mills were to have gotten hurt, Houston would have had to use an emergency QB, someone who primarily plays a different position, but may have been a QB in a previous lifetime. Dawson Knox played QB in high school, so he could probably take snaps there in an emergency, but Buffalo sure wouldn't want to have to depend on him as a QB. For Houston, Deshaun Watson is on the Texans roster, but has not practiced and refuses to play for Houston, so they can't put him in. Whenn he's healthy, Tyrod Taylor is the only other QB available to the Texans.
  11. When it comes to offense, I agree. Josh had a shade under 250 yards, a very nice day, but it's not going to raise too many eyebrows. The run game was quite a bit more productive than is typical in this day and age, but it was the result of a rotation rather than one dominant running back. Buffalo did, however, have a huge day on defense. Granted it was against a rookie QB, and not one what enjoyed any hype coming out of college. Still, in some ways it was historically good. One of those elements was takeaways. I would guess that after this week, Buffalo will be in the lead or very close to it in turnover ratio.
  12. I know of a good number of Dunkin outlets in the Rochester area, often directly across the street from a Tim Horton's.
  13. Obviously, Boettger will be the replacement for Feliciano. He'll be fine. I guess Jaquan Johnson will be the primary replacement for Poyer, but I think Hamlin will get some reps. Johnson is supposed to be very smart. Hamlin has better size and athleticism.
  14. The Dolphins have been dysfunctional since Adam Gase was hired as head coach. The Jets have been dysfunctional since Rex Ryan was head coach, and so far conclusive evidence that it's over is lacking. Things are getting more dysfunctional by the minute at Foxboro. Meanwhile at OBD things are humming along like a well oiled machine.
  15. I still get to use the Bills in a future week. I may avoid the KC game though.
  16. A little under 25% in the pool picked the Bengals, but I hear ya.
  17. Got by week 4 by the skin of my teeth. The Bengals nearly laid an egg, but pulled it out against the Jags in the closing minutes of play. In the end, I got what I wanted. I got to use what is most likely a third tier team and I survived, thus saving a top tier team for a bit later in the season.
  18. I don't think UB should join in efforts to build a stadium in Orchard Park. I think that the University has an obligation to keep games somewhat student friendly. I assume a significant number of students don't have cars, and getting to games in Orchard Park could be a headache. On the other hand, I think the idea of building a stadium near UB's Amherst campus deserves a close look.
  19. Wise decision on his part. He was done a while ago. Nice career.
  20. Well, we already knew that Robert Kraft was not the genteel Mr. nice guy he pretended to be for years. Now we have confirmation that Belichick is really cow poop, as if we didn't know already. Maybe it's time to start thinking of New England as America's cesspool.
  21. I didn't see any posts on the weather for Sunday. In a word, "wet." It's not supposed to be especially windy or cold, but a steady rain is expected. Josh Allen has played in the rain, and shouldn't be bothered too much by it, but it's something to be aware of, and prepare for if the team can. I can see making sure the balls are good and wet during practice the next couple of days. I assume the equipment manager has a good handle on the best footwear for wet turf at the stadium. On the other side of it, I doubt that Davis Mills or the Texans tend to play a lot of games in soggy conditions. Mills played his college ball in sunny California.
  22. I'm going the other way. Daryl Williams was not all that effective when he tried to play guard.. Obviously, at 6'8" Spencer Brown is not built to be a guard. However, with his elite athleticism for the tackle position, I think he looks more like a left tackle. I think the Bills might move Dawkins to guard, and install Brown at the left tackle spot. They leave Daryl Williams on the right. Obviously, it will help if Tommy Doyle can develop into a swing tackle.
  23. I don't see my self becoming a fan of Caleb Pressley. However, some of the tweets in this thread are brilliant.
  24. Hopefully, someone from the Bills public relations team is getting after NFL.com for this. I know it's beneath Brandon Beane's pay scale, but this is the sort of thing Chris Brown and company should be looking for and squawking about.
