  1. I believe Poyer mentioned they moved from two high to single high after the first half in an effort to stop the run. McDaniel has great ability to scheme a gameplan on offense, but I dont think he adjusts well. In the second half, we saw the exact same concepts and formations from the first half, and then once it was stopped a few times he just abandoned it entirely. There have also been metrics that show the Dolphins get worse and worse in efficiency as games go on. It's exactly what you said, if you stop them early, your chances of winning go up and up as the game goes on. McD gets flak, but he did a great job handling Miami's offense. It reminded me of his ability to stop the Ravens as well. He really forces teams to win in secondary manners. He wont let you run your offense over and over again.
  2. Dion, Rapp are for sure will plays id guess Douglas will play too Gabe and Dodson I think won’t. Dodson we just don’t know anything yet
  3. I’m hoping he can play. My guess is he tweaked his knee in that collision, and now it comes down to fluidity with movement. my guess is he plays, but may get pulled if he has any effects
  4. Davis ran a full route when Dolphins showed cover 0 blitz. You need to either make the cut immediately or run a dig. He did neither. Was a lack of understanding
  5. Dolphins had 1 first down gained without a penalty in the second half…. Insane defense. Mcd made all of the right calls. Allen shot himself in the foot a few times, but the guy got that 3rd and 13 with 5 minutes left that was a play only he makes. lets go beat up Pitt at home baby!
  6. Reminds me of when the Dolphins needed to win to get in and came to Buffalo a few years ago. bills went up 28-0 in the second and rested starters the remainder of the game. hopefully it’s a similar result!
  7. Tua is a Kirk Cousins type of QB - in Tier not in play style. He will be a starter in the league (barring injury) for another 5-6 years. I could see him going to a team like Washington, or maybe Denver in a swap of QBs. However, he doesn't have that gamebreaker ability that the top QBs have. I expect Miami will sign him to a 5-7 year deal with outs at year 3. The problem for them is the same problem every team faces - they have other talent that will need contracts. Waddle, Jalen Phillips, etc. Will be interesting to see what happens to the team over the next few years.
  8. You have always been thorough in your assessments, which I respect. I tend to throw a lot of points in one post so pardon any layered thoughts. I agree - what we are seeing KC right now is what the Bills COULD be if they dont address their lack of weapons. Kincaid has shown to be a good receiving TE, can we develop him into a top 5 TE in the league? Does Shakir develop into a slot guy that is truly a differentiator? Do we draft TWO outside options and move Diggs to slot/motion moving forward? What I dont want is next year we go in with Diggs/Shorter on the outside and Shakir in the slot. That's eerily close to KC level of crappy talent. At the end of the day, even without a top end WR room I think the Bills are a playoff team. I just don't think they are a Super Bowl team. Same with KC right now. They are a playoff team, but not a Super Bowl Team. It's important that Beane continues to address holes on the team and drafts well. Things he has shown to do in the past. Unfortunately, this season will ride on Allen's ability to create, and the team's ability to win the turnover battle. We likely aren't going to win in a straight shootout with teams. We need to control our possessions, convert redzone opportunities to TDs, and play sound defense, limiting teams to FGs. In the offseason, we will see where we do in FA and the draft. I remember the reports that the Bills really wanted Jalen Addison.... what could have been!
  9. I mean, if we used negative words of course we can discredit the wins we have. We played a Chargers team with a new HC in their first week, with jobs to play for. And we won. We played a Chiefs team who have a top 3 QB who is the focus of the offense, and beat them. In KC. And their defense is spectacular this year. We played an Eagles team who is fighting for a division title, and lost a close game where Allen and Davis were a simple miscommunication from winning. We played a Patriots team who were 2-1 in their last 3 and have a very good defense (allowed over 30 points only once in their last 11 games). We beat up a Dallas team by doing exactly what we should, exploiting their weaknesses. We are 5-1 in our last 6. My opinion is this offense doesn't have an identity, because our previous identity (pass heavy offense with an elite QB/WR) isn't good enough anymore. Davis has had a poor catch rate, Allen doesn't trust his receivers on tight throws, probably because he constantly hears how turnover prone he is. Diggs is likely battling some sort of injury or issue that is limiting him on effectiveness, and he has dropped balls that in previous years he would catch. We just dont have the offense to play like we did with Daboll. It's why Allen has 14 RUSHING td's on the year. The team is in a transition on offense. They will likely go WR early in the draft, and try to bring in talent that will ultimately replace Davis. Shakir is a decent player but not a plus slot guy like Beasley was. Harty is a poor mans Mckenzie. I dont blame Beane for this, I think it's the reality of roster construction. We shored up the OL and sacrificed in the talent areas. We are the opposite of the Dolphins, who have great weapons but a poor OL. This week is THE week to see what we are. Can we beat a Dolphins team that plays well at home? Or do we fold, have turnovers, and struggle to move the ball? Im hoping we come out with the W and the division title!
  10. I'd be shocked if they let him go. He is such a great player, and one you need in a top D
  11. Interior was exposed a few times. McGovern made an error or two as well. However, the Patriots have an above average DL. Barmore/Wise are great players. The Bills have struggled a bit with really good DTs. Quinnon Williams had some pressures against them, Barmore showed well, Cincy used their interior DL to make plays. The Patriots D was just REALLY good on Sunday. Going back the last 3 times we have played them, their D has been solid in each game. They are playing well enough in the secondary for their d line to get pressure
  12. I find the offense more fluid under Brady. Dorsey sometimes confused me with why he would make a call and when. When you look at the teams, Brady hung 35 on the Jets, 34 on the Eagles, 20 on the chiefs, and 31 on the Cowboys. Dorsey missed scoring over 20 points in 3 of his last 5 games, and didn’t get over 30 over his last 6. if you take Dorsey’s last 6 vs Brady’s first 6, it’s a ppg difference of 7 points (21 vs 28). That’s a large change. It’s a sizable improvement
  13. Mahomes has a turnover in 9 of his last 10 games:… but Allen is the turnover machine
  14. Of course, but they have shown against top teams in the league they can win games and look good doing it (Miami, KC, Dallas). They are a great team in my eyes because they can beat any team any week. Good teams can’t do that.
  15. This Bills team just beat the chiefs and cowboys in back to back weeks. That team didn’t leave, turnovers caused this to be a close one. Any team will say turnovers need to be limited to win games. But the Bills just won WITH a -3 turnover differential. That’s the sign of a good team with an off night. Their defense is stout, the offense can hit a home run at any point. Just need to protect the ball, and this team IS a nightmare against anyone in the league
  16. Bills dominated all three phases. Made Dallas look undisciplined and weak on both sides of the line of scrimmage. really impressed with this team over the last few weeks. Good for them
  17. Brady is having a dick measuring contest with Dan Quinn, and he is dominating. Pretty much telling Quinn if you don’t switch up your defense we will use continue to win the line of scrimmage in the run game. its beautiful
  18. You can run the ball right at Parsons and he will allow yards. He doesn't gap contain incredibly well. When you drop back, roll Allen away from Parsons and let the quick passing game be a consistent part of the offense.
  19. Douglas gives us size to match up against great TEs as well. I like how they used him against Kelce early in the game to stunt early production.
  20. Dunne's article clearly had quotes talking about Sean being a "me" guy and a narcissist... There were absolutely questions about him as a person.
  21. I expect Mahomes to apologize publicly today to try to mitigate impacts. What a dumb move from him to just lose it. If I'm the Patriots, I'm taking every extra shot/hit/smack on Mahomes as I can next week to try to force the ref's hand a bit. This is Mahomes worst year in his career, looks completely frustrated
  22. Diggs plays so hard every time he has the ball or is targeted, I do get concerned for his health towards the end of each season - I hope today was just a case of a great gameplan and a little lack of concentration
  23. I dont want us to gloss over the absolutely incredible play allen made to Murray on the catch and fumble. Just insane to withstand the pressure, and hold the ball until the VERY last chance he could throw it. That was an incredible play
