  1. Bills WRs were ok this game. However, their lack of a high end kicker has cost them 3 field goals and 2 extra points this year. 11 points because Bass has no consistency.
  2. If Allen has the nards he is walking into Beanes office tomorrow telling him to sign a better kicker. We cannot allow points lost on field goals and extra points
  3. Brady called 3 really strong quarters of football. Third quarter was ok, but penalties hurt the product. defense held on, but the jets lucked into 20 points. Hail Mary and scoring off of that bad roughing the passer on AJ won’t happen every week i was particularly shocked at how poor the jets defense looked. Sauce Gardner may be the most overrated corner in the league by quite a margin
  4. I'm not convinced that the Jets will all of a sudden be a spectacular offense, and I also believe the Bills will find ways to put up points (I expect them to have plenty of blitz counters planned). 27-17 Bills
  5. If the expectation is that the Bills would have 3 of the top 20ish young receivers in the game, that's already a bar that not a single team in the NFL can meet - let alone show that by ignoring other positions to do so may lead to gaps across the team that limit success Secondly, of the 17 guys on your list, the Bills didnt even have a real chance to get 7 of them (5 or more picks away from their first round selection). Really, they had chances on: Coleman - We drafted him - At expectation right now AD Mitchell - Has 6 catches this year Legette - worse than Coleman so far Polk - 70 yards this year Worthy - Very similar to Keon so far Reed - Projected as a 4th round guy who was taken middle of the second Wicks - 10 catches this year Rice - Steal - great pick by KC Puka - Great pick by Rams Dell - 137 yards this year and 0 TDs They drafted Coleman who has been right at expectations so far, in place of some of the other guys in that range who are performing at or below Keon's level. Reed was a great pick by Green Bay, but was considered a reach at the time. Rice and Puka were great picks, but Beane also should get credit for Shakir, who looks spectacular. It would be nice if the Bills had selected a Rice or Puka, but 30 other teams missed those guys too. The Bills landed Shakir who looks amazing. Where Beane has struggled was Samuel. He missed there (so far), and it would have been a good to get someone like Mooney instead, who ultimately was too expensive.
  6. Metcalf would be a big time Chiefs target IMO. He is perfect for their system. id love for the bills to get him - maybe a second round pick from 2019? Oh wait….
  7. I agree - I think most teams making that "splash" receiver move are expecting something they dont actually get - immediate superstar elevating play. When it comes to the Bills - If you can bring in Adams for a 4th I wouldnt be against it as long as it didnt carry long term cap implications. I also wouldn't sit here and expect him to be a 1,000 yard 10 TD guy in the last 12 games of the year...
  8. AJ Brown DHop to Arizona wasn’t terrible i think circumstance matters. A team who is established at other positions but weak at receiver can take a big step with an addition (think AJ brown to Philly). A deal when you don’t have a QB and expect a WR to elevate your team is a bad idea
  9. Top 5 JA Games: 5. 2021 Week 3 - Against the Redskins, we saw the ability of Josh to move outside the pocket and hit throws. Sanders had two touchdowns, and Josh looked like the best QB in the league 4. 2022 Week 2 - Against the Titans. Few things here - 1. Allen hit the deep shot to Diggs which was such a nice throw. His arm was incredible that game, and it was a rout against a team that had two wins against the Bills in the past two years 3. 2020 Week 2 against the Dolphins - The birth of what Allen would be. 415 yards, 4 TDs, deep shots galore, crossers to Diggs, Beasley running like a madman. It was proof that not only could the Bills play defense, but their offense could win games on their own. In my opinion, Josh's best regular season game 2. 2021 Divisional - Chiefs game. Allen was so dialed in that night. I will take it to my grave that if he won the coin toss, we win that game. Allen's throw to Davis after being down 23-14 was my favorite throw of his career. He just sat back, said I'm going to throw this past everyone on the other team, and Davis took it the rest of the way. Such an incredible performance, such a Buffalo end 1. 2021 Wild Card - New England game. Just an amazing performance. I dont believe they had more than 1 or 2 3rd downs that game, let alone a punt. Josh was a machine that game
  10. I live just east of Tampa - going through the brunt of it right now. Still have power, but winds are getting stronger and stronger. No concerns of losing my house, but power (if lost) would be a major inconvenience
  11. Super early… screams owner decision maybe Rodgers not happy and went to him directly?
  12. You can tell Bernard understands reading defenses wayyyy better than Spector. He was able to set up the defense to attack the line frequently. His mind is top notch (I'm sure that's one of the reasons he is a captain)
  13. Early returns on this years class seem to be in line against proper expectations. Coleman - Pacing for 750 yards and 8 TDs as a rookie - not bad Bishop - Hurt early, supposed to a backup but being thrust into a starting role Carter - Looks really solid. Like him a lot and he made plays this week Davis - Average backup RB. Meh pick so far Soloman looks really good. I think he is a homerun pick frankly. So yes, I trust Beane for the draft. In fact, Beane has shown be a top 5-7 drafting GM in the league. A lot of other things to complain about over Beane's draft ability.
  14. Hollins actually got open several times and Allen missed him
  15. We can blame coaching, but Allen missed several throws and his receivers didn’t help
  16. I think Gunnar highlighted that they committed Spector and Williams to attacking downhill no matter what, and it forced Lamar to be the one to make plays instead of Henry
  17. It cracks me up. One minute this is Josh Allen’s MVP year, now it’s “this guy may never run for 15-20 yards again” lol
  18. Points from OP: He seems slower. He’s still elusive in the pocket (barely). He moved away from Marlon Humphrey to escape the pocket last night who is plenty quick. He also has used his legs to get around defenders, especially in weeks 1 and 2 for first downs and touchdowns Is he showing his age already? Bills had the number 1 offense in the league through the first 3 weeks and it wasn't really close. Allen was the most efficient player weeks 1-3 Or didn’t he work out this past summer? Allen mentioned losing 10-15 pounds this offseason and being in great shape leading into camp I know they want him to stay in the pocket, but he’s been sliding 15 yards short of where he used to when faster. Perhaps we’ll never see the 15-20 yard designed runs to the end zone Allen ran for a touchdown Week 1 of this year where he hurdled Budda Baker for the score. there is an opinion, and then there is a fallacy. If OP said "Allen seems to be sliding more, maybe he is protecting his body" that's something I can understand. But Allen "losing a step" and "we may never see a 15-20 yard run" are just insane statements.
  19. Spector of all people caught Lamar escaping the pocket for a sack on Sunday, I think Lamar has lost a step as well... Allen is actively trying to save/heal his body right now. He had his hand injury in Week 1, and the offense prior to the Ravens game was flowing well enough that he didnt NEED to run for 80 yards a game. Allen mentioned in multiple interviews that he has lost 10-15 pounds compared to previous years, and is in a very good physical state. The dude was ROCKED by a massive DT on that trick play and didnt miss a snap. His body (while sore) is still a damn tank. In the 4th quarter, he laterally sprinted away from Marlon Humphrey while he was escaping the pocket. He has plenty of speed still in his legs.
  20. Completely agree. The moment we went heavy with Morrow, Hill abused him. There wasn't a solution with the talent we had on the field. This is where a heavy concept with Williams/Milano/Bernard looks a lot different than Morrow/Spector/Williams. I dont know that we could have held the Ravens below 28 points even executing our gameplan well.
  21. Bills need to bring him in for a workout. Guy kicked for years in Denver, and understands windy/cold conditions.
  22. This game reminds me of the Bucs Chiefs Super Bowl. Chiefs came in with this high flying offense, only to be physically dominated by the Bucs. Coaching played a factor, but the Bucs were hungry and just manhandled the Chiefs. These games happen, Bills need to bounce back next week
  23. Absolutely they will help, and I do think Spector and Williams were beaten often by overpursuing. The Ravens would fake one way and then screen back the other way, and our LBs were completely fooled. A healthy defense would go a long way
  24. You could see McD on the sideline reiterating gap control and continuity when Henry was running wild and the Ravens quick pivot offense was eating us for chunk plays. I think McD caught onto the Ravens relatively early on in the second quarter, but by that point we were already down and a coach can call it out all he wants, he needs halftime to put that in place. Bills came out at half and played much better defence, but then momentum was taken from them via the trick play and we called it halfway through the 4th to save the starters. We were bullied for sure, and the Ravens had a great gameplan. McD needs to preach gap control and continuity as much as possible if they play them again.
