So many posters were so down after worthy had his two touchdowns. Keon did exactly what he needed to for posters for relax a bit. Big time contested catch. 4 catches, good blocking, and drew two holding calls. the potential to be such a complete receiver

Allen will be fine. If he has a bruised hand, itll be wrapped and he will tough it out -
Week 1 - Cardinals at Bills - Post Game Thread

Murray played about as well as he could, and we still won. Not every qb can escape the pressure we put on like Kyler. week 1, lots of roster turnover, gave up a kick return TD… and we won. looking forward to week 2 -

No worries! I’ll try to watch some of his ISO cam if I can -

I mean I’m not trying to be snarky like you. I’m just asking for the evidence you have that says worthy allowed rice to beat LBs in coverage. That’s all -

Do you have video to support that? I'm not saying I dont believe you, I just didnt see it. What I saw was Rice abusing LBs/slot coverage all night. In fact, one play Baltimore actually dropped a safety low, and Mahomes delayed the throw so Rice could get behind. I dont think Worthy was as impactful as you think there. However, if you have video/screenshots, please share! -

He absolutely made a nice play on that reverse, his speed was a huge factor in that touchdown. That receiving TD? Completely blown coverage and he walked in for a touchdown. Worthy has speed and talent, need to see if he can separate in the receiving game. We didn't see it last night but he has a long career to go! -
It's not my job to pull up how frequently it happens to others. In that situation, Lamar made several bad decisions that led to a loss for his team. Lamar - from what I see when I watch him - is a solid passer, who gets stuck on his first read and stares down receivers when facing tough defenses. He also puts his head down to escape the pocket quickly when facing consistent pressure as well. I think he is a top 7-8 QB, but to each their own. Let me add: Lamar is not in the QB tier as Burrow/Allen/Mahomes. Those three are clearly better QBs who I'd want to try to lead my team to the Super Bowl. He falls into that second group, Dak/Lamar/Rodger/Stroud/Herbert. He is probably the guy I take from that group first if given the choice, but Lamar simply struggles against the best competition in ways that Allen/Mahomes/Burrow do not I agree - he absolutely should have clocked it and reset the team.

I'm not trying to diminish Lamar - I'm calling out when he made a series of mistakes in short order in a critical moment. He isn't the only one to blame, but when you tighten your throwing angle and then pump a ball 6 feet to the left of where it should have been to a wide open receiver? Do you want me to not call it out? He made mistakes on that play.

I mentioned this in last night's gameday thread: - Flowers at the point of the throw (BTW, Lamar bailed the pocket here when he didnt need to, forcing a tighter throwing angle and bringing pressure into his face. It may have been because the play design had Hill their RB on CHRIS JONES.....wtf) - Flowers looking back at the pass I'm not trying to be overly harsh here, but Lamar made BAD mistakes here. 1) He bailed the pocket when he didnt need to and put a Chiefs player into his face 2) Assumes his WR who just created separation is going to immediately sit flat on that white line on the left side of the E after coming out of the break at full speed 3) Doesn't give his guy any lead on the throw since there are no Chiefs players within 15 feet of the right side That's bad QB play. I dont care who you are, that's awful. blame Flowers for not sitting on his route, but that's being incredibly generous to the QB making several bad moves in short order. Combine that with a) Overthrowing Bateman forcing the catch in bounds and b) not spiking immediately after... There is a reason some QBs always win close games and some lose them - these are the things you look at as the deciding factors.

Lamar is a top 8 QB in the league. He can turn any play into a home run. When he is on, he makes some absolutely WOW plays happen. However, the guy still makes rookie QB mistakes when he goes up against good competition. He (like most QBs) feasts on bad teams. In the playoffs he has a 2-4 record, a 1:1 TD/Int ratio passing, and a rating of 75. With a 57% completion percentage. He doesn't moved past his first read well enough, and when he does, he then stares down his second or third option. The Ravens are a great team, and that defense played its butt off for Jackson to fumble early on, and then miss throws at the end. The guy is a talent. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem like the guy who can elevate to the largest moments.

NFL 2024 Kickoff: Ravens @ Chiefs, Sept 5 - 8:20pm

Yea, I have no idea why Hill was tasked with Jones. Ravens made several critical mistakes on that drive and were bailed out by Likely and Bateman (until they weren't) -

Lamar missed him by 3 feet at the point of the throw, and six by the actual result. Flowers even slowed down a touch. That's bad from Lamar and should be criticized for that bad of a miss -

I think that’s fair. Flowers didn’t to his QB favors sprinting into the window. with that said, Lamar HAS to make that throw. Has to -

Eh. Flowers doesn’t want to sit too tight to the left side of the window he ran into. I think it’s generous trying to take some of that away from Lamar. That wasn’t a pass that missed flowers by a few inches. He tossed that three feet left of flowers outstretched hand -

“What a night for Lamar” was it Chris? Lamar missed the easy throw to tie the game bud. Maybe not the positive “what a night” you claim it to be -

Bateman has to work harder to draw more contact there. He didn’t finish the route well by fighting through the contact to create more physicality -

Go for two. You bring Henry in to give you the best chance at scoring within the 2. RPO or quick designed play to use his or Lamar’s legs -

I mean, if he is taking jokes about his lanky build as serious enough to comment every time he does something, even when that thing is a complete breakdown by the defense, it’s going to be an annoying season of posts on this board…
