TNF. Jets Texans. Who do we want to win tonight?
Cray51 replied to Billyhouseman's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jets win would probably help the team more when it comes to end of year seeding Texans win makes the Jets failures continue and we get to see another 2-3 days of Jet's being the worst team in the league talk. I'm conflicted - maybe a tie? -
Bills running back receiving game this year
Cray51 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
They love to run a play out of shotgun against man where the RB does a wheel route slowly and the boundary receiver runs a slant. It gives the RB space up the sideline and they've ran it several times with tons of success. I love that wrinkle in this offense. -
I believe he was removed and banned from the stadium

Brady under fire for calling Josh a "spaz" on Sunday's broadcast...
Cray51 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
If the NFL wants to be a global sport (and break into the UK market in a meaningful way) then I understand why he is being critiqued let's say. with that said, using that word in the US has never been taken as offensive in any manner or experience that I've seen or heard. I call my wife a spaz all of the time because she can be incredibly miffed about small things. With that said, it's never in a demeaning way, and in my opinion better than "crazy" or "childish" or "hyper" -
The Bills actually do pretty well defensively against pocket passers. Flacco has no mobility. It will be a collapse the pocket approach.

As much as people may hate Diggs now, I feel bad for the guy who 1) Has always busted his butt to be healthy going into each season 2) Gave 3.5 great years to this organization and 3) Has been generally professional after being dealt. He isn't an Antonio Brown or Aaron Rodgers thats for sure. This is likely a career ender. He doesn't have term after this year, the ACL makes him miss most of next year as well. He will softly fade into the sunset like OBJ post Rams.

Steelers are a long shot for the division, but they need to use this gap to keep pace above the Bengals. If they can go 4-5 down the stretch, they could look at 10-7 and a wild card. Bengals would need to go 7-2, which is a longshot for them at this point...

Keon Coleman 5th In Rookie Receiving Yards
Cray51 replied to iwishitwerecolder's topic in The Stadium Wall
The best thing about this list is his target share compared to his peers. Thomas - 49 Targets Nabers - 60 Targets Harrison Jr. - 50 Targets Coleman - 34 Targets Coleman isn't being force fed the ball like Nabers is. In fact, there is only ONE receiver in the league with less targets but more yards, and that's AJ Brown. Crazy stuff from a rookie- 163 replies

That was DPI. This whole tangled legs stuff makes sense when shadowing a route… but the safety initiated all of the contact with the WR

Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy
Cray51 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Worthy is much closer to a Marquise Brown type of player and ceiling. Brown has struggled with durability and that’s something I worry about for Worthy as well. if you read their draft profiles, they are almost identical -
Bingo - Dexter Lawrence is who I want. Unfortunately costs do not work out, but that guy is the difference maker on our defence.

Allen needs a top 2 AFC Seed, under 5 INTs for the year and over 40 Total TDs. IF he does that, I could see him winning MVP. IMO right now Henry should be the MVP. He opens up so much for that offense, and if he ends the year with 2000 yards and 20 TDs it's an incredible accomplishment. Narrative will push Lamar to b2b MVPs and his 3rd. I dont think that should factor at all, but it 100% will with the media

Cooper. Hopkins is good, but I dont even think he is a true #1 anymore. Cooper is.

So why was Amari Cooper traded twice in his prime?
Cray51 replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cooper is a Decent #1 who gets dealt often because a) team dont tend to invest in those guys and b)If he is your best WR option without a star QB you wont be Super Bowl successful. Oakland had no QB (Carr is incredibly overrated) and Cooper was dealt to Dallas. Then, Dallas used Cooper well, however they had a young Ceedee Lamb ready to bust out, and chose the rookie contract over the WR1 money Cooper would require. Then, back to situation b, the Browns are bad with no QB, and they dealt Cooper to a potential contender. Cooper is a great player - and a really solid piece to add here. I'm excited to see what he can do, and secondly do the Bills try to work out a deal to bring him back if they are successful with him? -
Keon Coleman 5th In Rookie Receiving Yards
Cray51 replied to iwishitwerecolder's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cooper being here will open a lot more for Keon. As he continues to understand NFL leverage in one on one situations, he will only get better. a 1k season with 6-7 TDs would be a great start to his career -
Coleman today showed exactly why this team didn’t draft worthy. Worthy is a good gadget guy and has a chance as a deep threat. Worthy isn’t beating press coverage on that slant and getting out of the first tackle to take it 57 yards. worthy also isn’t making one on one grabs on the endzone edge like Coleman (almost) made
-
He simply isn't good enough to start. Which - by the way - isn't a surprise. NFL safety is a very heady position, and players need time to gather that experience and knowledge to be effective. There aren't any other safeties that were selected around Cole's spot doing any better, so we may just have to accept that this pick needs a year to develop and expect returns later on.
-
Agreed, there was a clear play I believe to Samuel where it was blown up because Coleman didnt react well and (while not a clear out route) missed his block. Off the ball he needs to improve. With that said, out of any of the facets of the WR game I think can be taught, running clear out routes is something I think he will grow in

If Adams would have cost a second or first, I wouldn't have done the deal. We needed the Raiders to eat salary, and the Jets got him for a third with no retention. Desperation move for the Jets. You are 2-4, 3 games back of the division. They are fighting with the Bengals for a playoff spot, but it's a wild card at absolute best. This screams the owner meddling to try to get something out of this year knowing Rodgers is toast soon
-
It was a bad throw, and Rodgers used Williams as a scapegoat. He put enough loft on the ball to float it to the sideline and Williams could run under it. He short threw it 15 yards, forcing Williams to stop on a dime and led to the slip

Should the Bills trust that Tyler Bass will return to form?
Cray51 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sean's answer to a question about Bass was very very clear. Didn't say he trusts him, didnt say he will rebound. His entire answer? "Tyler knows he needs to make those kicks. Tyler knows he needs to make those kicks." -
NFL just set the standard - if your arm moves forward, and even after completely the throwing motion without actually throwing the ball you get hit and lose it, it’s and incompletion. if I’m a QB I’m pumping that arm forward constantly. That way you are gifted an incompletion if you ever do get hit and fumble…

10/14/24 Game 6 Bills at (NJ) Jets MNF Post Game thread
Cray51 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Couple of quick thoughts 1) Allen was dialed in tonight, and he looked more athletic than in prior weeks. Maybe that shoulder and hand are healed up? 2) Rodgers still throws a nice ball, but has ZERO mobility and even less trust in half his receiving core. He likes quick slants out of the slot or a designed screen. That’s it 3) Hail Mary won’t happen again this season, but it’s annoying how it seems to work against us once a year 4) Brady called a really solid game - other than abandoning the run in the third quarter 5) Refs were a joke all night. Terrible game from them 6) Sauce Gardner HATES contact. I’d run a sweep his direction every play if I could, he can’t tackle 7) 4-2 in this division is as close to a lock as you can get. Bills are staring 13-4 in the face
