  1. “It’s amazing what Mahomes can do to win a game” yea, throw 2 picks and really should be 3….
  2. Players aren’t defined after 4 games. 66 catches for 450 yards as a rookie TE while helping the run game and pushes us closer to the Super Bowl is a good thing. Guy has talent in spades, he isn’t a top 4 target most plays. The most impressive thing from him right now, he isn’t dropping targets. laporta is having a good start to his career, let’s see where the players and teams are at by the end of the season
  3. Bills did two things that really killed Miami: 1) started short on offense and grew over the course of the game. First few drives it was take what they give you, couple short third downs, make them stay in the box. Once the game opened up, they leveraged play action and let Allen eat. They didn’t need to run for 200 yards, They just needed to keep Miami honest 2) Blitzed early and forced Miami to be one dimensional. Mcd is a damn genius. He blitzed HEAVY the first few drives of the game. It almost fooled Miami into security through the air. Once the Bills got up by a score or two, he started to switch coverages on Tua, and only rushed 4. Oline gets banged up and tired, and we started to get to Tua with regularity. Really impressive game from Mcd. Should be called the best team in the league by pundits moving forward, we are a train with no looks of stopping
  4. Second half need to do: own time of possession! Limit the drives for Miami, get points on the board no matter what
  5. Tua is a great timing QB. The moment you rattle him a bit, he can’t create. It’s no shock that he is great when 1)he gets the ball out quick and 2) he doesn’t get sacked bills are making it hard for him
  6. Mental warfare. Show Tua that his team has to punt AGAIN because he can’t move the ball downfield
  7. His communication looks to be a vast improvement to Edmunds. He makes Milano and Taron play in sync with him. That allows Bernard to attack more, and we are seeing the benefits. Edmunds was always a bit of a reactionary player, and even in listening to mic'd up sessions with him, I never heard him communicate. A quiet leader, which I dont think allowed the defense to play to the absolute best of their abilities.
  8. See, I think the Jets will have too much pride to tank. They were being called contenders a month ago, to shift from that mentality to tanking is a huge change. my takeaways, there are more teams at the “top” of the league this year. Chiefs, Dolphins, Bills, 49ers, Eagles are all Super Bowl caliber. Then you have another 8-10 “good” teams that can win any given week if it all goes right. Several teams are at “hard decision” points this season. Vikings at 0-3 with some very up and down play. Chargers with some terrible coaching and injuries. Bengals with a lucky win tonight but 1-2 in a physical and competitive division. Saints, raiders, jets, etc. all are teams with no real future. These teams need to figure out what their next 2-3 years look like. Bills continue to look to be at minimum a good team for the next 2-3 years. I’d be shocked if they aren’t a playoff team every year for the next 3.
  9. I gave you my thoughts, you disagreed, I said that was fine, what more do you want right now? Want me to call my cousin in the league and ask him his thoughts or can we simply disagree and move on…
  10. That’s fine, we can disagree. I have some family in the league who have called what Philly specifically does a sham, and they are in the Eagles organization! So I personally agree with them
  11. I don’t like pushing the pile at all frankly. I prefer for the 11 v 11 game to be played against one another. Blockers blocking for a running back means they are looking for and engaging with a defender. It promotes matchups between opponent, the essence of the game. A TE grabbing the shoulder pads of his QB at the point of the snap and pulling him forward isn’t matching up players against the other team, it’s in my opinion a sham of an approach to the game.
  12. The QB sneak by Philly is the stupidest thing ever. It isn’t football. RB pushes from behind, TE literally grabs shoulder pads of Hurts to pull him forward. All 22 players condensed within the hash marks. I hate it. I’d make it a penalty to rugby push your teammate from behind personally
  13. Guy can’t plant! It’s all arm right now, which is why everything is floating. Rush 4 condensed through the center and guards, and drop your backers to cover the middle. Play single safety deep, and for Burrow to move back two extra steps each play, and throw everything to the flats.
  14. I don’t think Burrow can plant and throw hard right now. I’d be throwing EVERYTHING up the middle and force him back/left/right
  15. If he misses this year, they then likely lose Higgins going into next year, and now they are just another team IMO. Stupid to risk him for a game in week 3
  16. Hurts will make a lot of money in this league, but the moment he doesn't have a top 5 Oline is the moment he looks a lot more like a Jared Goff level QB then Allen
  17. I think they take advantage of early holds, and releasing as soon as they have any traction. They hold initially, gain leverage, then let go once they have stopped the initial rush from the defender
  18. I'd give my left leg for Allen to have half the pass protection Hurts gets game in and game out.
  19. Evans still needs to attack the ball and make that catch. That's something Knox or Davis would get shredded on if they didn't catch it
  20. Hurts is a very overrated QB. Not elite in any way as a passer. Has the best OL in the league, and still looks shaky and indecisive in the pocket
  21. Here is what I will say. The team has to execute on the schemes Dorsey is putting in place. He is running a short to long progression for Josh, which from the last two games looks to be pretty effective. Is Josh unloading shots downfield all game? No. But, he is working the flats more and engaging the short field in rythym. What I think is an adjustment for most, Josh isn't moving around as much over the past two games. He is getting a set pocket, standing tall, and delivering short route gains consistently. When Josh moves around, it creates a bit more buzz, and a little more excitement to the offense. That excitement leads some to believe its more effective to play that way. Honestly, the offense I've seen over the past two weeks is completely sufficient for this team to win with. It's not sexy, but it's consistent and effective in both phases. You can tell, the Bills want to run the ball, impose in the trenches, and will unleash Allen as needed. I dont mind it
  22. Some of you all need to go watch average NFL teams. The Bills are a clear top 5 team in league, and their offense is very very good.
  23. Game is going to be tough, as always. The one thing I like for the Bills, they are controlling clock with their run game. Dolphins are on the field off the field quickly on offense. Limit possessions, and control the clock
  24. Incredibly instinctive, and they are using his speed to cover zone holes. We may have gotten something here with him and Milano
  25. The sports reporters was the best panel show in ESPN's tenure. They weren't about BS, they had 4 guys who knew sports come together to thoroughly discuss sports stories without making it a spectacle Miss that show - whatever we watch now is just terrible. And any individual who has a decent mind and wants to be honest gets caught up in the competition of podcasts and has to speak out to stay relevant. Or, they go to a big company and have to play a part to get airtime.
