  1. Diggs plays so hard every time he has the ball or is targeted, I do get concerned for his health towards the end of each season - I hope today was just a case of a great gameplan and a little lack of concentration
  2. I dont want us to gloss over the absolutely incredible play allen made to Murray on the catch and fumble. Just insane to withstand the pressure, and hold the ball until the VERY last chance he could throw it. That was an incredible play
  3. This is what I dont understand. Toney being off isn't lucky - its lack of execution by him. That's poor execution. Luck is a ball being tipped 3 times into a players hands. It's Waddle's catch against us earlier this year. Ref's calling a penalty a penalty isn't luck - its execution. The refs are like the teams, they need to execute when it matters. If you want to say it's lucky for us not get a call on Von on the play after, I can understand that. It's a 50/50 situation where the refs didn't pull the flag. Toney being offiside is an absolute flag, and was called accordingly. In my personal opinion, people are calling us lucky to move away from the realities that this team executed at the end and played a pretty good game all around. Mcd called a good game, and the team executed throughout. It wasn't perfect, but it never is. We did enough to win, that's a reality. The team is absolutely resilient today, winning a game in Arrowhead after having the week of news that they did, dealing with injuries to core positions, and fighting for their playoff lives. That's as resilient as they come.
  4. How are the refs calling an infraction correctly “lucky” man’s resilient is about the entirety of the game, not one play. Also, the defense DID get the stop, because there were three plays after that the Bills shut down. are the bills lucky that Floyd got a hand on Mahomes arm? Or was it proper coaching, playcalling, and execution?
  5. I need help understanding what we define as lucky. I saw a team be resilient, and kept mahomes on his toes. And, I think they did enough to win against a great team. Things to focus on, but it wasn’t pure luck
  6. Yep, I heard he is retiring tomorrow via his brothers Twitter account
  7. I understand being critical, but to say “lucky at the end of the game”. It’s never luck for the other team when they beat us, it’s always our coach costing us something. it wasn’t perfect, but defense and head coach were not problems today.
  8. We beat the chiefs in arrowhead, in a one score game, and make a stop on defense in the final two minutes… and people are spewing the same crap about Mcd. team pulled together after a very tough bye week and won the game.
  9. I’d happily donate a $5 to Toney related charity in honor of the 5 yards he gave us
  10. I think Klein was the vet insurance option if everything else failed. he isn’t needed, and he collected a paycheck to be available if needed
  11. I understand why he approached the article in the way he did. I’m not preaching about Sean, and he has valid criticism. But Dunne uses terms and descriptors to point the reader towards a negative association of Sean. He does a good job being thorough, and he isn’t a hack. But it’s not boring to a point, it’s sensationalized in its descriptors in an effort to carry the reader through an article. its JJ Reddick without the player perspective. i guess I just don’t have a lot of care for this type of journalism. I don’t care if Sean is an ass, as long as the results show. And really, nobody cares about Chad Hall or former players opinions or the 9/11 comments if the team is winning. So when we have 70 pages of people talking about it, I guess I just don’t care for it. It doesn’t really matter. So the timing, coming off of a bye, leading to the most important game of the season, I find annoying because it takes the team away from the focus they need… winning the game. im probably old man on this, but I now know this will become a discussion point of the Bills, and if they lose anyone can point to this as a reason, and now we open the door to this being a major part of this teams brand moving forward
  12. I thought it was clear Sean was not a fan of how Daboll criticized players openly, which Daboll has had an issue with in New York as well.
  13. I don’t think Dunne has an ax to grind, I think he has bills to pay. He knows these types of “hit piece” articles draw interest and pull in subscribers. No one reads an article about how many former players like Sean. Even if he acknowledges there may be some, he can find a few that don’t and make that the large part of the thesis of his writing. its not personal against Sean, it’s using him as a way to pay bills and build his career. which is why I agree with Micah, it’s a low blow. But I see why he did it.
  14. That's fair, put the trust in people who can identify potential candidates that fit what we are looking for. To be fair, Flores had never shown the top end result McD has. And to add, McDaniel wasn't unheard of, just very unproven. We talk a lot about Ben Johnson, but his offense has shown to have some stinkers against top end competition. And to be fair to McD, for MOST of his tenure, he has beaten up on teams who are bad/average, and only has lost to the best of the best. Heck, even McDaniel's Miami team has been criticized with not being good against great teams. They remind me a lot of the 2019 Bills, who were good but found themselves losing to the best teams in the league. I trust Beane to evaluate talent. I dont necessarily trust Pegula, but I can understand people wanting a change. This article doesn't do anything to sway me to a new coach, I'm in the mindset that if Sean doesn't make the playoffs, we will likely move on and bring in a new coach. But that's to performance and ONLY performance. These anecdotal stories from several years doesn't really give me any pause in who Sean is. He is what most HCs are, methodical to a fault, and self-confident to a fault. If the Bills fire Sean, and bring in an OC, I'll be just as excited as if we keep Sean and roll into next year. I don't think that's the case for most on the board, who will be more excited with a new HC than Sean.
  15. I agree with taking advantage if there is the opportunity to improve the coaching position. I just struggle to identify all of the true options that are confirmed upgrades compared to Sean I agree that Beane is likely a good evaluator of coaching talent, and could find a good replacement. However, it just isn't 100% a guarantee. However, I am a risk-averse individual so that bias comes out in these instances
  16. I agree there is valid criticism for Sean in certain components of his coaching. I think he has not handled quick twitch decision making well, which may be the thing we need to be able to grow as a team. I just struggle to see where we find any potential replacement that doesn't carry large risk associated. Unless you get someone like Bill B, who I think would bring some serious talent on the D side, but carries heavy baggage as well.
  17. I think it’s a valid point that if there are droves of former coaches coming forward, Sean is against the norm. but former coaches have had situations with Bill Bellicheck, with McDaniels, we’ve seen players get into it with Carroll most coaches don’t get 6 years on one team to build that level of tenure and possibility of frustration
  18. And I think this is the fairest assessment. Sean isn’t a dummy, he has laid the strongest foundation the Bills have had in 30 years. He just might not be the right guy to take us to the absolute peak but no one here really cares about his comments from 2019, or his firing of Chad Hall. They care that the team is 6-6 im not a Sean apologist, if we brought in another coach who I think is qualified and a good fit, I’m excited. But I’m not going to sit here and say Sean is a dumb guy who deserves no respect for what he has achieved
  19. Bills were 9-7 without Allen in Sean’s first year…. You call in miracle birth, I call it maximizing what he could from a terrible roster You’re right, let’s bring Bill B in here, win super bowls, and then we can just ignore that he is a bigger control freak than Sean or bring in Harbaugh, who just was suspended for cheating or bring in a guy from the Shanahan tree, who is known as one of the biggest asses in the league they are all saints.
  20. Ive mentioned this before, but I have a family member who works for the Eagles organization. Nick Sirianni is a grade A douche. Poor behavior towards assistants, throws coaches under the bus to the team, throws players under the bus, contradicts himself. But that doesn’t matter because his team is winning. The public doesn’t care that Nick is an ass to his coaches room, or is an ego driven narcissist, because his team is doing well. Most head coaches in the NFL are #######s. But success breeds ignorance to that. These stories from 2019,2020… they don’t come up until we are 6-6. No one cares about the Chad hall stuff if we are 9-3. thats why I chuckle at “we need to get rid of Sean now and replace him”. Replace with who? Bill B? The biggest control freak in NFL history? An unproven OC? We really want that risk during Allen’s prime years? A retread head coach? I don’t care if Sean is a control freak, that tells me he is a normal head coach lol. He was dumb for the 2019 comments, and im sure some players didn’t like him. But the guy has finally brought some winning to Buffalo, and now we want to tear him down. It’s funny to me I think you’re right if the insiders in the org new about it.
  21. If Bill B wanted to come to Buffalo, I wouldn’t hesitate at all with that move. Even with the questionable history of Bill laying a very specific foundation and culture for his team. There have been several players who have not liked Bill as a coach
  22. We can add in grade a douche Doug Marrone if you want
  23. I’m wondering if people would rather have players coach Rex Ryan taking us to 7-9 each year or control freak Sean Mcd with his 5 playoffs in 6 years. I know who I’d want
  24. Came to him after the loss to do what, release the article? Dunne can’t have 25 interviews over the course of a week during the season to put together a 3 part article
