This team was 3-1 and demolished their last 3 opponents before the injuries. They were the top defense in the league and had the second highest scoring offense. But don’t let facts get in the way of narratives

Bills held players only meeting this week (For real this time)
Cray51 replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good week to do it leading up to a below average opponent. Beat up on the Broncos and ride momentum into the rest of the season -
To me Cincy is not in the top tier. I still think they are not in that tier with Baltimore/KC/Philly/SF. Those four teams to me are a clear step above the rest of the league. Yes, SF has lost a few games, but when they are healthy they are very very good. I think the Seahawks are overrated, they are a good but not great team. Dont see them anywhere near a super bowl contender. Jets/Browns/Pit are AFC teams who are punching above their weight right now. They aren't playoff teams IMO. If I were to pick the playoff teams for each conference: AFC: KC Baltimore Jags Dolphins Cincy Bills Chargers NFC: Eagles 49ers Lions Saints Cowboys Seahawks Vikings? At the end of the day, I really only give 3-4 teams a real shot at the Superbowl. KC Baltimore Eagles 49ers Maybe Cincy or Buffalo IF their teams are firing and healthy. But I dont really think they will get there.

He is avoiding unnecessary contact. I still think his shoulder is hurt MORE than he is letting on. I also think the offense is designed to try to limit him on the ground, by giving him checkdowns or keeping the RB in to pass protect more. Regardless, we know in the past he has been successful with his legs. I'm sure we will see it come to life in games when needed
-
Regarding Allen not hitting intermediate/deep throws, I really wonder if his shoulder is limited his ability to put touch on the ball right now. You can almost see a change in how he is trying to get the ball out when his is changing arm angle to loft a pass over. It's why I think this INT Saturday night was an underthrow.

Yea I absolutely agree. We honestly should have executed better, but I dont really put it on Dorsey. I think that's on Allen for making the wrong read and then giving credit to the defense of the Bucs who did well on 4th
-
What was the lost payout??
-
I've mentioned it 5-7 times across several threads over the last 12 hours, the 3rd down RPO would have a better outcome if Allen didnt give the ball to Murray. Allen had one on one with the corner if he takes the ball. And the 4th down play was a great switch-off from LB to Corner. It wasn't my favorite play, but the defense did incredibly well there. Dorsey wasn't perfect, but he was damn good in scheming a game we all wanted. Everyone said before the game "get tempo, no huddle, spread the ball around, use Kincaid more, use Allen's legs" And ALL of that was achieved. Like, every single one. Did we play conservative on 4th and short? Yes. Did we not execute at the goal line? Yes. But my god, people want to switch their narratives every week on what's acceptable from this team. Allen had 365 all purpose yards, Cook ran for 4.8 a carry. Davis/Shakir/Diggs/Kincaid all had good games.
-
Kincaid has very good hands and strong footwork. Id like him to add 7-10 pounds to be able to bang around more at the line, whether in blocking or fighting for extra yardage. The best thing from yesterday was watching him break away from his route on his TD and run parallel with Josh to give him an option. Josh hit him in stride, and Kincaid could walk into the endzone. The more he learn to do that, and the more Josh trust him, the better he will produce. Really like what he can become.
-
I don't disagree with preferring Cook. Just acknowledging some of the components that led to the result.
-
That was a design RPO, and if you watch the play, Allen had one on one with a corner at the edge if he took it himself. Instead he gave to Murray, who was stuffed. I dont hate the design, I hate the execution. And to add, Harris gets that carry if he isn't hurt. Murray was the 3rd down and pass pro option. Harris was always the short yardage guy
-
Personally, I look at 5 or 6 things before that 3rd and short on the goal line as the reason why this game was close at the end. Dorsey wasn't perfect, but he was good in my opinion. Also - on that shotgun play, Allen has a much better chance to score if he keeps the ball there. He had one on one at the edge with a Bucs safety. I think Allen made the wrong move there giving it to Murray
-
It's hard for me not to give the game ball to the OC who gameplanned up Shakir to have 90+ years, David for 87 and a TD, Diggs 9 catches, Kincaid 65 and a TD, and Allen 365 total yards 3 tds. If 5-6 players are showing well on the offense, Dorsey is a reason for that. He wasn't perfect, but he was really good tonight
-
Yea, I think Allen not using his legs is an obvious issue right now. I get it, they want to save him for the end of the year. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Allen has been nicked up at the end of the past two seasons, and the Front Office just isn't saying anything. We need to let Allen read and react at the goal line, or put his head down and move the pile forward on a QB sneak.
-
Phillips is only playing because of the injury to Daquan Jones. His snap counts earlier in the year were half of what they are now
-
Dorsey gets a game ball for his playcalling
-
Feel free to list them out, and I can list out the good plays, and then you can help determine what % of good to bad plays constitutes a good week for Dorsey. Happy to dive into it if you want to put in any effort
-
Ah, yes. Talking with a child. The Bills won the game. Let me know when you want to admit that…. Want to criticize not going for it on 4th? Sure. But the Bills won the game and we move forward.
-
Shotgun from the goal line wasn’t my favorite, 4th down to Kincaid was a good play call, Bucs did a great job managing coverages. Diggs out play was flipped for Davis, and was great throughout. McD makes the decisions on 4th and short, being conservative can be a valid criticism tonight.
-
One play doesn’t overshadow 59 other minutes
-
I see we are continuing away from facts and instead proving opinions. If we are trying to force opinions as fact, prove to me McD doesn’t go for it on 4th and short up 14 against the Chiefs in a playoff game? Because his past has shown he would. He sat back because he didn’t respect Mayfield. It worked in the end, it just made the game closer than most wanted
-
Defense gave up key plays instead of closing out, that’s on the defense. I would’ve gone for it on 4th and inches, but jeez the defense needs to close drives out
-
They brought pace and quick outlets for Allen
-
Dorsey called an incredibly good game today. Like very very good.
-
How can we prove an opinion wrong? Factually, we won the game. We played conservatively in the 4th because we didn’t respect that team on the other side. Bills won. Against the chiefs, we go for it on 4th down no questions asked
