  1. I really do not like Ref John Hussey. I've seen multiple times last year when he let emotions take over. As a ref, you can't do that. He wasn't bad last night, other than his crew being whistle-less.
  2. If I can narrow it to just the Jets game, I want to see an Aaron Rodgers Butt Fumble.
  3. I thought it was this guy.....
  4. One rule I didn't see addressed in this article (I didn't read it thoroughly as I've seen these before) is the "Instant Replay Reversal" rule. "New for 2023, when an instant replay decision results in a reversal under 2:00, the play clock will be reset to :40 instead of :25; unless another rule requires otherwise, such as when there is also a :10 runoff, in which case the play clock will be reset to :30. Additionally, inside 2:00, reversing from a ruling with a stopped clock to one with a running clock requires either a :10 second runoff or a charged team timeout." That last part is interesting. I don't know a scenario where it would happen that a team trying to score gets reversal in their favor that requires a 10 second runoff and could potentially make it worse. Like if they only have, say 15 seconds and no timeouts, they'd go from having maybe 3 shots to score, down to 1.
  5. The Lions can definitely put up some points. At least last year they did. Problem is, they could put up 40 and lose by 7. Even if their D is better, they'll still need some breaks and a turnover or 2.
  6. I think it's a scam. That's a terribly long time to be on a boat. Once you get on..........
  7. For me it's simply that he looks like someone that's forbidden from going to within 100 yards of any school.
  8. If Diggs and Sauce are both mic'd up like the preview says, should be some spicey audio. I probably won't watch any National pre-game stuff as my gag reflex is already in overdrive from all the Rodgers crap.
  9. Referring to the football as "the rock" has gotten so old and cliche to me.
  10. It's a shame he didn't go to the hospital the night of the party. They may have been able to prevent, or at least diminish the severity of the stroke effects. Hope his therapy and rehab go well.
  11. When it comes to football teams in Cali, it's a shell game. Kinda like wife swapping. All but San Fran, of course.
  12. Agreed. When things start going badly, they don't get corrected easily, or at all. It seems like when things start sliding, they just keep on sliding and all of the players and coaches look lost.
  13. "I completely agree with you, however......" You can't agree with me and change it. And not necessarily a phrase, but when a flight attendant gets on the intercom and says, "......we have a very full flight today..." So it's not just full, it's very full. OMG, is there somebody sitting on someone's lap? Is everyone over 200 lbs?
  14. I think that was more than just a fart. I think there was a little moisture in there. They were all a little messy in the shorts after that one.
  15. Wow. If they have trouble streaming just 3 preseason games, how the heck are they gonna handle 1pm regular season games? Or am I missing something here?
  16. I love [Vague Title] threads because you never know what you're gonna get. This one's disappointing because I already clicked on it.
  17. With the extra week off between preseason and regular season due to the new cutdown rules, teams want to get starters a handful for reps.
  18. I won't be there. So I hope everyone drinks a beer for me. And I promise to drink a beer for each, and every one of you.
  19. On the 29th Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport's phones will melt from all the "signing" tweets. The competition will be fierce.
  20. One man's trash is another man's treasure.
  21. "Next guy that jumps offside gets cut!" Sorry, not a series answer.
  22. To a certain degree, a "reflection of the self." I think to a larger degree it's a manifestation of history. From the futility of the 70s and 80s (with a couple of sparks in there), to the SB years of the 90s, dwindling into the drought. For all the folks that have lived through all that sh...shtuff, they know how fleeting these opportunities can be. And in the grand scheme, 8-10 years is somewhat fleeting. Yes, we have a franchise QB and stop staff that could continue for several years. But we've sensed it is our time for the past couple of years, and sh...shtuff keeps happening. Frustration is a real thing.
