Should be somewhere around 240, but that over throw cost him. He's off to a really nice start this year.

A Few Thoughts about the Giants game, in no particular order
DCofNC replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His entire college career was blocking, he also happens to be fast and has potential to be a pass catcher, hence he was a lower pick. He's really good at blocking and missed a perfect throw, so which is he really? -
How can anybody give that an A? Maholmes put up better numbers by half time. THAT'S what an A looks like. I have it somewhere around a B minus. His innacuracy on a handful of throws cost points. His ability to step up and make some great throws was alos hard to miss. The execution in the second half played a big part in the slowing down, missed opportunities killed drives more than conservative play calls. I do want to see them come out with a killer mentality and absolutely pour it on a team, theres no prize for being nice, go build confidence and WIN a game, instead of being happy the other team didn't.

He's still pretty inconsistent, which one would hope he can clean up. That ball to Smoke was just awful. The McKenzie catch was more than a lot high, and the missed ball to Zay would have been a big play. He's threading some needles and missing water falling out of a boat in the same series at times, I don't know what to think of it. The accuracy thing will follow him until he does what La?ma?... sorry threw up in my mouth twice.. until he can do what Lamar Jackson is doing. Jackson is hitting wide open guys as they jog into the endzone. I wouldn't trade QBs, but thats what is inflating Jackson's stats. Its the simple things that hes doing and Josh still seems to miss all too often.

Love our OL .. Electric Company Reincarnated?
DCofNC replied to WideRightRevenge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This line is VASTLY better than last year, but still is struggling quite a bit. Morse has had some penalties, I'll credit more to just getting going in the season.. Dawkins, Ford, Nseke have struggled quite a bit. Spain has been solid Feliciano has been a REALLY great signing. The tackles worry me. They aren't turnstiles like we have seen in captain wind Mills, but certainly not playing to the level they need to in pass pro. -
If Singletary is hurt... trade for Gordon
DCofNC replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeldon and Gore are similar in terms of running style, I think they'd bring back Perry possibly to be a DS stop gap. Gordon is not worth a high pick and 14M a year.. hes good, but i honestly dont think he is great. -
Miami reportedly ready to pull plug on Fitz
DCofNC replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tom Brady in his prime couldn't win with that team. The quicker Fitz gets out the better. -
To recap what I have seen here as a lot of valid points: He's been hit A LOT in a relatively short career, but 8 years of beatings are no joke. He was never labled an elite passer, good at best. He doesn't appear to have his legs under him right now. If they are done, so is he. If hes just getting back in shape because he missed a ton of time with the shoulder, he may be fine. The shoulder... we aren't doctors, but is he full strength? For me it comes down to seeing if he can get his legs back under him, if he can, he'll be ok. If not, he is done. How long it takes the Panthers to admit it/ be able to do anything about it are the real questions. Rosen might be available ?

Woof.. great point. I have to think there will be a HUGE pressure from the NFL to tell them to get it together, this is embarrassing. If they have the balls to tread it, maybe it doesn't matter. If they could pull another high first and second this year, plus a 1st and chenge from next year to trade out, they would have SO much ammo, but then again, they could go a Raiders and not net anything with it.. risky business.
-
A 2nd is about fair vs his former draft status, look what Rosen brought back. That said, he looks to be an inside corner, not really the outside guy the Bills could use. I wouldn't trade a 2nd for that position. If they see a guy that can play outside or slide to FS, then yeah thats fine. If theres one think I know, McDermott has forgotten more about DBs than I'll ever know, so that's all him. Its a great value IF he's the player you want/need and you can pull him for a second. That's 4 years of high end play at mid tier money for a 2nd round pick. I could see a contender being willing to fork over a first if they see a difference maker, a low first round pick for a high end contributor makes sense, but again, thats not the player I see him being.

Giants writer has great analysis of Allen first game
DCofNC replied to NakedSquid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What I didn't realize is Zay had his guy really beaten, the throw made him stop. Very different from what it appeared in live action. Good point as well, that's exciting to see. Also great recognition as he looked to plug on gap and saw his lineman was going to be there, let it go before engagement to be ready for the next guy. I can see why they thought so much of him. Obviously, this is just one play, but good stuff! -
What Giants fans are saying about our Buffalo Bills
DCofNC replied to Wayne Arnold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eli could Shred this secondary, he was dropping dimes against Dallas and NO Im not kidding. He was playing well, that O is going to be solid this year. The D, this far a joke. Depends on which Bills team gets on the bus. -
I remember a year starting off 5-1 with all the wins over joke teams and barely scraping by.. Trent Edwards was the bext Joe Montana and the Bills were a sexy team in the Power Rankings.. then reality hit.

Sean McDermott won't tip hand on Bills' RB situation
DCofNC replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All I know is Singletary needs more touches. He took a ton of snaps, barely touched the ball and accounted for almost 100 yards. Daboll needs to adjust something there. -
Josh Allen's Adjusted stats for week 1
DCofNC replied to wiley16350's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The reason the run game popped was not having Gore run into the back of his linemen. Singletary came in and bounced to gaps, which I have to believe were not the schemed ones based on the arm which he was carrying it in. -
Ty Neskhe’s Untold Story: From Behind Bars to the Bills

Thats a great story, I had no idea where he came from. Good on him. -
Rookies you wanted to draft update...
DCofNC replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was all about Hock and pissed Detroit took him, was not and still am not sold on Oliver. What I really wasn't expecting is for them to let so many WRs go by, then Singletary, seemingly out of left field. That made zero sense to me, I think Beane was done with Shady and just never said it, signing Gore, Yeldon and then spending a pick on Singletary screamed it. I was high on Hollywood and had some fasination with Hakeem Butler / Harry, so far Hollywood started with a bang, tough to say how it will all play out in the end though. Not surprised to see Fant struggling early, he never blocked, the NFL requires it. I was high on Knox, really glad we nabbed him, hope he can live upto his physical abilities, he could be an absolute steal. -
Will Patriots release Antonio Brown?
DCofNC replied to BrycePaup4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
According to reports later, I'm not sure that is a accurate. The way it was exllained is he got a 1 Million guarantee at signing and weekly roster bonuses that total 9 million in guaranteed money as long as he is on the roster. With extra bonuses on top for performance that could take it to 15M. Theres a HUGE difference between what was originally reported, as Sportrac has it a d the later explaination of it. Being that he's a known trouble maker, I find it hard to believe BB wouldn't structure the contract accordingly. If he didn't, awesome, but i have my doubts. -
Will Patriots release Antonio Brown?
DCofNC replied to BrycePaup4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The thing is, it's not better for the player. This is similar to a franchise tag, except if the team activates it, the player cannot refuse to sign it and try to force a long term deal. They are under contract, period. They now have no leverage to negotiate a long term deal for more money at all, there is nobody to bid against the team that owns their rights, no possibility of movement. No player looking for a real "prove it" deal is going to give up their rights to free agency and let the team control their future, its a horrible deal for them. Players are after guaranteed money, the more, the better. Getting stuck to a one year deal is not in their best interests. This is exactly why players hate the franchise tag, they get stuck with one year of guarantees and absolutely nothing beyond that. If they get hurt, the team decides their too old, etc. They are out on their ass with nothing. In a long term deal, you get paid money upfront in exchange for giving up your rights to movement. In exchange for the upfront portion, the team has you locked down to the deal at the current market value until the end of the contract, usually both sides feel pretty good about it. The team is the only one who wins in a one year deal, their risk is minimized and they get all the benefit, even moreso with a team option, if they want out, boom its over, if they want the player they have the power to keep them at a minimum risk again, player takes all the risk. Its stupid for a player to agree to it, which makes Brown taking less than shocking, but his agent must have pulled the wool over his eyes in an attempt to get paid himself.
