I watched the entire Fish vs. NE game on Sunday. Crowd noise cheering for New England when they did good things was loud and clear. It sounded like 1/3 or more of the stadium were cheering for the Patriots. Then you had thousands of empty seats littered all over the stadium. On opening day at home. It's kind of sad, but there are a million things to do in Miami NOT involving watching men play football.

I don't mind Levy calling hockey; Riddick is beyond terrible and this pair has no business in a football broadcast booth. Good GOD, the current batch of NFL announcers out there, are, by and large, terrible.

Matt Araiza accused of rape, served with a lawsuit.

Only 297 pages huh? Nothing like a little gang rape to get the lurkers off the couch and into the conversation. If only we could get this sort of participation discussing football. -
Why I hate Bills playing Thursday Night.....
Nextmanup replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
The prime time game slots are part of the package when you are an elite, championship contending team. How many of these has New England played in the last 20 years? I'll gladly take this over lots of 1pm on Sunday game starts, but being an irrelevant mediocrity. -
Commenting on Josh's post-hit laughing: "That is the kind of absolute ax murderer stuff we like in this segment." "We all know Josh Allen is a big old cantaloupe farmer." LOL

Too early to have a serious, detailed discussion about weather on Monday night. In four days or so we'll have a pretty solid idea of what to expect.

For real in this context means no longer a joke and a 9 or 10 win team. We'll see if I'm wrong.

Fish fans don’t even know how to tailgate right
Nextmanup replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
...not this year. -
I was hoping for and expecting a drop-off in KC, but we didn't get it. They look as dangerous as ever. Miami is for real and will be our toughest division competition this year. NE looks lost; you can literally SEE the physical/athletic limitations to Mac Jones' game when you watch him play. I still think our toughest test is KC. Of course.

Dak out 6 to 8 weeks now what for the cowboys
Nextmanup replied to oldschoolfootball1963's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dallas looked lame last night and 5 weeks without your starting QB is more than enough to kill your season. I don't imagine Dallas will do anything this year, which suits me just fine! Maybe they won't be on TV every freaking week now. -
Kurt Warner breakdown of Josh’s performance.

I'm only 5 minutes in and had to pause to say "thanks" to the OP. I can watch this stuff all day long. ...back to the video! -
KC and the Titans scare me still. Miami does NOT scare me, though they looked much improved and Hill added a huge impact to the team. Miami is WAY better than this board thought they were in the Miami vs. NE game thread...where the Fish got no respect. They look like a 9/10 win team to me. I still say we beat them twice, without TOO much trouble.

I find this stuff interesting too. But 700 pairs of receiver gloves? I get that you want multiple backups of everything for everyone on the team, but 700??? I imagine that's what they'll need (and then some) for the entire season, and they just cart the whole lot of them around with them from game to game, so it's kind of impossible to find yourself short. But I don't know! I remember back in the day Bruce Smith (and everyone else in the league) doing that same sort of thing, so OLmen couldn't get a grip on his jersey--and then he adopted the extra trick of spraying everything down with WD-40 so it was impossible to get a grip! I believe that was outlawed at some point.

These guys (the Watt bros.) seem fragile, and I would guess it's because they are juicing like crazy and are "puffed up" beyond their natural size and strength level. They're like an F1 car that is so tweaked and hot-rodded, so close to the edge of breaking with regard to every component, that one problem comes along and BOOM....you have a failure. Compare both those guys to a guy like Reggie White, who was just a natural horse and had "honest" size and strength without the need for juicing and much greater reliability as a result.

Oops!

We don't play on the team; we can talk about any game we want with zero risk.

4 QBs in Bills history with a playoff win? That's appallingly bad, when you've been around this long.
-
Man, it's going to be a long wait. It's the price we pay for getting them so quickly at the start, I guess.

Stats that reveal how dominant we were against the Rams
Nextmanup replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
You look at that stat about no punts in 4 of the last 6 games, and Josh Allen's performance in his last 3 games going back to the playoffs, where he was off-the charts, lights-out good, and you wonder... Have we relatively recently, going back to the end of last year, climbed to a new, higher level than before? Josh had some down games last year, especially earlier in the season, but it's like he has elevated beyond that now and you can almost expect brilliance. It will be interesting to see if we can maintain this level of play all year long. It just feels like we have climbed to a new level. -
Bingo! You point out the flaw in the OP's thinking, though poor quality is a factor in some of the cases. Certainly not all though.

Stephen A. Smith Makes Impossible Prediction...Literally
Nextmanup replied to Nextmanup's topic in Off the Wall
Yeah he yells out words, so does Michael Irvin and all sorts of these sports talking meatheads. I just thought this was hilarious. I also love how the hot chick talking head is not bright enough to realize her second question was already answered by his first answer, so need to ask it. -

Is this the greatest day ever do be a Bills fan?
Nextmanup replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's the No. 1 game/Bills moment for me as well.
