  1. I didn't evaluate Josh prior to the draft, or have a long personal interview with him. But, from what I can tell as a fan, he's a smart kid with a great sense of humor and for an elite pro athlete, he seems really smart. How did that story get started that "He can't be coached." That is usually code in sports for "this guy is a complete moron; he literally cannot learn." From what I can see of Josh, I would think he would be extremely coachable and likely be able to handle the mental side of quarterbacking very well. And he does! Not sure why this is a surprise. Now, the accuracy thing is a surprise; he totally reinvented himself there, perhaps more than any other player in NFL history...
  2. I disagree with this "he's going to get hurt" thing from fans. Why? He's 6'6 and 240 lbs... and can take linebackers for a ride. Why aren't you worried about Matt Milano getting hurt with all the running and thumping he does? Josh is a LOT bigger! Sure, there's a risk of injury every time Josh runs around, but I don't think it's close to what fans think it is. I do support him NOT RUNNING at all against bad teams or when the score is run up. We need all we have against the big boys, though, and Josh running is the most dangerous thing we do. I've been saying that for 3 years now and it's still true.
  3. Like I said, I think it was probably fineable, but I personally have no problem with it. Beat him on the field, beat him on the scoreboard, and just plain beat him up! These guys aren't playing chess, you know.
  4. I wanted to listen to Murphy and Eric Wood call the game, but was disappointed to find the national show broadcast at the WGR-550 website once the game started. I assume that's just legal rights stuff---NBC has the national rights and the WGR broadcast can't broadcast nationally, during the game. The moment the game ended, I "listened live" at the WGR 550 website, and sure enough, the GR55 broadcast was back, with Eric Wood and Murph giving their final comments on the game. They then went to the postgame show and that was on for a long time with no interruption. No, it wasn't Schopp and Bulldog--they never do post game shows (as far as I know) after these prime time late night games. At least that's how I remember it. They did a long stint yesterday from 3:00-7:30pm leading up to the game.
  5. I've watched the Josh humping Jalen video a lot now. I think he has Ramsey's left arm pinned under Josh's right knee/lower leg, and he's like rubbing his knee across Ramey's arm to sort of grind it into the ground. He repeats this knee grind motion over and over and with each stroke, it brings his crotch area down onto Ramsey, by default. So it looks like he's humping him, per se, but he's really grinding some part of Ramsey's body into the turf under the weight of his right leg. That's my take on it. I would say it definitely looked malicious and something that could and maybe should be fined. I also ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PHYSICAL INTIMIDATION. Keep it going Josh!
  6. I'm not a Tirico fan, never have been going back to his MNF days. I find him almost overly smooth and polished, and kind of boring. I really missed Al Michaels last night. Having said that, that's a great line you reference!
  7. My favorite CC quote: "If you take away those 3 turnovers that LA got in the first half, this thing could have REALY BEEN UGLY." He praised the Bills all night long.
  8. I tracked the flight and it says it arrived late at 6:19am, about 15 minutes ago. Anyone out there?
  9. ...other than that, he had a hell of a game.
  10. This may well have been a 50 point game for us without those turnovers.
  11. And it's something that CAN be cleaned up, too. What if our DL was terrible tonight with zero pass rush? How are you going to improve that next week? That's an offseason project.
  12. The Bills tonight are not what the Bills were last season, and maybe the Rams aren't either. So it's hard to say that. Look at our revamped D line and the impact it has had tonight, for example.
  13. "You take away those three turnovers that the Rams got in the first half, and this thing could have been really ugly." -Cris Collinsworth
  14. I absolutely want more points; there's still 9 minutes left!
  15. At 31-10, the score now accurately reflects the gap between these two teams tonight.
  16. Bills 16 for 18 on 3rd downs tonight... And now 17 for 19 HOLY *****!
  17. Knox has been quiet tonight; I'd like to see him get more involved.
