  1. Rogue One may be the best all around Star Wars movie of them all! But by and large, Disney has ruined the franchise with cheesy crap. Having said that, George Lucas liked cheesy crap too, that should be remembered. Didn't know a new movie was coming; I'll check that one out.
  2. Where are the "the second opinion is a positive development" folks now? Now are you starting to get it? Jesus Christ.
  3. I can't believe the online BS people participate in these days. It's a time consuming poison that serves no constructive purpose. It should be avoided.
  4. The OP's model (which admittedly is not based in reality but it just a guess) says that we would score 2 points 60 % of the time. If that were the case, long term, we would get MORE points going for 2 than 1. Also, there is no "risk" in that situation and there most certainly IS a reward--getting more points (with a 60% success rate). To the OP: I would LOVE for us to aggressively go for 2 points, every time we score. The question is what would our conversion rate really be in reality. Below are REAL numbers taken across all teams in the NFL, for nearly 1,000 plays. The thing is, the success rate of the BILLS might very well be ahead of the league average. I would sweep josh with the ball and give him a few receiver options in the end zone. If the pass is there, throw. If he can just run it in, run it in. Josh is nearly unstoppable on that play. Asking McDermott to do this is like asking your dog to sing. Probably won't happen. Play/ Success Rate / Attempts Pass/ 43.4% / 739 Run/ 61.7% / 258 Overall/ 48.2% / 997
  5. Please define "fine."
  6. I haven't made a grilled cheese sandwich in decades, but, as a food snob, if I did, I would use really high quality, hand cut, thick slices of a good French bread or something similar to that, and throw some butter on them. Then drizzle a bit of EVOO into the pan and get the bread browning...then use a good cheese (whatever you like) and for God's sake, not some f-ing pre-fabricated slice that comes in plastic. If the label says "American" you picked the wrong cheese. Gouda or asiago can work well here, but so can lots of cheeses. Any mayonnaise you buy in a jar is generally not fit to be eaten by humans. You have to make it yourself if you are going to go that route.
  7. They are also ignoring Hill and Waddle, who, as a pair, are outstanding. They are both in Diggs' class. Waddle is a superstar in the making. Hill is as dangerous an offensive player as there is in this league. We should still have the advantage, but there seem to be a LOT of people here who haven't figured out that it's not the same old joke of a Dolphins team down in Miami this year. People seem to forget that teams can get much better--and much worse--in the span of 1 offseason.
  8. Anchoring your new NFL regime around a guy like Leslie Frazier would make no sense at all. Therefore, expect him to be hired as HC by either the Browns or Jets. 😂
  9. Don't worry about Marshall! As I have reported in other threads, McDermott has been in touch with me and I'm going in on Sunday for all dime packages. As always, I am ready to go!
  10. The article I linked to said 300 level seats for this Sunday's game (in Miami of all places where you usually have 15,000 empty seats) are going for "low $200 range". I'm about 1.5 hours north of that stadium, but $450 (?) for 2 seats plus gas plus parking plus beer plus food....and with a German partner who doesn't know the first thing about football and she would probably just be bored.... Yeah, forget it. I am always impressed with the people here who spend THOUSANDS to see a game on the road including hotel and air fare, etc. If that's what gets your rocks off, keep doing it! You gotta enjoy life one way or the other. I'll be watching in my living room!
  11. I'm going to say Kaiir Elam, in a good way. If you hear our young DBs names a lot in this game, and it's not for bad reasons, we will have a great game.
  12. The halftime show is always my chance to hit the head, maybe grab a beer, or get some food. I always feel like I won't be missing anything so it's a good time to go do stuff. I can't remember the last halftime show I actually watched. It was probably The Who, and my God, was Pete Townshend terrible in that thing.... As I recall, he was playing a red Strat with white pickguard.
  13. His injury may well turn into a big deal with him being out for a long time. That's pure speculation, but that's the vibe I get.
  14. You might want to reconsider your sexuality, assuming you're male. It's OK to be gay.
  15. I guess you are talking about Tropical Depression 9. It could become a problem for Florida; Florida got added to the cone of probability, but that is way too far away to be a concern, at least for me. I live in SE FL.
  16. The Vegas line is entirely based around the perceptions of people betting on the game. It's not some scientific or mathematic demonstration of anything.
  17. IMO, the strategy should be to get the ball for as many offensive series as possible within 60 minutes of game time. So I think you might actually want the ball first. These guys don't seem to get that ALL series are equally important and it is just as important to score in the first 4 minutes of the game as the last.
  18. I told you guys all you need to know about the weather down here right now. Read my comments up-thread. I don't think anyone did because I wrote more than four words. LOL
  19. I saw this for the first time during the game last night. Nice to see our boy starting to rake in the endorsement money. Once he gets that going, he'll make a HELL OF A LOT more $$$ from that than his salary to play football. I'd like to see him become the face of a huge brand, like NIKE or GILLETTE or whatever. He's a big, strong, physically imposing, good looking young guy...who does amazing things on a football field. And he has a very clean image off the field and away from the game. This should work out well for him.
  20. It's the job of the Bills or whoever runs the stadium environment during games to be thinking of things like that. The fact that it seems to an "anything goes" environment these days is a bad reflection on the organization.
  21. There is, and always has been, a large segment of this fanbase that literally cannot distinguish between "that which is" and "that which I want to be." Well, he's got a great supporting cast all over the place, but sure! The vast bulk of what we have going on right now comes to 1 guy and only 1 guy: Josh. It will remain that way for the rest of his career. When he starts to go south, so will the team unless these guys pull off a miracle and replace him with a new version of himself. It has happened! SF: Montana to Steve Young GB: Favre then Rodgers INDY: Manning and then Andrew Luck
  22. Right. McDermott contacted me last night and asked if I was ready to go. I assured him I was. They're going to be using me in dime situations.
  23. We're going to get one of those NFC East overhyped rivalries this weekend! Dallas and Giants.
  24. I watched for the second week in a row through an "alternative online method" which was riddled with technical problems throughout the second half. The stream would just randomly jump back in time out of nowhere, then jump forward again, then go back, and it would cut away from live action often just when you wanted to see what would happen in the next second or two. It was almost enough for me to just turn it off, but it was a pretty solid, close game throughout. Anyone else run into this problem? I'm right on the edge of just skipping TNF for the season. Al Michaels REALLY helps to make me want to watch. Both look like they will be miss the postseason by a game or 2 or 3.
  25. In that guy's defense, I can see where he is coming from. Physically standing forces him to concentrate a bit more on the game or feel more connected to it; it's easier to lose mental focus sitting comfortably. I think that's where he was coming from.
