  1. In this situation, I totally agree with you. But there is a percentage of this forum (85% ? LOL) that doesn't question anything ever and nothing is ever viewed as a problem or flaw of the franchise. You'd think we'd never lose a game, ever!
  2. Being already onto Baltimore is your prerogative, but to me, that's a weird way to be a fan. I enjoy the games themselves the most, but I also enjoy discussing and deconstructing the games once they've happened. Usually around Monday or Tuesday, I'm ready to move onto the upcoming game, but why skip the game discussion today? It skips a chunk of the fun, even if we lost a tough one!
  3. I LOVED IT! It made him look human and not beyond some good old fashioned emotion. The OP's barometer is a bit off on this stuff. These guys are ex-jocks and athletic coaches. His behavior was probably perfectly normal. You just don't see it all the time. Using the word "unhinged" is ridiculous and describing his tirade as "truly bizarre" is also misguided. At least that's my 2 cents.
  4. That Tweet in the OP is hilarious! It comes right at the end so you have to be a little patient with it. Regarding the other stuff, this is a legitimate complaint. I don't know what we would really do about it, though, other than hope we get a much better review/challenge process in place. It's fair to point out that McDermott is NOT a good in-game tactician. He's actually probably below average. But what can you do? It would be nice to think we could win a close game due to coaching brilliance, or that we enjoy some small advantage because of coaching. In reality, it's the opposite--it benefits our opponent in a really close game...hopefully it won't matter this year on our way to a SB victory.
  5. One of the reasons to implement a "concussion protocol" in the first place was to end the past practice of playing players in the same game in which they were knocked woozy or had their bell rung as you say. When this topic is discussed, people almost laugh at the insanity of the old school practice of playing a player in a game after he has been whacked on the head hard enough for him to not know where he was for a moment. But that is exactly what happened today. If this had been a boxing match, Buffalo would have been awarded a 2 point round for a knockdown, and Tua would have had to stand and be alert by the time the ref counts 8. I don't think he would have passed that test, and yet he was playing again after a short halftime break. To me, that's insane, and I can't believe it doesn't de facto violate a black and white rule governing this stuff.
  6. An extra draft pick being assigned to New England.
  7. That would be Green Bay, and right now they are ahead 14-3! I was hoping this would be a good game b/c I'm not hopeful for SNF.
  8. Yet another example of a QB being seriously hurt while standing in the backfield throwing the ball... The "don't let Josh run" crowd seems to think QBs only get hurt when they run with the ball.
  9. I'm about 1.5 hours north of the stadium. Right now it is 87 F. "Feels like" 96F on the heat index. That's about what it has been all day today and for the last several weeks. The weather in SE florida is pretty consistent. For probably the last 2 or 3 months, it has been right around 90 each day, but it is "103" on the heat index. Humidity is around 60% most days.
  10. It's going to be tougher now with the loss. You have to figure we'll win the second game in OP, that will help. Miami is a solid team with an easy schedule, so sure I'm concerned! The season is not over yet though!
  11. What total nonsense! We had 90 plays in this game; Miami had 39. We got 497 yards; Miami got 212. We had the ball for 40:40. Miami had the ball for 19:20. We dominated much of this game. The difference? Miami was more efficient than we were at converting offense into POINTS. Having only 19 points on a day like today (with 2 coming from the safety) is not a good day's offensive point production. Had the game been played again, we probably would have won, maybe by a lot. Losses of this type will happen. Josh is most of the team and he needs to play as much as he can! He's our most important player by far! The team will rise and all as Josh rises and falls.
  12. That's bull####. He was punch drunk.
  13. I'm thinking about Rush's unusual (but cool) tendency to change time signatures in the middle of a song. That's gotta be tough to dance to! LOL
  14. There were a LOT of misses in this game. We played undisciplined and sloppy at various times too. Any of them hurt.
  15. Well thank God Josh has no hand injury, apparently. If only we could eliminate some of the other injuries as easily!
  16. Yes! His footwork was all messed up on that one. He still does that now and again, though by and large, he has improved tremendously.
  17. It's not "meaningless". All wins and losses are valued exactly the same. But were we going 17-0? No. Are there going to be some tough losses ahead? Probably. I am more concerned about our injury status right now.
  18. When the ball gets down there inside the 5, I would want the ball in Josh's hands on every single play. Maybe some designed QB runs, maybe some option stuff with receiver options available, etc... If he can run it in, do it. If he sees an open guy, throw it. But keep it in his hands on EVERY PLAY. It won't fail 3 or 4 times in a row! It would probably work 3 times in a row!
  19. I thought we had a number of questionable play calls in this game, whereas I don't remember more than a couple from the first 2 games combined.
  20. To the OP: I think this is one (of many) really interesting aspects to the game today. Imagine your son got knocked silly in a high school football game and literally couldn't stand or walk. He then "comes to" 10 minutes later and seems fine. Would you want him playing football at any point that same day? I would be scared for him to play the following week! You're missing the point entirely! LOL
  21. Oh Christ....stuff like this is such hot garbage. Let it go!
  22. A lot of people here seem to have thought the injuries wouldn't matter, simply because we won the first two games the way we did. Other Bills fans hadn't (or still have not) caught on that Miami is a solid team this year.
  23. They mentioned that we were doing that since last Tuesday, I believe.
  24. 497 total yards of offense, but we only converted that into 19 points. There's the bottom line on this game.
