Picking up Edmunds Option a Rare Beane Mistake
ProcessTruster replied to Billy Zabka's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would need to understand exactly what his role is in the defense before judging him. I am thinking the front 6 is more of a gap integrity, manage your gap and then go to the ball type of approach, rather than keep the LBs clean so they can make all the tackles. I might be wrong. Has any one actually studied how McD plays defense? It's not a "star maker" defense, it's kind of a 1/11th "control your gap/play zone behind it" approach to it isn't it? -
Gamepass and Coaches' Film

What I like now is the assurance that this team will be highly competitive in every game they play. For so long, there were 6 or 7 games you just knew were losses. Games now can go either way based on turnovers, injuries , whatever, but this roster is 110% competitive for the first time . So lets go play the games and enjoy them, win or lose. Don't get so invested in the result. Celebrate the successes, recognize that losses will absolutely happen. Its a long season.

Does anyone else sort of avoid this place after a loss?
ProcessTruster replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I come nowhere near. Most Bills fans are a-way too invested in the team, self identifying with the ups and downs. I believe the profession calls it "reflected glory" syndrome or something like that. Losses generate all kinds of hate , etc. So, yeah, stay away until they cool off and realize there is more to life than how the freakin bills did last week. Having said that, Go freakin Bills. -
What will the changes be at the stadium?
ProcessTruster replied to Jpsredemption's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they make everyone mask up Outdoors, I will throw up. What a bunch of politicians. Cave dwellers in Egypt by now are aware Covid does not spread outdoors, per the scientists guys like Poloncarz worship. -
Speed: John Brown vs E Sanders
ProcessTruster replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
so it seems... we don't bust that Seattle game open last year without that John Brown speed , not sure I see a guy like that on today's roster. -
Anyone concerned that John Brown's ability to keep safeties deep was lost when E Sanders replaced him? Anyone have their relative 40 times? I don't recall Sanders being a burner. Hope I am wrong.. Concerned we have a great, but less fast WR group, and secondaries will accordingly play tighter to the line of scrimmage.

Belichick has only one active QB
ProcessTruster replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, kind of a useless discussion. Watch out for the Pats, Mac Jones has looked very good with the starters and McDaniels will coach him up well. I know everyone is expecting a SB, but Pats will be a very different team than the Bills saw last year. Jets will be better, Phins will be tough,. Nothing is a given in the NFL. They will need to compete for every win they get this year. Go Bills. -
KR/PR duties— how will this turn out?
ProcessTruster replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McKenzie. Stevenson to PS. Thats my guess. He cannot be given a spot on the 53 at WR as that means you're cutting Kumerow. In a 17 +2 or 3 game season, at least two WRs will be down for multiple games in all likelihood. The way the Bills throw it, they will need 7 roster WR + 2 PS to get through a 20 game season. MS will get his shot. Kumerow is too important on ST. McD plays "field position" defense (pin 'em deep on punts and kickoffs with great, great ST play and then make 'em go the length of the field). This is why Bam and JK and T Jones are so important-- they are actually part of the defensive approach of the team. Also plays into why LBs are not really run stoppers but great cover guys, its all about gap integrity and keeping the game in front of you. Drives typical knucklehead fans crazy when teams are ripping off 10 yard runs between the 30s, but it works in the long run. Everyone bashes Edmunds, but he is just doing his job. He was not drafted to be a dick butkus downhill banger , but moreso a gap filler tackler, and flexible side to side cover guy. Its total team defense. Frustrating for the 3 and out crowd, but it works. and super strong special teams is a key to it working, by lengthening the field. just my view -
Interesting Drew Bledsoe career recap
ProcessTruster replied to ProcessAccepted's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
was a season ticket holder during his years. absolute rocket arm. I've rarely seen anyone rifle into spots like he could. the year ('02?) where Dick LeBeau was running the zone blitz defense was terrific to watch -
Seachange attitude towards Bills fans
ProcessTruster replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills look very competitive this year for sure. Let's see how they do once the lights come on. A rash of injuries to key players can trash a season pretty quickly.. Heck, a bunch of key players could still be unvaccinated (Josh, others) and go down with Covid for 2-3 games, that could cost you a couple games (maybe even playoff games) right there. Last year is over; they absolutely look great, but hey, let's go play a few regular season games. Then you'll know what you have. and then you still won't know what you have as Covid could take out some unvaccinated key guys at any time. go bills. -

yeah, interesting bc so many WNYers in NC now. strange I guess or perhaps now 30-40 years later people from the mass out migration of the 70's and 80's simply moved on and no reason to go back. the flights would be there if there was demand -
Too early to look at punters?

I'm still trying to figure out why Cory B is gone. I thought he was fine, maybe a little pricey but nothing that wasn't manageable. Beane may have missed on this one. -
