  1. and go through 8-8 for 3 years of scheme changes and the roster cuts and rebuilds that go with them? Nah. This team is banged up on D and slow rolling it on O to keep the D off the field. weird and questionable, but seems to be partial explanation for what is happening. yet another knee jerk reaction to a loss from this board. All will be forgotten and you'll all be singin the praises next Tuesday like you always do after a win.
  2. yeah but the Cover 1 kid, whatever his name is, couldn't heap enough praise on Dorsey after the Bucs game... go watch that youtube, he makes the offense out to be truly inspired. its a "wadda done for me lately" league If they lose to the Broncos on monday night, then its time to think about things a bit, not now
  3. you better hope your eyes are decieving you, cuz we ridin that horse for many years to come
  4. sigh, as a supporter of the McBeane long term process approach, I do need to remind myself to avoid this board after a loss
  5. Fire Dorsey and you are throwing the season away when the division is still there to be had . What a stupid thing to suggest.
  6. Sure. Bring back the punt g-d!
  7. do you think it makes sense to rebuild again with a new coaching staff? Burn 2-3 seasons changing out the roster to fit brand new schemes on offense and defense? I waited too long for a truly competitive team. Don't blow it up over a few sideways away games against top teams.
  8. That could be, actually, that crowd was crazy loud; but McD isn't going to say that as it might get out and incite the next away game crowd. Who knows. Lets see if they go back to it at home on Sunday.
  9. boy, from the looks of this board the 12 packs went down pretty hard last night. lighten up boys, we'll be 7-4 in a couple weeks and the sun will come back out for everyone if Dorsey really is the issue (and there is no way for a fan to know.. hell we don't know the play calls, the checks , etc) he'll get his due in a couple months, no worries there
  10. didn't see most of the game but Cinci scored, what, 24 points? plus had 2 turnovers to work with. seems the D did pretty well. sounds to me like the other side of the ball had a bad night
  11. Nah, they're fine. No one really saw this as a win on the road. So integrate your new guys on D this week, go out and win these next two home games and get to 7-4 and see where we go from there. If lose to Philly on the road, then 7-5 at the bye. Get some guys back, make some playbook changes as usual over the bye maybe and off we go again. With the key guy injuries and Josh being rough on the road, hard to see an SB run this year, which is what it is . This seems to be a big transition year for Josh personally. Farmboy w/college girlfriend becomes loner rock star overnight, can't imagine he's completely handling it. If and when they lose two in a row I'll begin to be concerned.
  12. doesn't really matter. Unless we "spread 'em out and light em up" when we have the ball , who gets which kick ain't gonna matter
  13. Sleep, mostly. These night games on a school night are brutal.
  14. no, only a moron thinks like that. flags usually even out over the course of a game and certainly over the course of a season. For example both the Giants and Bucs games probably should have been losses, but PI was not called on the last play of each game. Karma's a B word; those blown calls will come back (or maybe/hopefully already have) to bite us.
  15. Damar, go change the world with that foundation full of dough you run. That's the way to maximize your impact in the world. Being an NFL player is what it is, but that foundation has a chance to really impact a lot of lives.
  16. well, I would have kept the pick and grabbed a guy in FA, probably not as good, but hey #2 pick is one you do not want to part with I don't to hear a peep out of those who want to roast McBeanes. Thank your lucky stars for "The Process"
  17. I'd love a stat on what % of hamstring injuries happen on artificial turf vs grass
  18. yeah , so cold in December, just hope the Nov games are decent temp, its all you can ask for
  19. I know I've said this in the past, but after 20 years of suck , I truly am still wallowing up to my neck in "this team can compete with any team, anywhere, anytime"- hate to see an L vs a W of course, but man this group competes their butts off And Beane makes moves that will keep the team highly competitive for years. Sit back and watch it happen. and Trust the Process.
  20. yeah what a disaster that whole trip/game was. to be Goodell's little experiment (Jags get rest, Bills don't , etc) and play on some crap overlay field when an amazing grass field is right below it is altogether just bad. I get that 300lbs guys will tear the soccer grass up, but too f in g bad, you want the game , you rebuild your precious soccer field afterwards
  21. man that is one big hammy; pull that bad boy and you'll be down for 6 months!
  22. Yet another solid Beane move. This guy and his scouts have done and continue to do solid work . Posters on this board go nuts and want shiny objects they saw once on Sunday night football; Beane just goes about his business and the reasonably priced talent keeps rolling in. Benford, Bernard (BTW, Edmunds making the same non-plays for da Bears in case you haven't been watching), Kincaid, Torrance, Edwards, Floyd, etc etc. Trust the Process. It works.
  23. 38-34 Bills. anything less than 38, Bills won't get there, IMHO
  24. I'm thinking all white throwbacks (standing bison) for the Jets home game.
