  1. Wasn’t everyone saying that when they took CEH? 😂
  2. Najee Harris was a waste of a pick. He was a volume guy on an average (at best) team. Almost 400 touches and he averaged under 4 yards per carry 😂. They could’ve used that pick on MUCH more impactful positions. You realize the numbers bear out that taking a RB1 in round 1 is one of the worse values you can get, right? I’m not just making this up. Jonathan Taylor was a 2nd round pick…
  3. Because drafting a RB in RD1 is a waste of a pick and we won’t be in position to take him in RD2.
  4. You really know you’re complaining when you’re referring to the practice squad QB as a “dud signing” Ay, dios mío.
  5. I suppose this would come into play with New York trading back up into the 1st round and possibly the 2nd round. After that, things get dicey IMO. Although, they’re in a position where they need to use all of their picks IMO. If they do trade back into RD1… I could possibly see it being with us. Then again, Beane has mentioned how much he values that 5th year option.
  6. Not that first season that I compared them to. Re-read my post and what I wrote. They were all fringe roster type guys (outside of Kelvin Benjamin) that signed for close to league minimum/were traded for guys on the fringe. Tolbert - 1 year at $980K Davis - 2 years at $1.1M/year Brown - 1 year at $680K Johnson - 1 year at $855K Clay - Traded for Kevon Seymour Webb - 1 year at $900K Marlowe - Practice Squad Signing McCray - Practice Squad Signing
  7. Fair enough. Remove David Sills… the point still remains. They’re bringing in players they have familiarity with. I wish McBeane were defended this much with former Carolina players… hell the DaQuan Jones thread had “Former Panther” in it for a solid 4-5 days despite spending the majority of his career in Tennessee and never crossing paths with McDermott or Beane in Carolina.
  8. The Giants had 5 EFRA and tendered contracts to 2. It’s different when you have a new regime.
  9. Pretty much. It sucks that we were effected by that… but at the same time… it’s nice to be the team with an actual plan.
  10. Schoen and Daboll made a conscious decision to re-sign Sills on March 11th.
  11. Ok? Tyrod was in Buffalo with Schoen. Sills was signed by Schoen as a UDFA. He did the leg work. It’s on one of the Embedded episodes. Schoen and Daboll also made the decision to re-sign him on March 11th of this year. LJ McCray was waived without ever playing a game for Carolina. Clay was traded to Buffalo without ever playing in a game for Carolina. I never said the players were impact guys with their former team, or supposed to make a difference with their new team. I was pointing out a pattern. What’s your point? 🤷🏻‍♂️
  12. Since we’ve discussed the Carolina Connection here to exhaustion… figured I’d point out the very apparent pipeline that has started to form in the Meadowlands. 5 years later, Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll are following a familiar blue print with the Giants in year 1. Clean up the salary cap and bring in familiar fringe players who they’ve spent time with in their previous stop. Buffalo —> New York (2022) G Jon Feliciano QB Tyrod Taylor P Jamie Gillian WR Robert Foster QB Davis Webb WR David Sills RB Antonio Williams WR Austin Proehl G Jamil Douglas RB Matt Breida Carolina -> Buffalo (2017) FB Mike Tolbert DE Ryan Davis WR Philly Brown CB Leonard Johnson WR Kaelin Clay QB/ST Joe Webb WR Kelvin Benjamin S L.J. McCray S Dean Marlowe I am curious to see how they draft this year, being gifted a pair of Top 10 picks. With no QB worth taking, I wonder if they trade back to acquire ammo for 2023?
  13. I’m curious about this… how is a premium position like CB a waste of pick when it’s been proven time and time again that a 1st round RB is the closest thing to a guaranteed wasted pick you’ll find?
  14. I think this says SO MUCH about this regime. You've got Von Miller in the building to complete what has the potential to be a franchise altering move. You know he's having a hard time processing things up to this point, you just got screwed by McKissic/the Commanders and instead of rushing the guy upstairs to sign his contact... you let him get comfortable. It's these little things... the sincerity of their actions is the foundation for what they've built. You have to know it'll never be perfect. Guys will move on and relationships will fray - that's the just the reality of things. I personally believe we'll continue to outperform the rest of the league in limiting those types of instances because Beane and McDermott are damn good men and damn good leaders.
  15. So Keenum is a cap hit of $3.5M for Buffalo? A better QB than Bridgewater with a smaller cap hit. A MUCH better QB than Kyle Allen with a slightly larger cap hit. And all it cost us was a pick that would’ve never made the roster… nice.
  16. There aren’t any. Tyrod Taylor and Teddy Bridgewater both got right around $6M/ season. They both took opportunities where they could potentially start. Mariota is going to want to go somewhere he can try and start. Winston is going back to New Orleans to start. I thought Kyle Allen was an interesting option, but again, went somewhere that he could conceivably start. Davis Mills was (IMO) the best rookie QB last year, but who knows what happens. That leaves Fitzpatrick and Dalton. All indications are that Fitzpatrick is done.
  17. Ahhh yes - let's just cherry pick the handful of guys that went after him to support my poor argument. That's a great argent...I'm going to try now but with guys that support my stance. I think I know why they drafted him. WR Isaiah Coulter went a few picks later. They could have drafted S Alohi Gilman, or maybe RB Eno Benjamin or special teamers Blake Ferguson or Sterling Hofrichter. But it is what it is.
  18. 2 years at $10.5M total. That’s slightly less than what I thought he would get (2 years with a $6-7M AAV). I really believed that would be in our price range.
  19. Greg left out the Bills current Senior Offensive Analyst and former 3x OC and 3x QB coach, Mike Shula.
  20. It's right in line with what Tyrod and Bridgewater got. I'd put them all around the same category - although those two both have a REALLY good chance of starting or at least competing for a job with NYG or MIA respectively. I don't think you're getting Mariota or Winston for less? Winston is the starter in NO most likely. Brissett and Fitzpatrick are the only other two competent back up QBs. I think Fitzpatrick wants to start or go somewhere he may start. Keenum > Brissett
  21. One of the greatest endings ever. I can't help but watch the throw and laugh at how spoiled we are with Josh. That's a throw Josh makes flat footed and Keenum had to step into it lol... Solid get for a 7th round pick... he's one of the best backups in the league.
