Okay… so what is their standard? The top of the NFL? By record? Kansas City Philadelphia Buffalo San Francisco
-
I mean, I don’t know you well enough, but have you worked for the elite companies in the world? How do you know what that standard includes? You’re comparing Beane to the elite football evaluators of the world. It’s the NFL… there isn’t anywhere else to look.

Please stop calling it a lackluster draft record. It’s not true… you cannot keep repeating it hoping that it becomes a fact. For it to be a lackluster draft record, it needs to be compared to the rest of the league, it’s that simple. When you go and compare it to the rest of the league, the “lackluster draft record” statement will look silly. I expanded to the non-premium positions below that post. It didn’t shift anything significantly either way. You’re hyper focused on all the instances of “Very Good” players that went after we picked - it’s a vary small number of players in a draft that has 250+ selected. The probability of acquiring a good player with those selections is FAR lower than acquiring a good one. Give me a clear barometer of what a “very good” player is and I’ll spend the time going back to break it down since 2018.

This is a disingenuous representation of what happened. Nobody said Wyatt Teller was a “bust” he was a 5th round pick that needed time to develop and they went with veteran offensive linemen instead. The fact that Teller wasn’t a “bust” was the reason he was traded… because he would’ve be claimed off of waivers for free by another club.

It’s not a waste of money… it barely even counts 🤦🏻 You literally have to bring 90 to camp… no matter who it is they’re going to barely count.
-
What are the ratings based on? Personal feelings?
-
Correct, I guess the narrative I'm seeing people try to create here is that the Bills culture is toxic and Chad Hall had to jump ship.
-
The All-Pro tree that people on this board seem to think every GM has access to except for Brandon Beane.
-
I know this isn't directly related to your post here... But it's entirely plausible that Chad Hall just moved on for personal reasons... I see it happen all the time. It's really not that crazy of an occurrence.

To be clear I'm including AP All-Pro 1st and Second Team. If you look at the entire group excluding Special Teams (43 Players) 4 Teams have 3+ Players 50% made the playoffs in 2022 DAL and SFO 12 Teams have 2+ Players 58% made the playoffs in 2022 DAL, SFO, BAL, BUF, CIN, LAC, NYG 9 Teams have 1 Player 56% made the playoffs in 2022 KAN, MIA, MIN, PHI, SEA 11 Teams have 0 Players 9% made the playoffs in 2022 JAX Almost everyone is with their original drafting teams: Calvin Ridley (Suspended and Traded ATL to JAX) Wyatt Teller (Traded BUF to CLE) Roquan Smith (Traded CHI to BAL) Minkah Fitzpatrick (Traded MIA to PIT) JC Jackson (Signed as FA LAC to NWE) AJ Brown (Traded TEN to PHI) I guess the point here... Beane is in the upper third of the league finding "Stars" (yes, the Teller trade sucks but we're talking about drafting and that's it). He's also been VERY good at finding those average to above average starters... at a rate that puts him in the top 2-3 in the league. He's not a bad drafter the facts don't support that - he's somewhere in the Top 5 when you consider everything (DAL, SFO, KC, IND, BUF)

Since Beane took over drafting in 2018: 61 players who have entered league have been named to at least one All-Pro team Remove Special Teams players from that group then the number drops to 43 players named to at least one All-Pro team Account for only premium positions (QB, WR, T, DE, CB) and the numbers drops to 22 players named to at least one All-Pro team QB - 3 WR - 7 T - 3 DE - 3 CB - 6 3 teams have drafted multiple All-Pro players at premium positions since 2018 Atlanta - Calvin Ridley (2018) and AJ Terrell (2021) Dallas - Micah Parsons (2021), Trevon Diggs (2020) and CeeDee Lamb (2020) San Francisco - Deebo Samuel (2019) and Nick Bosa (2019) 2 GMs have drafted multiple All-Pro players at premium positions since 2018 Dallas - Jerry Jones (Will McClay) San Francisco - John Lynch Thomas Dimitroff drafted Calvin Ridley and Terry Fontenot drafted AJ Terrell Based on the Bills draft position from 2018 - 2022 Brandon Beane had the opportunity to select the following players without sacrificing acquiring another All-Pro Player at a premium position: Josh Allen (HE DID!) DK Metcalf (Over Ed Oliver and Cody Ford) Calvin Ridley (Over Tremaine Edmunds) - Suspended from NFL Jaire Alexander (Over Tremaine Edmunds) Deebo Samuel (Over Ed Oliver) Maxx Crosby (Over Ed Oliver, Cody Ford, Devin Singletary and Dawson Knox) J.C. Jackson (Entire 2018 Draft excluding Josh Allen) A.J. Brown (Over Ed Oliver and Cody Ford) - Traded away before becoming an All-Pro w/ Tennessee Let's not pretend like these premium players grow on trees and are easy to identify. 2/3 of them were 1st round picks that we didn't even have a chance to acquire, and the group listed above had an ADP of the 50th pick... meaning everyone passed on them at least once... including other top tier GMs.

Currently? Joe Brady Mike Tomlin Sean McDermott Mark Duffner The Bills alone have had 3 coaches who are William and Mary graduates (and Marv Levy was the head coach there) haha Buster Ramsey Harvey Johnson Sean McDermott

Mike White: 27/44 268 yards 0 TD His career best game was actually last year against the Cincinnati Bengals Skylar Thompson: 17/45 220 yards 1 TD and 2 picks… lowest completion percentage of the season. The 3 Josh Allen turnovers helped him get the ball in numerous short fields. Mac Jones: 26/40 243 yards 3 TDs and 3 picks Two weeks prior he went 18/22 for 240 2 TDs and 0 INT against Cincinnati 😂 Seemingly having career days is just you being an absolute troll 😂 -

Alright well this means that there are only a handful of teams who can possibly win anything moving forward…. and the Chiefs are the only one with a QB on a big contract … because they’re doing it now that Mahomes contract kicked in. You’ve got like SF, JAX and maybe a few more? Bills can’t because of Allen’s contract Bengals won’t be able to because of Burrow and like 80% of their top players needing 2nd contracts. Chargers can’t once Herbert gets paid. Ravens can’t when Lamar gets paid. Vikings and Cowboys can’t because Cousins/Dak Eagles are about to pay Hurts because he doesn’t have a 5th year option. -
So, four in six years? Doesn't seem like a big deal to me at all. Hell... the Steelers have had 3 OL coaches leave for lateral moves since 2019. They're considered the poster boys for stability lol 2019 - Mike Munchak left for the Broncos 2021 - Adrian Klemm left for University of Oregon 2022 - Chris Morgan left for the Bears I just googled "NFL coach leaves team for same position" and numerous examples came up right away. 2021 - Commanders VP of Player Personnel Kyle Smtih leaves to take same position with Atlanta Falcons 2022- Giants DC Pat Graham leaves Giants to take same positon with Raiders 2023 - Patriots TE coach Nick Caley leaves to take same position with Rams 2023 - Jaguars WR coach Chris Jackson leaves to take same position with University of Texas 2023 - Rams OC Liam Cohen leaves to take same position with University of Kentucky

Who are the other 3 or 4?
-
He didn’t work for the Buffalo Bills. He worked for 3 separate employers… WIVB-TV, Niagara Gazette and Lockport Union Sun & Journal. He’s been the same Jerry Sullivan for years and kept a job… then makes sexist comments where 3 companies terminate him and you’re trying to argue the Bills influenced that? Come on.
-
I said in my post excluding McDermott and it was implied with Beane… so it’s 8/38… because you’d have to add them to the denominator. Semantics. We weren’t talking about players… the discussion was about staff.
-
Okay, but do you see where your comment about him being run out of town for being tough isn’t true?
-
Yeah, those damn Bills! How dare they run Jerry Sullivan out of the building for his misogynistic comments about women. The Niagara Gazette should be ashamed too for following their lead and firing him! It’s critical journalism, maybe I just don’t understand 🤷🏻♂️
