  1. We don't even know if they used any cap space this year? They tacked two years on... 2023 and 2024.
  2. We don't even know the details... only know it's "up to $5.2M" and people are losing their ***** because they think we handed him $5.2M outright. UP TO $5.2M means it could be a two-year deal at the league minimum ($1.01M in 2023 and $1.125M in 2024) with NLBTE incentives lol.
  3. Pretty sure Houston refused to trade him within the AFC… so no reason to be upset? Overall, Bill O’Brien was a pretty irrational decision maker… hard to deal with a guy like that.
  4. Dude that’s a good one! Money well spent on University of Phoenix’s Online “Introduction to Trolling” course.
  5. Yeah! ***** Dion for being a person and having a life! P.S. You’re a clown
  6. *****. The guy who said Josh Allen was in danger of eating himself out of the league was right...
  7. We did. If you check out the Leonard Fournette thread… there is still risk that Josh eats himself out of the league.
  8. Lamar is now going to have to get more than Kyler. Burrow and Herbert more than Lamar. So on and so forth.
  9. Did this thread really turn into people suggesting that Josh might eat himself out of the league? 😂
  10. Haha come on Badol... you're talking to me about my techniques being "worn out"... should I create a poll and see what people think about your techniques? I was asking for context around what was happening with Eric Wood in 2017, outside of coming off of an injury, that made it clear he wasn't going anywhere else after the season. It wasn't vague context that I was asking for... it was actually pretty clear. "I don't remember 2017 all that well... why was there no reason to extend Wood? What is the rest of the context? I didn't suggest they drafted or developed Eric Wood; I was making the point that they decided to reward a player in the building that fit the culture they were trying to build. Extending him fit the way they wanted to build their team... reward the guys in the building. I didn't present my point very well earlier. Thank you - this is exactly what I was looking for when I asked for context. I agree with your final point. A lot of positive things, and he's made some bad decisions as well, it's healthy to point those things out. I don't think there is a GM in the league with a perfect scorecard and even then, his infractions are far less significant than his peers. The mistakes aren't egregious, and he does tend to correct them.
  11. How is Wood declaring Beane the best GM in the NFL additional context for your argument that Beane signed Wood to a bad extension? Plenty of people feel Beane is the best GM in the NFL… it’s not an absurd comment only justified by Beane giving him an extension 😂 I understand your point and appreciate the clarification. Although, you contradicted yourself by saying there was no reason to sign him to an extension and then your 3rd paragraph provided a completely justifiable reason. You may not like why they did that… but draft, develop and retain has been the model they’ve preached from day one. I don’t see a problem with extending a core guy, which allowed them to back up their claims immediately. Wood was coming off an injury shortened season… but prior to that had played 16 games 3 years straight and hadn’t missed a game since 2012… was a Pro Bowl alternate in 2017 where he started 16 games (and a playoff game). The injury that ended his career was just bad luck and unrelated to any other significant injury in his career (both of which were also bad luck). It’s hard to predict I injuries and if you’re going to ding decision makers for failing to, you’re not being realistic.
  12. I don't remember 2017 all that well... why was there no reason to extend Wood? What is the rest of the context?
  13. They also did a good job of supporting him with some former OC. Mike Shula, Aaron Kromer and Joe Brady… he’ll have people to help him out.
  14. Clutch intangibles? The Dolphins were replacing him late in games with Ryan Fitzpatrick... Then in the most important game of his career, week 17 with a playoff berth on the line, he absolutely ***** the bed along with the rest of the Dolphins.
  15. This is a pretty interesting idea... Continue to expose them to waivers when they come off the 90-man roster, but if they clear waivers and are sent to the practice squad, you retain their rights on your practice squad (or you can decide to outright release). Similar to MLB rules with taking a guy off the 40-man roster.
  16. Why do people think that Josh Allen taking a leap after year 3 means that anyone can take a leap after year 3? It’s idiotic.
  17. Even if the Bills win multiple Super Bowls, some will cling to this view.
  18. Labeling a 7th rounder a dumpster fire is a red flag for your entire thought process haha. It makes the whole thing laughable. Look at any talent acquired by other organizations during the same time frame, it’s not nearly as pretty. Josh Allen or no Josh Allen.
  19. My guess is Gaine has a lot of those responsibilities and is paid closer to an AGM than not. This is an opportunity for us to attract some talent from outside to replenish our Front Office a little bit. Opportunities are going to come from word of mouth around the league, not necessarily AGM titles. Wouldn’t be able to get this Hunt guy on a lateral move.
  20. Benford is absolutely making the roster.
  21. His hat is sick… too bad it costs like $70
  22. Actually, what’s even more impressive about all of this, is that Elam does not have an agent. He represents himself with help of his father and uncle who both played in the league. He isn't employing an agent, rather, Elam is representing himself in the draft process with help from his father Abram and uncle Matt, both former NFL players and the latter an All-American defensive back at Florida, as well as advisors, financial planners and a lawyer.
