  1. I personally believe Brian Flores should find his way into the mix somewhere. Although, it may not happen with all the lawsuit stuff. Frank Smith probably ends up with a job seeing he's highly regarded by players and works for the trendy team right now.
  2. As it should be? They had the lead and the Dolphins were out of timeouts. The object of the game is to have more points than the other team when the clock expires.
  3. Then don’t speak in hyperbole. You called it “a kneel to the left.” That wasn’t the play call. That play has been very successful for them in the past. It gives them an extra blocker and puts the ball in your best player’s hands. It also limits the possibility of a turnover in that situation and guarantees the clock keeps running. McDermott went for it on 4th and 1 from his own 35 on the same drive, went for it again from 4th and 1 and you’ve zeroed in on a QB sweep (that’s been very effective in the past) as spineless? Your agenda is showing…
  4. Yeah, that’s not what the play call was. It was a version of the QB sweep they’ve run with Allen in the past (Houston WC game comes to mind, but it was a pretty common play call under Daboll). The play got blown up and rather than Josh try and fight up the sideline and stop the clock by going out of bounds, he fell down in bounds. If you legitimately think the play call was “run left and kneel down” I don’t really know what to say…
  5. Which play are you referring to? The Allen run on 2nd and 11 after the Dolphins called their final timeout with under 3 minutes left?
  6. The defensive holding penalty that stopped the clock on Josh’s 3rd and 13 conversion screwed things up quite a bit on the drive. It required us to convert another 1st down when we may not have had to otherwise.
  7. How could it only be 9 plays before the final drive? They had 5 drives in the second half, which means 4 of them were before the final drive. They punted each of those 4 drives...
  8. This is why I have hope that Dorian Williams makes a Terrel Bernard-esque leap in 2024.
  9. Kudos to Pederson for having some conviction. Press Taylor must feel incredibly valued and supported. Unfortunate for the rest of the staff.
  10. Man, I hope we win one. I don't want to look back and wonder what could have been - this group has had SO much success. At the same time, I need to remember to enjoy this for what it is. We're so competitive each and every week.
  11. JD McKissic
  12. You mean like when he canned Rick Dennison after 1 season to bring in notoriously combustible Brian Daboll to run the offense and Daboll went on to hold the role until he was hired as a HC?
  13. It was very well known that Daboll was a hot head before he got here, while he was here and after he left. Derek Anderson told stories about it, Josh talks about it. He grew by the time he got to Buffalo and while he was here, but I got the sense he wasn’t very well received in his previous stops as OC.
  14. Most people are going to say Hail Murray, the Jefferson catch, the Hurricane Game, etc. Yes, I know those aren’t game blowing mistakes… but others do not.
  15. Don’t worry, there are people on this board who will legitimately argue we need to hire Doug Pederson to replace McDermott.
  16. 3 of those years he wasn’t the unicorn he is today. Playoff appearances in 2/3 those seasons. Sights are still set higher.
  17. One thing I've learned over the years, the majority of players aren't really clear on what it takes to be a high-level coach. What they are VERY clear on is how a coach makes them feel. Players don't view the game the same way most coaches and fans do. This is really ranking the best "people managers" in those roles. As for X's and O's... well that shows up in the results.
  18. Lord. The revisionist history with this signing is hysterical.
  19. But Cam Newton was allowed to be MVP for the exact same reason? Jalen Hurts was the runner up last year and favorite for most of this year for the exact same reason before he threw up all over himself? Give me a break.
  20. I mean the statistically he’s on pace to be in the top 5-10 QBs ever. Josh’s average season the last 4 years blows some of the recent MVP seasons out of the water. Somehow this inconsistent QB is consistently putting up MVP numbers since breaking out in 2020. We’re going to penalize the guy for consistently being elite while MAYBE 1 other guy a year produces a similar season and gets an award. His *career* INT% of 2.4% is equal to guys in a similar era like Matthew Stafford and better than Rivers, Roethlisberger, Manning and Newton to name a few. Drew Brees sat at 2.3%. Want to talk about fumbles? Lamar? Hurts? They’re not passers like Josh Allen. Hurts averages 3 fumbles lost a season, Lamar 4, Josh 4. How come we don’t hear about their fumbling problem? Sure, let’s talk about all the other dual threat QBs that throw the ball like Josh…. Waiting… Josh is about to have his 4th straight 4,000 yard passing season. Lamar, Newton and Hurts have combined for 1 between the 3 of them… it came in Newton’s rookie season. If you do not want to recognize how great he truly is, I just feel sorry you (and sports writers) are willing to miss it.
  21. I guess my point with Kyle Allen is, he couldn’t produce the numbers Keenum did across 2 games? His career averages are better than that and he was on some talent depleted teams. Brissett is too good to sign with us. He’ll have the opportunity to sign with a team in QB purgatory because he’s good enough to start. It’ll be too hard to get that type of quality backup to sign here, because most want a chance to play.
  22. On Josh’s 15 rushing TDs, he scores from an average of 6 yards out. It’s pretty much a 50/50 split from inside the 5 and outside the 5. This isn’t Jalen Hurts getting carried in by his teammates 11 times from the 1 yard line. As for Damien Harris being the catalyst for Josh’s “misleading” TD numbers inside the 5… no. He has 8 from inside the 5 yard line and 5 of those have come the last 3 weeks… Damien Harris last played on 10/15. The last 3 weeks have been *must win* all that says to me is with our backs against the wall we want the ball in the hands of our best player.
  23. You don’t think Kyle Allen could complete 64% of his passes for 291 yards, 1 TD and 3 INT across two games like Keenum? If Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky weren’t so incompetent, I think Rudolph would’ve been here next year. Supposedly we liked him a lot coming out in 2018. At this point he probably goes back to Pittsburgh with a chance to start.
  24. Is this possible? You can’t have more than 5-6 inactive players… this list has like 15 guys on it lol
