This was not a fire thread nor was this part of the game day thread. You came on this thread carrying your baggage with you and assuming this was whatever you are claiming it to be. Again your post was one of the very first posts of the thread. There was no back and forth or I told you so's like you seem to be saying. I started this thread with data around McD's tenure as Bills HC and you chose to reply. Dont backpedal about how your being taken out of context. If that is the case it is because you are bringing discussions on other threads here.

Here is the issue I have. I read and comment on threads based on what is an interesting discussion to me. However, many feel that any negative talk should not be allowed or your dont know what your talking about. If you dont want to discuss if McD is doing a good job because 5-2 is enough and you want to stay positive then dont read the thread. Why come on here to say nothing but insult someone? Ignore if you dont want to hear about it. I am interesting in this topic. We have a 5-2 team that has some debatable attributes. We have beat bad teams by a small margin. Our offense has been inconsistent. It is a good debate in my opinion and not as simple as we are 5-2 what else do you expect. Some of us enjoy more than just the watching of the game. We enjoy discussing more than just the win or loss or the record of the team. Not for everybody. And if you dont like it then why tell others to just shut up and watch the game? Much easier for you to not read the particular thread.

I didnt know we were required to be asked to post on this forum. I am sorry but saying "It must have been really difficult to remain quiet through the 5-1 start. Congrats!" sounds like a put down to anyone being critical and a kool aid drinking comment. There was no mention of firing anyone in this thread when you made your post. Your post was one of the first on page 1 of this thread. It seemed to be in response to the original post, not a reply to anything else. Insinuating that the thread was started by someone that is over reacting and has been quiet until this loss. Why reply to this thread at all if your not interested in the discussion? You add nothing to the discussion with a ""It must have been really difficult to remain quiet through the 5-1 start. Congrats!". That is simply an insult and offers no analysis or opinion of the info presented.

If they had won it just would have been.....”well, of course, they were supposed to win!” I’ll wait and see how things play out, but I don’t hide after a bad game. I’m also not getting into a long, dragged out waste of time. I’m not thrilled with everything (by any means!), but I remain positive about the overall direction.

Not an excuse. Been here long enough to have a say in who we have. And other Bills teams or teams around the league have done more with much less talent.

Biggest chatter out there with a few hours to go: RB: Gordon or Bell WR: Evans, Green, Gabriel TE: Eifert, Howard DT; Billings

Its one bad loss combined with shaky wins against the worst teams in the league. If we had been blowing those teams out it would be a different story.

To add - you can be happy the team is 5-2. BUT...still see that the offense has not progressed as much as it should have by this time. That is alarming. The offensive rankings have not been this bad since the Jauron years. And dont say we should not expect better given Allen is still learning, all the changes, etc. Bills of the past faced the same. People quickly forget when the team had a serious lack of talent on offense.

I think it is too early to make a judgement on McD. However, I do find it interesting that people say he took a bad team that he inherited and guided them into the playoffs. He now gets to build his own team. So if he cant guide his own team that he built into the playoffs is that not a bad thing? How can we call it a success if McD gets the Bills make the playoffs. But at the same time, the last time the Bills made then playoff was with a team many say had zero talent and needed a complete rebuild? That makes no sense.

My comment was related to the myth that every team needs at least 4-5 years after hiring a new regime. That is false. Most new regimes dont last 4-5 years if they dont get it right. McD is in year 3 and I would say right now is in the B range but if Allen flames out that could easily drop him down to the D range after next year and he could be in trouble.

I have not been quiet and do not hide out. So not sure how you come up with that. I am sure you read my post history... No its 13 losses by more than 10 and of those 13 losses 7 of them is by more 20. For context during Rex two years only had 1 loss by more than a couple TD's and Marrone only 3. So McD is already double those guys combined. Dont think so. Check my posts.

1. Doing more with less - Not sure that is true. Even if it was this is year 3 so whose fault is that? 2. Day or two like yesterday? Under McD there have been way too many. They have 10 losses by more than 14 points in his 39 games. That is more than 1 in 4 are blowouts. Comparison - Rex had 1 in 31 games...Marrone had 3 in his 32 games.

All I have to say about that.

Myth. McVay and Shanahan have built those teams into winners. Rams offense was horrendous for a number of years before he got there and he turned it around. 49ers were terrible on both sides of the ball. Bills offense the last 3 years has yet to be as good as it was the 3 years before McD got hired. The D was good/decent ranked 4, 15, 16 before McD and has been 18. 18, 5 with him. Sobering facts.

Well he did lead the nation is rushing attempts in 2017. Not sure why people think he cant handle a workload. He is 5'7 and 203 vs gore at 5'9 and 212. Not a huge difference.

What makes you think he is capable of that? The fact he has trouble versus the blitz tells me he is not the guy ready to be calling his own plays etc.

I could have started this same thread after the game against PHI. Can we question his ability now? Bills are down 24-13 and recover fumble on PHI 43.Tons of time left, over 4 mins in 3rd. Gore runs for 6 yards. Gore runs for 8 yards to PHI 29. Daboll calls 4 straight pass plays and Bills turn ball over. Luckily Bills force a 3 and out. Bills still have entire 4th quarter and good field position at own 40. Daboll calls 3 straight pass plays and punts. PHI goes on game ending drive. Regardless Bills get ball 2 more pass plays for 0 yards. Then first run on a 3rd and 23. Next drive 4 pointless pass plays down by a ton. So trailing 24-13 with a ton of football left two run plays for 14 yards followed by 13 pass plays for basically 0 yards....awful terrible dreadful.

And sorry but Bama offense aint gonna work in the NFL.

Wow. Low bar we have here. Win 1-2 games against good teams. Hope for an easy schedule so maybe we can get 7-9 wins.
