Hoecht is listed as 300lbs -
Bills don't "need" a WR, they need to use the ones they have better
ngbills replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
One higher quality receiver can do a lot more than a bunch of average ones. Much of what the qb is doing depends on what happens pre snap. When you have Samuel and Moore etc out there the D has a lot more flexibility. -
Ridley as the main target feels odd. I would have taken him but kind of surprised that was the deal they were going after. Follows the pattern though of the type Beane goes after.

Serious question how good are 7-2 AFC teams (and LAC at 6-3)
ngbills replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Exactly. The games hard to root for are Broncos and Chargers. On one hand want them to lose for playoff seeding purposes. But on the other winning keeps them ahead of KC. The Ravens are also tough - want them to lose because I dont know if I want to see them in the playoffs. But I want them to win enough that the game vs the Pats late in the season is an important one still. -

NE vs TB this week is a huge game. Not only one of the few NE could lose, but may tell us more about how legit they are. -
217 is right. He just has very skinny legs.

Telling yourself the Bills dont need a WR or any improvement is fine. Yes, they still make the playoffs with this roster. That has never been the issue. The issue is they have a glaring weakness that allows other teams to development a gameplan or even a plan for an important last drive of a game. It leaves minimal room for error in critical playoff games. Adding even a decent WR that forced attention adds an element that will help you in those crucial situations.

What team "won" on trade deadline day-2025 edition
ngbills replied to TBBills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
So would TB, PHI, SF, DET and more Jets also still have Wilson and Hall. Get them a qb and make good draft picks they could be solid pretty quickly. -
Could it get any funnier? Maybe there is a very long clearance process to get access to the facility. So easier to get guys in that are already cleared to enter the building.
-
And another early exit, especially in a year like this, you definitely have to look at the GM. Imagine losing in the playoffs and seeing a couple teams like DEN and NE go further. Or Indy with Jones as QB. Honestly losing to any of these AFC teams is a clear indictment of Beane failing to get this team over the hump. Josh Allen with James Cook with a solid and OL returning all its starters. And you lose to any of these AFC teams. No way to spin it.

PHI,TB, LAR - The three non Chiefs to win all did it through trades and free agency. Add in SF who has lost two.
-
Cant really speculate on the guys that didnt get traded. But of the deals that did happen, I wish the Bills had done the Shaheed and Dre'Mont Jones trades.
-
Actually I think they are calling it one of the biggest and most active ever.
-
Its called the whatever the Bills do is the best move and whatever your opinion was is a terrible unless it becomes what the Bills do.
-
Beane is trying to set the record for the most players on a roster that you also have dead cap space from the last time on the roster.
-
Some wanted Waddle/Olave/BTJ and Hendrickson/Crosby/Simmons...you will have to settle for Miller and Samuel.
-
Von comes back and is hurt by Thursdays practice.
-
We dont want to make a trade but our OK giving guys like Samuel and Palmer $10M. We are ok trading a 3rd round pick to move up 7 picks in the 2nd round. But a 4th or 5th for a guy that can help this year is too risky...
-
With Josh Allen and some kid who plays fantasy football as GM the Bills make the playoffs in most years. Swing for the fences if we want to go for a Super Bowl. Having Allen as QB allows a GM to take bigger risks.
-
31 other teams don't have Josh Allen at QB
-
Just few minor details...
-
Man if we dont get a WR at the deadline that really feels like a big middle finger from Beane and his ego is even bigger than I thought.
-
Or when you got one guy with a big appetite, you cook more food and everybody gets more.
-
Its going to be a long and unproductive day at work...
-
Olave time? Or will it be Shaheed?
