I was thinking about the past three years and see it different. 2025 Hairston is hurt and who knows when he will contribute. Sanders and Jackson may get rotational snaps. 2024 Coleman and Bishop are both fringe starters. They don’t progress this year and both could be upgraded next season. Carter is out for the year and was fighting to see the field anyway. 2023 Torrence is the best pick of these years in terms of being a legit starter. Kincaid has not been anywhere close to what he was expected to be. Williams is just a jag. My point was this is a Super Bowl favorite and not one of these picks from the last three years has been a home run or even a triple. Mostly single and doubles. Maybe Kincaid or Coleman break out this year. A legit start would be make this team that much more scary.

Imagine this team if more of our draft picks from the 1-3 rounds the past few years were bigger contributors…

He has been injured and has played poorly. He started last week and will be healthy to play in the 3rd game. Bernard was out. I dont know if he played a preseason snap.

Nice try but if you recall Bernard was injured and missed most of that preseason. Quite different than guys sucking. And the Bills D still played ok in preseason not anything like this years version. Not saying it means anything about the season just that is much different than the S problems this year.

Last couple years - They are spending $24M ($8M per) on Samuel, threw $3.5M away on MVS and Claypool (after throwing $ away on Harty the year before), spending $10M per on Palmer, possibly throwing $2.5M away on Moore, with likely more $ to come on guys like Davis or whoever they sign. They draft only a 7th round throw away pick on WR this year. Last year they trade back and end up taking only 1 WR in one of the best WR drafts in a long time. Its been miss after miss after miss. Shakir is really the bright spot. Even going back further and looking at Kincaid was supposed to be.

Then they should have brought Hollins back and not signed Moore.

Gabe Davis is an enigma. Its the ability vs opportunity argument. Would player xyz have the same or better result if given the opportunities Davis was? What he did in Jac did nothing to help the case that it was his talent that led to success in Buf. He played 11 games last year and in 5 of them had 1 catch or less. The year before in Buf he had 7 such games. He is a guy that disappears. To me that is a reflection of him not bringing a ton to the table but in the right situations (as most NFL quality players would) will put up big numbers. Just some more stats: 74 careers games 24 games with 0-1 catches and 39 with only 2 or less 6 100 yd rec games; 22 50+ yd rec games; 26 games with 20 or less yards Catch rate of 50% or below in 36 games

I’ve read very few, if any, fire anybody over these preseason games. I have read player xyz sucks. To me that is fair. Winning and losing gets a pass in preseason. But a fringe player not doing well carries a lot of weight. And for what it is worth when McD was like 10-1 in preseason the word was always about the culture and preperation…,

Last year vs Bears in preseason 6-3 at half 13-6 going to 4th Chi had 340 yards to Bills 200 Yesterdays drubbing was on a whole new level.

Have the McD bills ever played a worse preseason game? Not sure it means anything…let’s hope not. Just awful. Like they don’t want to be out there.
