Other than the Bills I have not seen anyone thinking he should have been ejected. Honestly, if that was a Bills player making that hit I would not think they should get ejected. I have seen way way worse hits on players than that. I think pre-concussion protocol he is playing within a few snaps. The problem with running QB's is the refs do start to treat them as RB's and I get it in some ways. On one play they run over a defensive guy and on the next should be protected. It does get confusing and unfair for a defensive player.

So you are happy with this level of QB play? Even coach McD has concerns and says he needs to be better. I can bet there will be QB coaches fired and maybe OC fired if Allen does not show a ton more progress. It is not good enough...

Yep - better QB play and those games are not even close so no comeback required. Those should and could have been blow out wins.

Who cares - I was responding to someone trying to say that Tyrod played worse than Allen. I take Allen long term over Tyrod no question. But lets keep it real, Allen has looked very shaky at times and was downright awful yesterday. Allen has much higher upside but is not a better QB consistently than Tyrod yet. Take away the turnovers, given the Bills field position yesterday I bet they get at least 2-3 more field goals yesterday and win that game with a "Tyrod" at QB.

Sorry - we would be 4-0 with Tyrod as QB. That does not mean he is the answer. Just that 3-1 is more on the Bills D than Josh Allen.

It is OK to be worried about Josh Allen. Saying you are concerned does not mean you are a hater. It does not mean you are clueless. It does not mean you think he needs to play lights out every single game. Reality check - He has been inconsistent through the majority of his starts. His latest was maybe his worst ever. Ironically his 2nd worst was a year ago today vs GNB. He has shown flashes of being very good and very bad - which is normal for a young QB especially one from Wyoming. However, I would say his legs have helped him out a ton thus far in his career which the NFL has proven is unsustainable. Allen has never had a game he dominated via throwing the ball. Not a single game completing 70% of his passes, not a single 300 yd game, no QBR >120 games. And I wont waste time comparing to a Brady, Brees, Rodgers, etc. Look even at guys like Lamar Jackson who is doing what we want Allen to do. I dont expect it every game....but you have to want more than what your getting. The 4th quarter comebacks are nice but that does not remove the need for solid QB play. Those arund for the Flutie days can tell you that.

Allen - 18 Ints and 13 fumbles in 16 games Taylor - 20 ints and 20 fumbles in 66 games Allen highest QBR is 114.9 (over 100 3 times); Above 90 only 3 times. Taylor highest QBR is 146.5 and over 114.9 seven times (over 100 19 times); Above 90 33 times. Allen Record - 8-8 Taylor Record - 37-28-1 We may think Allen has more upside. But reality is he has not outperformed Taylor yet. Josh has a long way to go if he wants to succeed in this league. If what he has shown this year is who he is I dont think he gets more than this season and next.

He is looking a bit like Colin K once the league figured him out. Problem is Allen is only in year 2...hopefully he can learn to be a better decision maker and rely less on being an athlete.

And Barkley has been cut how many times? And losing his job to Peterman is on the coach not Tyrod, that was a horrible decision. Tyrod had the opportunity to start because he is better than most of those guys on the list hence #3.

He was getting beat out for the job. He was going to be cut if he didnt get hurt. Back ups are mostly what they are - guys most teams hope does not start. Some teams have back ups that were in the mix to be starter, some have guys that were starters. Barkley for many years now has not been in any conversation about being an nfl starter. Decent back up to have but if Allen went down long term I would hope the bills explore other options.

Isn't that part of the game and true about every team? Good teams player smarter, make less mistakes, and dont turn the ball over. That is exactly why the Bills are not yet on the level of the Pats.

Agree not the worst. But Bills fans do think he is better than he is. He would not be a starter on other teams and not many would want him as their back up. And yes he was sitting on his couch when the Bills came looking. He said only the Bills reached out. Barkley was on an NFL roster during the preseason. He was with the Bengals and even played against Bills during the exhibition season. As things went, he was eventually released via injury settlement. After recovering, Barkley wanted back in the NFL. Too bad nobody wanted him. Until the Bills came calling.

NFL = Any team can win any week. How many 16-0 teams have their been? Every year, heck every week a bad team team beats a good team. This NE is good but far from the best especially given all the injuries and those better teams lost games. So no it wont be a miracle if the Bills win.

Yes the Bills can win. But to say our 3-0 looks better than the Pats 3-0 based on the eye test is absurd. The Pats are dominating right now. The Bills have barely sqeaked by. The Bills could be 0-3 with a few bad breaks, while all the Pats games are not even close.

We definitely over value Barkley. I dont mind him as a back up but remember he was sitting on a couch last year and was like the 6th guy the Bills called and one that not many other teams were calling. If the Bills cut him not sure how many other teams would drop their back up to pick him up...

If season ended now the Bills get the division and based on strength of victory tie breaker vs the Pats. Chiefs get top seed and Bills #2 and playoff bye. Woohoooo. True - regardless the Bills D is much better than its offense at this point. I would be confident that our D could hold our offense under 14 points.

Another way to look at it: Each of the teams we played gave up the least amount of points vs. the Bills. That means 6 teams scored more points against the same teams we played. In all three games we scored less than any of three teams they had played. Our offense has much room for improvement. On defense its not quite the opposite but close. Both CIN and NYG have scoring lows vs the Bills D. While NYJ have their high vs. The Bills D. However, Bills have not held a team under 14 this season.

Pats have outscored teams 106 to 17. Bills 66-47 and all three games were undecided going into the last few minutes. I would call the completion a wash. NYJ/NYG/CIN vs PIT/MIA/NYJ...not much difference there. NYJ=NYJ, NYG>MIA, PIT>CIN.

Then rankings would really be pointless. That would just be the NFL standings. These guys are paid to have some opinions and we dont have to agree with them all. If we play NE tough I would bet money we barely move in the rankings and could actually gain spots in ones that have us lower. Teams records is called the standings. Rankings attempt to be something different.

Played KC tough. If the Bills lose to NE by 3 or less and some other team barely beats MIA how should the rankings adjust?

This team is 3-0 and has yet to play a complete game. Our opponents record is 1-8 Bottom line is that it is not very clear how good this team is. This weeks game will give a much better gauge. Regardless, you need to win games you are supposed to win and sneak in a few you are not. Path to 11-5?
