  1. Where was Joe B's All 22 from the NE game?
  2. Not sure I would go that far. Not many teams are going 16-0 last I checked. So the Chiefs and the Pats are going to lose some games this year. I could move the Colts to the next tier - on the fence with them.
  3. The league is very muddled these days. Few teams at the top, few at the bottom and a ton in the middle. The teams in the middle can change really fast. Sometimes due to injuries and sometimes for no reason at all. Bottom is clearly - MIA, NYJ, WAS Next Bottom - CIN, DEN, AZ The Closer to Bottom than top - OAK, ATL, PIT, NYG, TEN, TB, CAR, IND, JAC The Closer to Top than Bottom - HOU, MIN, BAL, SEA, CLE, LAC, BUF, DET, SF, GB, LAR, PHI, CHI, DAL, NO The Top - NE, KC Luckily for Bills this season we play 7 games against the bottom of the league. So we can split the remaining 9 games vs mid to better teams and still finish with 11-12 wins. This is the season that anyone could wind up in the AFC title game. Its a year to take advantage of. I do think we are below the Chiefs and Pats, but I when you have a good defense you can make anything happen.
  4. It is lazy to say we dont need Gordon. He is one of the best backs in the league. He instantly upgrades this offense and adds an element that would help out Allen a ton as his security blanket. Gore has been steady and good at what he asked to do. Singletary is still in unknown. Yeldon would not be missed. If this could get done for a 3rd and Yeldon you take it in a heartbeat.
  5. Equals 6-2 Then 3-1 or 2-2 vs Browns, Dolphins, Broncos, Cowboys Then 3-1 or 2-2 vs Ravens, Steelers, Pats, Jets Equals best of 12-4 to 10-6. A bunch of teams fighting for the wild card spots. Bills have an advantage being in the east with the Jets and Mia. Hopefully other divisions beat each other up a bit and all wind up 2-2 vs each other.
  6. Everyone expected the team to win these games. All the talk was how easy the season started for the team. I expect 4-1 or 3-2 at a minimum or I would be looking at the season as headed in the wrong direction.
  7. Here is the problem. You left out what the "Goat" did in the weeks prior to week 5 vs MIA. In week 1 it was 300 yds and 3 tds. In week 3 it was 400 yds and 4 tds. He had been throwing for at least 270 yds each game and completing 70% of his passes.
  8. Huh? Yes after 15 starts you have not proven yourself. Especially when in college you did not really prove yourself either. No way you can compare a Allen bad game to oh well Drew Brees and Tom Brady have bad games once in a while too. That is crazy talk.
  9. I think you earn the right to dismiss the bad games. JA has not earned that yet.
  10. Watch the film...defending JA blindly is the doing the same thing you are saying. He has work to do. Until then people are right. Watch the film...defending JA blindly is the doing the same thing you are saying. He has work to do. Until then people are right.
  11. Watch the footwork in the Pats game. It was atrocious - numerous examples of simple stuff. Not stepping into his throws, not moving his feet/body with the direction of his pass, etc. Maybe as a whole he has made progress but he is still doing things many QB's dont do in college or even high school. The positive spin on this could be that it shows there is still a ton of improvement once he gets this right. But the flipside is that its just too much for him to handle and he cant get there. I for one am not giving up on him. I think he has a ton of arm potential, toughness and seems to want it. I only chime in because I read these comments wanting to ignore he has any issues, blame others and excuse his bad play. The bar must be higher if we want this to be the franchise guy.
  12. Bad footwork, bad reads, bad by any standard
  13. The "Dirtiness" is my point with the Van Noy hit. That was 100% unnecessary and Van Noy knew it. He saw an opportunity to hurt our QB and was smart enough to know we did not have another one available if he couldn't get up. If the NFL truly cares about safety that is the type of play you punish a guy on more than the penalty and cheap fine. The old NFL it was ok to hit guys whenever you want. But that is not ok in todays NFL and the rules say so. The problem is the NFL does not equally enforce them. Burflict makes that hit on Barkley he gets the suspension he just got. Van Noy does it and its a penalty and lets move on. Gronk was the same thing. Its the intention to be dirty that should be stopped. That is much different than a guy playing hard and roughing someone up during the play. Van Noy v Barkley & Gronk v White were Dirty and cowardly plays with no justification. Jones v Allen was a part of the game. You can say Jones went high but whatever happened was while two guys were competing. Allen going tough for the first down and Jones trying to stop him.
  14. Like the effort but fail to see an All-22 take from this? Sounded like general comments and opinions from the game.
  15. Or because they released Veasy? If no WR was released I would think it meant something.
  16. This hit was not legal. It was in a players back, when he was defenseless. It is a protected position. It was not part of the play. Showed intent to injure imo. Exactly. Barkley goes out band it is game over as we dont have a QB left.
  17. Why is there not more discussion on the Van Noy hit on Barkley? This is with Allen out and knowing Bills dont have another QB. This bothers me more than the Allen hit in that it looks like a direct attempt to injure him. He should have been tossed from the game in my opinion as it is just dirty and on a defenseless player.
  18. A couple points: 1. So he played worse than Big Ben and about the same as Ryan/Fitz, Josh Rosen and Luke Falk. That is the expectation? 2. Eye Test Counts for something - There were some terrible decisions. 3. The first three games count too and those were not good enough. I can buy this if he was lights out vs other teams and had a tough day vs NE. I feel like threads like this are trying to say "there is nothing to see here, he is awesome and supposed to struggle vs NE". We are setting the bar way too low and making justifications for bad play. I am not saying you give up on Josh Allen but just being real that he has a long way to go. Hopefully the coaches and people around him are able to do their job and help him develop. He is still a big project.
  19. What - we lost and still moved up a spot in USA Today rankings...
  20. I would feel happier for sure. But logically feel the same: 1. This D is really good. 2. Josh Allen has a long way to go. 3. Daboll worries me. His play calling does not seem to outsmart anyone or play to his teams strengths.
  21. This is drastically underestimating the mistakes that put the Bills out of field goal range. Those were huge and key in losing the game. Bills had it at NWE 35 and Allen took bad sack putting them out of range Bills had it at NWE 25 and Allen took bad sack, pushing FG to a 49 yarder which was missed Bills had 1st downs around mid field on two of his int's That is a lot of points left on table
  22. When did Jim Kelly play? This is a different NFL my friend. In today's NFL 250 yds and you are the bottom third of the league. Back in Kelly's day 250 was close to leading the league or at least top 5. So yes, I want better than bottom third and dont care about how someone compares to 30 year old stats that have drastically changed.
  23. It does not seem like many of the people on here have played the game. He was stopped and Jones had no business being involved what? If Hyde or Poyer on that play did not become involved I want them off the field. The QB is running like a RB trying to get the first down and running over the defender your job is to stop him. This hit is 100% on the style of play involved. Josh is thinking "they are jot stopping me", lowers and initiates contact to run the guys over and almost does. If Allen gets lower and not so upright maybe he gets more forward push. But since he is still a bit upright his progress is stopped. Watch the video and switch the helmets and you are liking what your Bills defense does there.
