  1. It is crazy that the NFL suspends for players for all kinds of stuff... but would not for an act like t his during a joint practice. There has be consequences or else players will really take liberties during these. Did he strike at a guy withOUT a helmet? If os, that's truly dangerous. Otherwise, meh, one game is good
  2. The point here is not if he knew if she was 17 or if she lied, the point is we all don't know tons of details yet. Still so many people would hang Araiza to the nearest tree without a care. If he raped, that's a huge thing, obviously, and make everything else a moot point. But a 21 yo dude having sex with a 17yo gal present at a college party is not exactly something to prevent a guy from having a career!
  3. Well, if we have two backup punters (Bass & Barkley), that's better than most teams! Someone that can kick 40 and under field goals would be good too. I find it weird when a kicker is injured and you have players on the team try out during that week. I mean, all that time in training camp and you allow zero minutes to that important factor?
  4. Jokes aside, I really like the slogan. Grudgingly, we have to admit "Do Your Job" was a good one... but the Bills one is way more inspiring, an upper level... like the team.
  5. "Aim for the knee. Or head if he has a concussion" - Whatever team Gregg Williams is DC for
  6. Very good point. My worry with Josh back when he was drafted was not that he'd be a bust, but just a "good" QB, like so many B level long lasting starting QBs in the league. Hard to get rid of them as they are good players, but they are not elite top tier either. The limbo. Thankfully for us Bills fans, Josh has been pure gold from the get go and always improving. With the salary cap and how QBs get paid, unless Mayfield becomes top tier, the Browns did the right thing IMO.
  7. OK. Sorry if I have missed it, long thread, but why did it go from 6 to 11 games?
  8. Not only that, but I'm sure Araiza can "learn" how to punt out of bounds... Unless he completely misses the angle, it'd still be a long distance with no return.
  9. No offense to Haack but they should let him have a chance elsewhere. Unless Araiza is really dumb and uncoachable, he'll learn to be better with directional kicks, drops in the designed spots, hold for kicks, etc. Punters are mostly genetics first, then refine it with practice. I think he has the genes part down! It's a kind of talent that maybe Haack would have been better this year but you can't risk losing that leg to another team!
  10. My hope would be the see the Colts #1 OL against the Bills #1 defense for one quarter. Let's see if they have finally upgraded against run heavy teams! Not many weaknesses on the Bills D, but that has been a huge one. And the Colts have the best OL. I admit I was glad the Colts didn't make the playoffs last year.
  11. Hey, a man has to save his dollars
  12. This. He played injured, he was a team player, he contributed a lot in 2020 and was decent in 2021, no matter how the "conform or else" fans want to push their agenda. Father Time and football have taken their toll. If he was as good as in 2019 he would have stayed a Bill, and be hired by now. The vaxx has made way too many people lose their mind.
  13. Is just me that would gladly take a league minimum payout? Damn
  14. Ha sweet mob justice. The 'tanking' accusation is no proof! No matter how you want to believe in it, it takes some proof. Yet IDK why the NFL doesn't address this like the NHL, with a "draft lottery". There is indeed way too much a temptation in the NFL to lose for the bottom teams
  15. Don't be so sure. 95% of it yeah Belicheat and co don't learn much. But that extra 5% is why they would watch it. Even when they do all the work themselves, 95% is going through the motion to have the basics down and find that extra 5%.
  16. At least he got beat up a bit. He sure deserved it. The guy with the horn made me laugh though ha ha.
  17. You're getting nothing but "homer hatred" here ha ha. Josh is as scary but all 3 can vouch for that #1 spot. He didn't say "I'd trade Josh for Rodgers or Mahomes", calm down LOL
  18. Every time I saw the name I thought, that guy is STILL playing? Now I know he's the son ha ha. If they pay him and again load their salary cap or trade him and lose that talent, either way the Chiefs won't be as strong, so win-win for the Bills
  19. He was soooo good in the run game. He and Shady were MONEY. But regardless of his mental issues, he likely was beat up physically too, he's no spring chicken.
  20. TV is THE biggest money maker for the NFL. They will NEVER have a complete off week, let alone two, when they could have more TV time, more prime time slots, etc. But 18 games, 2 buy weeks, 2 pregames, it's totally doable. It would benefit the league, the teams, the TV networks, the players it just makes sense.
  21. I totally agree with May Day 10, Of course, these guys are paid kings ransom and treated well if t hey produce, by the team and fans. But they are also often treated coldly, and these extra "family" steps go a long way. Why I like about McDermott's approach, is that he treats like men, while making it obvious it's a business with all the cold side to it, accountability matters, you have to be a pro, etc. Some coaches tend to be too authoritarian while others too lax. He has the right balance.
  22. Let's face it. Last year and even more so, THIS year, it has a total "SuperBowl or Bust" vibe. But it is true that Josh is "must see TV". As Bills fans, we can have it all this year! Think of that Chiefs playoff game. While extremely entertaining, like one of the best ever, it sure left a sour taste. They must WIN. But they won't do it with a boring style.
  23. IMO, those have been GOOD changes. Did you notice a lowering of the quality of players and plays? This was just player abuse by coaches from an ingrained culture that caused way more concussions and shortened careers. For not much upside if any. It's like the people complaining how "soft" the game has become because defensive players can't clothesline and aim for the head anymore. Oh yeah, it's such a gentle sport now... Do I like all the changes? Nope. But I agree with most of them.
  24. I wondered if he would be inducted. To me he is the best OL I've ever seen. But his career was pretty short. But as talent goes, no doubt he deserves it. Edit: weird the "one game" comments. Boselli dominated in his career, period. Of course, Bruce got handled that one playoff game and it's Boselli's highlight, but it's not just for that ONE game! BTW, why do coaches let players ego get in the way? Boselli would remain LT in all plays, but Bruce could be moved along the line!
