I guess like many I'm simply a fan of symmetry ha ha. And 12 out of 32 teams going to the playoffs meant it was HARD. Just ask... us Bills fans ha ha. But it's changed, so, moot point. Hopefully they don't go the 16 teams in the playoff route. I recall when the NHL had 16 out of 21 team doing so. The regular season meant (and still does mean) nothing. What makes the NFL great is the intensity. The season is short yet feels so long as the energy is cranked to 11 for months.

The good and the bad (just one each) for you in this game
Jerome007 replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The D was obviously stellar. Wow. Dominant as can be. I looooove the fact that while Josh has struggled these last 2 games he is still a stud, still a force, still dangerous. And a run game alive and kicking just in time for the playoffs. -
When does the Wildcard games schedule come out?
Jerome007 replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
Monday night seems such a disadvantage for the winner of that game. It makes no sense. Edit: The earlier we know the better, that's for sure -
This should have been Mitch Trubisky time
Jerome007 replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah but he didn't start. Would YOU not start for a mere 2.5 M? You'd be insulted of course, like all of us. Right? 🙄 -

I actually have yelled that at my TV many times ha ha -
And WHO are these bad 'young new fangled analytics driven coaches' exactly? That supposedly can't talk to players and media? Who has won... what, the Superbowl? Is that the only criteria here? Who says people "dissing this guy for his old man ideas" are all young bucks? Ha ha. He is the one making the accusation, not the "young bucks" dissing him. Do I think tons of young guys and gals are entitled brats that didn't pay their dues, and can't indeed talk to people without a phone or computer? Actually, I do ha ha. But he is talking about current NFL coaches. I just don't see it. Give us names, it might be true, I don't exactly follow all 32 coaches. But I fail to see how a young coach that can't relate to players would survive in the NFL!

Matt Ryan receives fine for taunting Bills
Jerome007 replied to Its Allen the hips's topic in The Stadium Wall
While making a stupid rule, then let's double down! Well, that's been quite the trend of late so I guess it's fine to fine -
Dude has thrown only 4 INT all year, 13-1 as a starter, GB are the top team in the whole league. So yeah, he has a point. That journalist shouldn't vote anymore if he openly says by summer he had decided not to vote for him. WTH is that? Think of all the off season drama, and in the first game they were DESTROYED. Yet they finish on top. Crazy.

@Bills HC Sean McDermott (was) on @gmfb
Jerome007 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's among the top guys that "get it". Not the boring overbearing cold and distant disciplinarian, he treats his men like men. Yet he won't tolerate outright chaos and clowning like a Rex Ryan. -
Lee Smith and Dawson Knox mic’d up for Bills vs Falcons
Jerome007 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
The video was full of pure goodwill and bonding. Good stuff. -
Unless I missed it completely, players weren't pissed to play an extra game? Are they paid more or the same as per agreed to for a full season. whether 16 or 17 games? I'd like that to, but since they won't start on Labor Day weekend... nor before, because of ratings, it means the extra week would mean this regular season would have ended January 16th. That's a LOT of winter games for northern teams.

Wonderlic Test Eliminated from Pre-Draft Process
Jerome007 replied to Wayne Cubed's topic in The Stadium Wall
They are supposed to be confidential? Ha ha. I didn't know that... since we indeed know about them every year. Anyway, intelligence and quick decision making ARE part of being a QB. I don't think Peyton and Brady made a career because of their "amazing" athletic abilities. Let's face it, we get a quick that Josh is super athletic yet ALSO scored high on that test. -
Well that OL and Chubb are awesome. It's weird that Baker was by far the most "NFL ready" of the 2018 QBs. He just has plateaued out quickly for some reason. He's still a good starter. BTW that's what I feared with Josh. Not that he'd be a bust, but that he'd be in the "good/very good but not elite" category. You're often stuck with these guys. Thankfully he has been... elite Lamar could turn out to be a contract nightmare because of injuries and limitations, but as of now, they have to sign him. I don't wish bad on the players... but it'd sure help the Bills if both these guys sign huge contracts and are disappointments...

I'm NOT one on the "fire McD" bandwagon... but I was pissed when McD threw the challenge flag. So I had to eat some crow reading your post ha ha.

Have you tried to help an adult with mental issues? Nothing you can do. Most people try at first than give up. I know. He surely had had way more chances than most people. And while it's bad we can't help them more, it's better this way then force somebody against their will to get treatment as the abuse potential would be way too great.

Week 17, Falcones v. Bills, 01/02/22 - GAME BALLS
Jerome007 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
OLine was awesome today! Their best game, by far. Lots of time to throw for Josh, lanes opened. Singletarry also made a few great cutbacks away from his blockers for big gains. Phillips has been a quiet steady force on defense for a while now. In a game that Josh had a bad stretch passing, isn't it awesome he can run it himself, and that team could run it? -
Even if no teams have tanked on purpose, you never want it to happen - or even think it could happen. Draft lottery just makes sense, at least for the 1st round. Make sure that the worst teams have greatly increased odds to still pick first or early but yeah, it is needed.

Truth. But then you limit someone else. No easy solutions. But nice problem to have!

A Few Thoughts about the Cheatriots Game, in no particular order
Jerome007 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
And THAT followed a holding call that Hughes created. It was really... weird ha ha -
Indeed. But it has varied a lot from game to game anyway. Sometimes according to the gameplan, sometimes just how it came about. I'm sure McK was designed to get more shots last game... but not THAT much. Sometimes it happens. WRs are stacked for the Bills.

Did Josh Allen go rogue on the 4th and 1 run.
Jerome007 replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall
IDK why it rattles people. Flutie was indeed "slippery", rarely took a big hit, had great pocket awareness. Is Josh a much better more complete QB? Hell yeah. But Flutie has this strength, only haters feel this need to vent all these years later. And so far, Allen has won many such short battles too. Both have this amazing will to win. -
We mostly see highlights of other teams, the big plays, the big fails. "National media" always give big praises or the same downpoints. But local fans and journalists see the minor yet annoying quirks, criticize more, the small stuff, etc. It must be annoying to players and staff but it is what it is. Annoying as often a lot is true, but fans and journalists somehow act like if elsewhere it's all perfect or all bad. Case in point: the OL blamed on Beane all the time. As if great offensive linemen are just sitting on a shelf, waiting to get picked or drafted by the Bills GM. EVERY team has weaknesses. All of them.
