  1. I like Josh a lot, but I'm not all in yet. I need to see a series of games with some solid accuracy -- especially on the short routes. I'm not saying he can't do it, but he's only been back for a week. These next 6 games will be very telling for him and I don't mean that he has to carry the team with this OL struggling and no premier WR's to throw to, but he has to look steady.
  2. How do we know that wasn't the real reason that Richie was released and they agreed to let him retire on his terms while just n ot saying anything about the investigation? Maybe, since McDermott was clearly upset by the accusations, the Bills just decided that he was not a good fit. No one else signed Richie and he was still a probowl caliber guard.
  3. You know, that doesn't sound as completely crazy as it might have a month or 2 ago. Shady for Bell straight up or something like that???
  4. Darn it! There goes our back door to the playoffs LOL.
  5. Marone hired him. This is his 3rd regime. I've never been very impressed with him. His record in the NFL before Buffalo (Detroit) was dismal too. I don't think they'll fire him before the end of the season, but he's definitely on the bubble. On a related note, Daboll has a very real opportunity to save his job if the offense continues to improve.
  6. Hackett was a failure here and he fared no better in Jacksonville. Marone was a fool to rehire him. He was also a fool to agree to resign Bortles. Add the huge contract to one of the laziest players in the NFL in Dareus and we have a franchise headed in reverse. The real question is, will these moves save Marone's job? Will they have a new GM going forward or do they stand pat and hope for 2017 to happen again with a new QB under center? If they draft a new QB, they eat that big salary to Dareus whom they signed to win it all in 2018 and 2019 while the rookie develops. The owner has some difficult decisions to make after this season.
  7. Does that "worse" supporting cast include the #2 defense in the NFL or are we not taking them into consideration?
  8. I don't think +6 vs Miami is all that surprising. Josh still needs to put a complete game together. Having a running QB is OK until he gets hurt. He needs to put together a 65% completion rate game and show good accuracy short, medium and deep. He needs to be able to beat good teams with his passing game. Until he does that, we will not be highly regarded.
  9. Shhhhhh! Listen! Anybody hear J Ramsey shooting off his big mouth? Me neither.
  10. Of course I would. Josh still has a very long way to go to get to where Mahomes is and there's no guarantee that he'll ever get there. Besides, Mahomes' natural accuracy is something Josh may never have.
  11. I hope my grandchildren don't grow up to be like him. That's all I have to say about JRamsey.
  12. Perhaps, but when healthy, he is above average. I think that if his health is going to be an ongoing concern, he could be gone. Still, we don't need to create more holes in this roster. We already have far too many.
  13. Josh is not good at all right now. Maybe we can consider this question in a year or 2.
  14. Meanwhile, the Sabres have won 6 straight games and moved up to 3rd in the division.
  15. He's still not playing up to his potential. We can find better ways to spend the money next year. I know our OL will struggle to contain their DL and many will be whining about moving him, but we will come out ahead in the end.
  16. I think this whole 'death of the defenses' thing is overblown. The rate of scoring in the NFL has actually made TD's seem a bit less exciting except for the Bills. They need to bring back the bump and run to save the game IMO. It's just not as fun to watch as it was when I was young. The challenge is gone with teams regularly scoring 40 and even 50 points in a single game. Yawn...
  17. We will also need a couple players on defense, but surrounding Allen with talent is obviously our primary goal. I just don't know who we'll draft because the FA period will start before the draft and no one knows this early on who we'll be able to sign.
  18. Well, if he auditions like preseason Peterman, he'll have a new job. If he auditions like regular season Peterman, he'll be looking for a job in whatever he majored in and probably end up settling for far less like most recent college grads.
  19. He'll be gone by the time we pick. we will 4 or 5 games this season and I believe the Jets and Raiders will pick ahead of us.
  20. Josh Allen's progress is the single most important factor in this team's future success or failure. If sitting him on the bench is the best way to help him, then fine, but Barkley is definitely not our future. He's had numerous chances to prove himself and wasn't even able to make the Bengals' roster as a backup. One good game does not erase all of that.
  21. We will be signing our new starting CB after the season ends. I doubt Levi is the answer, but I hope he turns out to be a surprise.
  22. Good observations. Foster actually did a great job tracking the ball on Sunday -- especially that one he came back for. I hope that becomes a habit for him.
  23. Our OL was ranked around 24th overall a week ago by PFF. This could bump them up by 4 or 5 spots. We still need a new C and OT, though. Maybe a G too. As far as Zay goes, I just hope this game marks a turning point for him.
