  1. The Bills will be spectators.
  2. Who cares? How about who can hit a bullseye on a moving target? That has a lot more to do with being a good QB than just arm strength.
  3. It's not like defense is completely irrelevant. Just ask the Chiefs after that AFC Championship loss. Still, offense seems to be the way to go and that is clearly where we need the most help -- especially on the OL. I'd put coaching in a tie with scouting and a solid GM. Gotta have the horses to win the race.
  4. I sincerely hope we trade down and get our franchise LT, then draft a C and WR on day 2 where we can get solid value without saying that they weren't the BPA. Then again, everything will change before draft day anyways. It always does.
  5. The reason we traded down and didn't take Mahomes is that Whaley and his scouts didn't do a good job assessing his ability. Everyone seems to want to blame McDermott. McD isn't a scout. It's not his job to assess talent. Had they given a more accurate assessment of Mahomes' potential, he'd be our QB today.
  6. No one will touch the halftime show because of the NFL's ridiculous stonewalling of Kaepernick and the legitimate protests protected by the constitution.
  7. Bortles sucks. He's worse than Josh Allen. Why in the world would we even want him???
  8. I never watch unless the Bills are involved anyways, but how boring to watch the Patriots in the SB. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz…...
  9. I thought Tony Green was the best.
  10. This seems odd. I'm happy for him, but I thought the knock on him was that he never learned the playbook.
  11. I don't knw if we should sign him to a big contract. I'd rather save that money for a LT, C or WR on offense or DT, CB or LB on defense.
  12. I was amazed when they took him over Rosen. Admittedly Rosen had a difficult rookie year, but his accuracy is way, way better than Allen's and he's still a rookie. I just don't see a very bright future for our Josh. Sooner or later, Bills fans will start to realize this. I can't believe they thought he'd be #3 overall. Have they actually watched where most of his passes end up? He misses receivers by 5 ft when they are only 20 ft away from him.
  13. Just imagine if he could throw accurately on a consistent basis! He'd be pretty good.
  14. Not bad, OP, but we aren't drafting a PK. The reason Hauschka struggled at the end of the season (obviously)was the lower back injury. I'm thinking we might grab a new punter in round 6 or 7, though.
  15. It's nice having elite athletes on your team, but I just wish we had an elite QB instead. I just hope he can find a way to get better accuracy from his throwing arm to go along with his arm strength. I've never seen that done, though. Maybe Josh will be the first ever. Arm accuracy is something that you either wake up with or you don't. Can Josh Allen be the exception to the rule?
  16. Chan was a great OC. His big problems were that he fell in love with bad QB's and when he was in Buffalo, we had the worst defense ever. He was a brilliant playcaller, which is an underappreciated art in the NFL today. He was the only OC in the NFL that knew how to make Spiller a huge threat. I was frankly surprised that the Jets didn't sign CJ while Chan was there. He should be 66 or 67 right now, so he may be retired for good.
  17. I hope he has the good sense to retire while his body is still in reasonably good shape so he can enjoy life after football.
  18. True, but once you add those extra pounds, it gets so much harder to take them off. Not only that, but as my doctor says, "Taking the extra pounds off is the easy part. Keeping them off is a real challenge. Your body naturally seeks it's highest weight." I should add that taking the extra pounds off isn't easy at all. I lost nearly 50 lbs within the last 2 years and put it all back on. I had to just stay hungry all the time to lose that weight. It was driving me crazy being so hungry all the time.
  19. I know I said it's too early, but this is interesting. Bills take Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida. I like the pick.
  20. Overpaid. He had some good moments, but he's still way overpaid.
  21. Throw accurate passes on a consistent basis.
  22. I want a franchise LT and C at the very least. I don't care how we get them.
  23. He's a DE and we already have 3 fairly good ones on the roster. Makes no sense.
  24. Mock drafts are pointless now. We have a lot of money for FA's, so we don't even know what holes we'll have at draft time. That said, we can't go wrong with OL help unless 3 very good OL shake loose, but that's unlikely with the league wide OL talent drought. I don't think Phillips was all that great as a rookie. He wasn't terrible, but I think we can do better without breaking the budget and a beast of a DT wouldn't hurt us any with our perennially poor run defense.
  25. Well, there goes my answer. Kelley would be the obvious choice. Everyone else would be a distant 2nd.
