  1. We need a guy that has a big catch radius because Josh's weakness is his accuracy. Go for the guy with the ability to make the tough, off-target catches.
  2. I agree with this 100%. This is far and away our #1 priority. I'd love to see 3 new starters on the OL with a 1st round pick at LT and Dawkins at RT. Teller should start at one G position with a new starting G at the other and a new starting C. It might take a few games for the new line to gel, but it is necessary, IMHO. Even WR is not as urgent a need with the emergence of Foster and Jones. That's not to say that WR isn't a high priority, but OL is still #1. A young RB to challenge Ivory would be good too. Also, TE could be an option if Clay doesn't rebound in 2019. On defense, we need to determine if Harry Phillips can fill Kyle's shoes or we need to get a new starter at DT. Another starting CB might be in the offing, but Wallace might also be sufficient for now. I wouldn't just write the need for CB off completely just yet, however. It's too soon. In any event, we need to improve our pass rush somehow.
  3. Allen??? His 53% completion rate leads the league, right? We were #1 against the pass and the QB misses on 47% of his throws and everyone votes for the QB. Oh how desperate we must be for a decent QB!
  4. How about the sound of a charging her of bisons instead?
  5. Sounds about right. Sooner or later, Bills fans will realize that his "scattershot accuracy" is a serious liability. People are just so desperate for a franchise QB and he's a 1st round pick, so he's getting an over-long honeymoon. How long will it last? I mean, there are people on here claiming that Rosenthall "didn't watch" Josh play at all and he's just "going by the numbers." Really? You were tracking Rosenthall's every move? SMH...
  6. Comeback Player of the Year - Lorenzo Offensive Rookie of the Year - Foster Defensive Rookie of the Year - Wallace Team ROY - Wallace Defensive MVP - Lorenzo Offensive MVP - No one qualifies IMO. Roll the dice. Team MVP - Lorenzo Let's face it. 2 UDFA rookies outperformed everyone that we drafted (Wallace, Foster). Lorenzo was EASILY the best player on the field for us in 2018. No one on offense really stood out. Foster was just OK, but that was as good or better than anyone else on that side of the ball. We need to retool the OL before anything else this offseason or 2019 will be a very difficult season as well.
  7. I think Mills, Bodine and Miller can all be easily replaced and upgraded. Also, Mills is not average. He is well below average and wouldn't even make a number of rosters. Why do people think he's average anyways?
  8. I'll be upset if they just let Clay walk. I'm pretty sure there is another team in the NFL that would give something to have him on their roster. I have a hunch that Benjamin and Clay were discouraged by the fact that Allen's passing was so inaccurate. Benjamin even tweeted about that in the preseason regarding Cam, whose accuracy is considerably better than Josh's. Benjamin was just going through the motions like Clay. They don't want to be in Buffalo any longer. I wonder if that will impact our ability to sign WR's in FA.
  9. You also need to consider the positions. Inexperience at RB is a non-issue, for example. OL experience could make a difference or at WR. Trading down and picking up another 2nd or 3rd might allow us to get one of the top interior OL in the draft. for example. I don't know who's who, but they generally get picked later than the OT's.
  10. I hope you're right, but I suspect his inaccuracy lies in his natural arm talent and muscle coordination there. I think it's something you wake up with or you don't, not something learned. Experience and surrounding talent will raise his % some, but I don't see him hitting a very high % ever. He is inaccurate at all levels -- short, mid and long. I just don't think you can fix that. I've never seen it fixed in any other QB either.
  11. I admit that this comes as a very pleasant surprise. I've been down on him all year, but this gives me hope.
  12. Any QB that can barely complete half of the passes he throws will never throw for 4000 yards in a season.
  13. They will try, but can they attract a true #1? Is a true #1 even going to be available? They'd have to mortgage the ranch to get Antonio Brown. I'm not sure I want that. If we had a QB with great accuracy, then maybe I'd go for that trade.
  14. So why is none of this listed on the Bills website? Crossman should have been the first to go.
  15. On D, I think we need an outside CB and a penetrating, pass rushing DT. Maybe Harry can step it up, but as of now, I don't see him as the answer for Kyle's departure.
  16. I mostly agree, but I'm still very much playing wait and see with Edmunds and Allen. I think you're way overly optimistic there. They each had some great moments as rookies, but also had some terrible weaknesses. Allen completed less than 53% of his passes. That's just not going to be good enough. He needs to raise his completion % by 10% or he will soon be forgotten. Edmunds needs to learn how to stuff RB's without getting stuck on blocks and caught in the wash so easily. He needs better instincts. I hope they can both get it done in year 2, though. They're good kids and they are our future, rain or shine. That said, I like McDermott, but feel Bene needs to prove himself.
  17. My take is that McDermott made some rookie mistakes that he did not repeat in year 2. Let's see how he does with more talent in year 3. It will be a challenge with so many new faces coming in. I still like him, his attitude and his willingness to take the heat for this season in cap hell. To me, Beane is the one that is more on the hot seat. Allen and Edmunds were spotty this year. Granted they are both rookies and did have their moments, but several LB's outperformed Edmunds in their rookie years and Allen's accuracy problems haven't gone away. I just hope those 2 guys can straighten out their game in year 2. This offseason will again be huge for Beane. I pray he is up to the task. A down year for several FA's and a weak draft class could be his undoing. He needs to rebound a bit.
  18. What the heck is wrong with him anyways? Kid has gotten soft in the head.
  19. LT, DT or CB. I'd prefer taking the best OT, if their favorite one is still there. Edge rusher is my surprise pick here, but I doubt it. Even a WR or TE would be better.
  20. 1 year deal? OK. 1 less hole to fill and he's still playing fairly well.
  21. We'll still sign some average FA's if they are an upgrade. Several positions on the OL and at WR and TE could be upgraded with just average talent. I wouldn't be surprised to see us sign as many as 5 new starters on offense with maybe 2 of them being significant upgrades and the rest, smaller upgrades.
  22. Probably not, but I suspect they will be looking to fill the holes at OL, WR, TE, CB and DT first under the belief that they can still get decent production from Shady and Ivory. I suspect they might use a day 3 pick or bring in some UDFA's to compete there after filling those holes mentioned above. Of course, that all depends who shakes loose in FA. Would they pay Le'Veon Bell what he's asking? Would he even want to play here?
  23. I was pleasantly surprised. After all, his job is not to penetrate and make plays, but to tie up blockers so the LB's behind him can make plays. In order to take full advantage of him, however, young T Edmunds must step up his run defense and tackling in year 2. He has a lot of work to do in that department, but he certainly has the physical tools. His football IQ, on the other hand, is lacking. Star is giving him every advantage.
