  1. Too bad. He would have been our best OL by a mile. I don't see any G's in FA that are in his class either. Slightly above average???
  2. I can already see that 2019 will not live up to the expectations of many posters. Allen has terrible accuracy. There are no really good WR's, DT's or TE's available in FA. Beane's 1st and only draft looks pretty mediocre so far. I do expect the Bills to be improved in 2019, but only by a little bit.
  3. Seriously? He used a pair of 1dt round picks on a QB that can't throw straight and a MLB that's very questionable as well. He's had only 1 draft and he paid Lotulelei twice what he's worth. The most optimist answer I can give at this point is "Wait and see." At this point, it doesn't look very good for him. Why are some people STILL crediting "McBeane" for the 2017 draft when Whaley and his scouts owned it? Beane wasn't even hired until AFTER that draft and McDermott didn't run it. SMH...
  4. The Raiders only gave up a 3rd and a 5th? The Steelers will be lucky if they even get an average starter out of those picks. I'm very surprised Beane turned that down.
  5. Perhaps Beane asked for a letter of intent from AB and couldn't get it. Just a guess, but in a trade of this magnitude, I think that would be a smart move.
  6. I think a couple teams will go for a QB and we'll go BPA and get Kyle's succesor Ed Oliver. If they go WR, my bet is Metcalf. If they go OT, maybe Taylor or Williams. I suspect they will sign an OT and C in FA and get Oliver, then draft a WR (Campbell?) in the 2nd. I think we'll have trouble getting FA WR's to come to Buffalo until Allen can start placing the ball more accurately so they aren't always having to adjust so much to catch it. I also suspect that K Benjaman and C Clay were discouraged by this as well and just wanted out. Bottom line, we have to run the ball way better in 2019 because we aren't going to win many games with Allen throwing 30 or more passes. We must become a run first offense and be able to move the chains.Allen can give us a few spectacular plays with his legs and strong arm, but you can't put your offense on him like you can with Brady or Mahomes.
  7. I'm not at all surprised this deal didn't go through. I don't blame Beane for trying, but at age 30, AB's skills will be on the decline going forward. I also doubt guys like AB or even Tyrell Williams even want to come here. I know I'll get flamed for it, but why would a WR want to play with a QB that throws so many off target passes? I think the Jets would have a better shot at it.
  8. Only for the right price, but he'd be a definite upgrade over Murphy and Shaq. I was hoping he'd shake loose last year. Why not offer them Trent Murphy and a 3rd? That probably wouldn't do it, but that's as far as I'd go.
  9. 2 independent views: On a PFF draft review, one of the 2 reviewers was very high on Teller while also saying Edmunds should have been a day 3pick. I don't know if you have any faith in Madden raters, but his overall rating went from 60-something to 75 by season's end while Miller's is a 74.
  10. Robert James -- The most underrated Buffalo Bill of all time.
  11. I think DK's stock went up after the combine. As far as the pick at 9 is concerned, I hope it's Ed Oliver.
  12. How can any team be in "strong pursuit" of him before the 13th? Isn't that against league rules? What is allowed before the FA period starts with him? For the record, I consider T Williams an average to good starting WR, but nowhere near elite. Let's hope DK is there at 9 and he can live up to the hype. I see that some posters aren't sold on Metcalf, though.
  13. All 3 got off to a slow start to their careers, but came on when their rookie contracts were almost expired. I'm not saying they are going to turn out like Dareus, but that does make me suspicious. I don't want the Bills to trade away any day 1 or 2 picks either.
  14. Just curious. What's your beef with Teller?
  15. Heck, let's just get crazy. Sign Zeitler, Paradis, Saffold and Williams LOL. Oh and all at the right price while we're dreaming about it. I'd be delirious and so would Shady. Draft WR in the 1st and a RB in the 2nd or 3rd. Please don't wake me up from this dream before the 13th.
  16. Paradis is one of the best C's in the NFL. I can't think of a better one besides Frederick or Hudson. Am I overlooking anyone? To put this in perspective, I plugged in Madden 19 and Bodine is rated a 71 overall. Paradis is rated a 88. If we're going to overpay for anyone in FA, let it be him. Let's get our ground attack going again.
  17. Ryquell Armstead on day 3. He's a FB that has also played RB and had a 1,000 yard season for Temple. He'd be a nice upgrade at FB. He only weighs about 225, though. He might need to add a few lbs to be a more effective lead blocker, but he could be more effective as an occasional runner and receiver than DiMarco. I'd like to also see day 3 picks for a punter and a really good return man if there is someone. Gunners can be value picks in rounds 6 and 7 too. I think Steve Tasker proved that.
  18. Move Lo to DE? Maybe, but he's listed at 245. Do you think he'd want to add 10-20 lbs for 1 last season? I don't know if he'd be too thrilled about that move since he just had what was arguably his best season. I'd still like to have Barr for the long term, though.
  19. Hockenson can catch, run and block. He's not going to blow you away with speed, but he still has the tools to be an effective weapon for Allen. Additionally, I think that getting the ground attack going again should be a top priority and that starts up front. We're not going to win a lot of games with Josh Allen throwing the ball more than 30 times. We've got to be able to pound the rock.
  20. It's Bills or never mind, but I do like to see former Bills doing well with their new teams.
  21. Quinn had a decent season, but I wouldn't overpay him since Hughes is better and Quinn is not much better than Murrphy or Shaq. I'd pay for an elite talent at LDE, but Quinn is no longer elite. Injuries have taken their toll on him.
  22. I'd love to see Josh Sitton here!
  23. Multiple injuries already. His numbers are insane, but he kinda reminds me of CJ -- great in college, but only 1 great year in the NFL.
  24. Much ado about nothing. Of course he understands this.
