  1. I remember back to back 1-13 seasons under HC Harvey Johnson, but I don't track the betting spreads much.
  2. 18/40, 210 yds. 0 TD, 3 INT. I like Josh, but we are severely overmatched against that defense. He'll have 50+ yards scrambling or running for his life, if you prefer.
  3. I'm not even going to judge T Murphy until he's 100%. Davis certainly was a risk. I'd wager that they held back on purpose to set up next offseason when it really matters. And I'm OK with Star as long as the run defense plays like it did in the 2nd half vs the Bolts.
  4. The national media always does this. They get a very shallow analysis by someone that doesn't follow the team and everyone else just pukes up the same crap. Some will try to be different by throwing someone else under the bus like calling McDermott a racist when he and Beane just enjoyed an MVP season from Cam. That jerk at the NY Post needs to give a MUCH better explanation or give McDermott an apology. Remember -- That was Waley's draft when they traded up for Jones. McD certainly had some input like every HC does, but Beane hadn't even been hired yet. Also, a HC doesn't watch all that tape like a GM does. He just tells the GM what he wants and the GM goes by his board.
  5. Rivers is solid, but he's not elite at all. He can't carry a team like Brady or Peyton and the Chargers just haven't nailed a high enough percentage of their draft picks. They aren't that far off though.
  6. I definitely agree with health insurance, but that should be for everyone, not just athletes.
  7. I gotta disagree with you on Allen's game. Forget the numbers. He was extremely erratic with his accuracy. I still hold out hope for him, but that has to improve greatly or he will go the way of EJ. I think he's getting a free pass as well just on that part of his game. On the other hand, I think you may have understated tne resurgence of the defense. That's my take anyway.
  8. Neither. We desperately need a franchise LT and C way more than we need either of those guys.
  9. I REALLY hope you're wrong and I know you do too, but he missed BADLY on a lot of throws -- even several completions were pulled in by great catches on bad throws. He's lucky he didn't throw more picks. That simply must change a lot for the better or he will be watching the NFL on TV like the rest of us sooner rather than later. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. He still has a lot to prove.
  10. We need to upgrade this OL at OT, C and 1 G position. Period.
  11. I just heard a group on NFL network say this would be an incredibly lop sided win and that the Bills should use the "mercy rule" to just end the game to end their suffering.
  12. Looks good to me except omitting White. I think the his numbers, along with Hyde and Poyer, will keep improving if McDermott keeps calling the plays on defense.
  13. You left out the part about the rookie QB and the HUGE cap space we'll have next year, but didn't have this year. You also neglected to mention that they (and many others) knew all along that this year was written off when they dumped all those overpaid underachievers. From where I sit, the biggest concern moving forward is the accuracy of Josh Allen's throws. He'll learn from this season, but he had some really ugly misses last Sunday and they weren't all about pressure either. I really hope working on his mechanics fixes this issue.
  14. I want us to use our first 2 picks on a LT (Move Dawkins to RT.) and a C. Let Teller start and everyone else fight for the other G spot and maybe add a FA G to the mix. I hope they trade down.
  15. He's just trying to attract attention to himself. Notice that he didn't mention how upset the coach was about Richie spewing racist crap during the playoff game. Perhaps he hasn't noticed that Richie is gone. Cheap shots sell newspapers.
  16. Teams seldom let solid OL walk these days, so the draft is going to have to be heavy on OL. I think drafting our new starting LT andC at a minimum. WR, CB and any other needs should be addressed as much as possible through FA. As far as the immediate future goes, I can't see any help coming. If we have the top pick, I'll be upset if we don't try to trade down. In any case, if they don'r draft the best OT in the draft and a top 3 C, next year will be difficult also.
  17. That's because they haven't got a clue. We're half way through a total organizational rebuild top to bottom. Give them a year or 2 to catch up.
  18. Not really. I fully expect 0-4, though I'm also glad we played better in the 2nd half of that Bolts game. Maybe McDermott needs to start calling the plays on defense from now on. They actually played very well in the 2nd half against a good offense. Gotta hand it to Lorenzo too. I thought his age would really show this year and it just might, but right now, he's playing very well. Horrible Harry is looking good so far as well.
  19. He is clearly the worst player on that OL, followed by Mills. I really want to see us move Dawkins to RT and use our 1st pick in the 2019 draft on a LT, then draft a new C on day 2. I hope PFF is right about Teller. That would leave Ducasse and Miller to slug it out for the other G spot unless they sign a G in FA or draft OT, G and C in the same draft. They might just do that too. I think we can fill in WR. CB and LB in FA.
  20. Got to be the OL because that's where we have the least talent and it's also where there is likely to be the least talent available in FA. We still are going to really need a WR that can take the top off the defense to make the best use of Allen's arm strength and open things up underneath for shorter routes, possession receivers and the run game.
  21. 3. Lorenzo and Hughes played well. 4. Harry Phillips looks decent early on. 5. Josh Allen didn't get killed.
  22. In cae no one has noticed, Harry Phillips has played pretty well.
  23. It looks like his career is finished. I understand why they took a chance on him, but the injuries have taken their toll. Good guy and once a great player, but no longer.
  24. WR's and CB's are a lot more available than good OL, right? There are very few quality OL in the NFL right now.
