PFWA names Belichick as NFL executive of the year

A modest improvement that doesn't deserve a reward. What rebuild? Do you just mean post-Brady? -

He signed a lot more than just those two TE's, with little to show for it. -

What did he do besides massively overspending on a boat load of free agents? -
I would give Daboll and big raise and try to keep him
MJS replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
He can always come back and be offensive coordinator for the Bills if he flames out with whatever team hires him. We're going to have some coaches hired away in the coming years. Some of them won't make it work and will come back to Buffalo. That's fine. Keep the pipeline of coaching and GM talent full and keep churning out quality candidates. -
Nathaniel Hackett is getting 2nd interview with Jags🤣🤣
MJS replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only positive with Hackett is the possibility that Rodgers comes with him, which is admittedly a big positive for many teams. But I'm sure Rodgers likes Hackett because Rodgers wears the pants in that relationship and Hackett just lets him do whatever he wants on offense. It's hard to put a lot of stock into the potential quality of an offensive coach when they have an all-time great QB playing for them, in my opinion. You just never know how good or bad they are. -
You hire the right coach regardless of what side of the ball they coach on. Bill Belichick is one of the greatest coaches ever and came from defense. John Harbaugh is a great coach and came from special teams. And tons of coaches get hired form the offensive side and flame out. It's not about what side of the ball you come from.

He is MORE prolific at converting 3rd downs by throwing it to Kelce or a other player.

Wrong like usual. You are on a roll.

Because then you lose a guy from coverage AND from pass rushing.

Better team comp - early to mid 2000's Colts?
MJS replied to bigfootindy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not to mention that the list of QB's to win the Superbowl on their rookie deal is much shorter than the list of QB's who did not. You have Mahomes and Wilson from the past decade or more and that's it. The rest were established QB's. Maybe you could include the Eagles because Wentz was on a rookie contract, but he didn't play at all that post-season. Foles did. -

MJS replied to bigfootindy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great comp, honestly. The Chiefs are obviously the new Patriots. All the other good teams in the AFC will need to find ways to beat them in the playoffs if they want their own shot at a superbowl. Fans are pretty down thinking that we lost our opportunity for a Superbowl, but there are more opportunities in the future for sure. -
Do you want KC to cruise to the Super Bowl title?
MJS replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall
Or what? -
If Brady retires, would you want Gronk for one season here?
MJS replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gronk isn't even Gronk anymore. -
That would be $10.4 million dollars over his first 4 years. Not too shabby. I think he has made about $12 million so far, so that's not too different.

Just a ridiculous take. You really like to make statements of finality, don't you? -

Going to the Superbowl and losing badly would be nice. I don't like the Chiefs. -
What are the top three worst losses in franchise history?
MJS replied to VaMilBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. To get to the Superbowl just to lose. That's way more impactful to me than a divisional round game. Heck, last year getting to the championship game just to lose by multiple scores was more impactful for me. -
Josh Allen is a future HOFer. There I said it...
MJS replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Which is exactly what I said. If you don't get the rings, you need big time accumulated stats. -
Harrison Phillips Didn't Know the Bills were 0-6 in One-Score Games?!?
MJS replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall
Players focus on one game at a time. They move on to the next game. This is the kind of stuff that fans and the media focus on, not players.- 15 replies

That puts the Saints behind in their HC search. He should have done this earlier.

That would be amazing.

But they are. Are you saying they aren't? -
I think Bills fans should go seek out some comments from other fanbases and national sources. Bills fans are demoralized after the loss, but this was a game that amazed everyone outside of Buffalo. Here are some fun comments that I found on highlight videos from the game: "This game was insane! Both teams crushed it and should be proud. Definitely one that we will all probably keep going back to and rewatching." "There’s no doubt that these two Quarterbacks will meet each other again in the postseason. What a heck of a game!" "I’m not even a bills or a chiefs fan but this was an amazing game. I felt so sorry for Allen after the bills lost. Gonna be an exciting rivalry" "I’m a jag fan, but this had to be the best week of football I’ve seen in a long time…hats off to all the teams and Josh Allen keep ya head up..you may have lost the game but you won everyone’s respect💯" "This is the new Brady vs Manning. The best QB duel I've ever seen, incredible play from both Mahomes and Allen. Sad there could only be one winner in this game!" "The new brady vs manning rivalry has been born for these two future greats in 2022. This one will be an all time great playoff game to be remembered LITERALLY FOREVER. It was like watching a 26 year old Goku Mahomes against a 25 year old Vegeta Allen 🔥 and for Patrick to stop everything he was doing post game to go hug Josh is what makes this generation of AFC QB1s perhaps the greatest of the past 15 years. Congrats to both organizations, DEFINITELY miss Sean McD in Carolina and Andy Reid is the most celebrated coach not named bellich on the game today, hopefully buffalo will get a ring in the near future as dominant as KC has been." "This game is game of the year. The Super Bowl won’t be this exciting. Amazing job to both teams." The praise doesn't end. Everyone loved the game. Everyone is in love with Allen and Mahomes and excited to see this rivalry going forward. It all hurts as Bills fans, but this is not the end. This is only the beginning. Allen AGAIN found a way to up his game and take it to an entirely different level. Next year we're getting the 1 seed and this game will be played in Orchard Park.
