  1. Chiefs were holding all day on defense too, and it didn't get called at all.
  2. And then they beat the 1 and 2 seeded teams in the playoffs to get to the Superbowl...
  3. What happened to her hair? Did she lose a bet?
  4. Mahomes choked. That wasted time out by Andy Reid in the first half cost them points at the end of the first half as well. Happy to see the Bengals advance. Good for them.
  5. If McDermott wasted a time out like that fans would demand his firing.
  6. They reinstated the skills competitions a few years ago. They included some weird stuff like dodgeball. It's actually pretty fun to watch.
  7. Yeah, I haven't looked at their contracts, so I can't speak to that.
  8. I'd rather trade for Kamara. Their team is in cap purgatory. Their head coach just resigned. They will be rebuilding and dumping some of their high cap players. Kamara is the best receiving back in the NFL. Barkley can't stay healthy, it seems.
  9. It doesn't. Very few QB's have won the Superbowl on rookie deals. There have just been a few prominent ones the past decade or so. Most QB's who win the Superbowl are established QB's not on a rookie deal. This idea is a myth.
  10. This team you are referencing is 50+ players, plus a bunch of coaches, sideline personell, random media people, etc. It's too many people for just the head coach to gather around, plus that stadium is really loud. You have to have a process for communication for each of the units that go out there. In this instance, that process of communication broke down somewhere. You have coordinators for a reason. McDermott got the call to the coordinator, the coordinator got the call to the players. Somehow Bass did not hear or did not understand. It's a big failure of communication. I don't put this on McDermott except that he is the leader and the buck stops with him. However, the defensive play calls afterward certainly he should be more accountable for. I'm sure he was involved more directly in those play calls. If he wasn't and he let Frazier just call it, that's a problem.
  11. With how loud that stadium is, perhaps it was as simple as Bass not hearing the call correctly, or him just incorrectly assuming he was supposed to kick it deep. I think the worse offense was their defensive calls, though. When they kicked it into the end zone I thought "Ok, I guess they didn't want to risk a return. They had a big return earlier. Whatever." But prevent defense? Leaving the middle of the field wide open? That is the true failure here. The Chiefs had three time outs.
  12. Excellent thread titles. Can you come up with a few more?
  13. That's called NFL football. I watch a lot of teams outside of Buffalo and there are mistakes made in every single game. It is the most complex sport in the world.
  14. They'd all want the ball at the same time.
  15. Yes he is. But I would not be opposed to an upgrade.
  16. Especially since Daboll is an offensive coach and everyone would think that any offensive success would stem from Daboll, not his coordinators. The only reason Dorsey would go is if he just absolutely loves Daboll and wants to continue working under him no matter what.
  17. He actually didn't. Comparing divisional win-loss records has shown that the AFC-East was actually a pretty decent division over many of those years, even if you don't consider New England's wins.
  18. Followed by 6 more titled: "Guys, I figured it out! The coaches blew our one shot for a Superbowl!"
  19. The Bills were one of the least desirable landing spots for coaches that year, especially on offense. McDermott hired who he could hire. Who hired Daboll?
  20. Thanks for proving my point. They didn't completely replace their running backs and receivers. This is a simple disagreement on what a rebuild is. In my opinion, what they did should not be considered a rebuild. Feel free to believe otherwise. I have said nothing bad about the Patriots. They were an average team and got themselves to an above average team. That's all. Good for them. Not award worthy in any stretch of the imagination. If you would like to continue to repeat your opinions to me over and over again, go ahead. By this point I'm done. I've made my opinion clear.
  21. Maybe just post your identical opinion in one of the countless other threads that exist on this topic.
  22. You cherry picked a bunch of players and you seem to think that there are 4.3 speed guys growing on trees, or something. The Bills are probably average. Yeah, the Chiefs are probably one of the fastest, if not THE fastest, teams in the NFL. Plus, some of the fastest players to run the 40 turned out to be mediocre or bad football players.
  23. The Patriots didn't completely replace their WR's or their RB's. Not sure why you are even saying that. They added pieces to those two groups for sure. They did sign two new TE's and also drafted a QB. I am not saying the Patriots are terrible. I just don't think they are rebuilding. Bill Belichick has tried to maintain what he has while adding more offensive weapons because their offense has been devoid of talent for a few years, even when Tom Brady was there. They were an average to below average team last season and got themselves to an above average team this season, and a big part of that was getting opt out players back and yes, some of their signings and draft picks. I don't think what Belichick did warrants anything close to an award, especially since a bunch of his signings underperformed. They are not rebuilding. They are trying to maintain what talent they have and add more weapons (basically what every single other team is doing).
  24. Significant roster turnover happens every year for almost every team. Especially bad teams. That doesn't mean they are all undergoing a full rebuild. What team didn't add receivers, TE's, and RB's? What team didn't add defensive starters?
  25. McKenzie is too inconsistent to rely upon in any capacity. That's why he is a gadget guy. If we want to move on from Beasley I hope McKenzie is not the only plan to replace him.
