What's wrong with the signing? Please explain why you are smarter than Beane and also every single other NFL analyst who says this is a good signing for the Bills?
For sure, but I'm never going to sign a receiver primarily for their blocking ability. I'd go with the better receiver 10 out of 10 times.
If you need better blocking, put another TE on the field.
I kind of view him as comparable to Beasley, honestly. But Beasley is a little quicker (when not hampered by injury). So I guess if I had to choose between the two I'd rather stick with Beasley given he knows the offense and already has familiarity with Josh Allen.
That would be interesting. I'm fairly confident he'll get some offers, though. He held his own as CB1 on one of the best pass defenses in the league for a bunch of games last year. He deserves it. I have to think GM's around the league have taken notice regardless of who his agent is.
You never know. I've thought this about some coaches and they have done quite well, and, more commonly, I have thought well about coaches who end up doing terribly.
Guess he likes the cold. He found the one place colder than Buffalo.
I agree. I think he got paid what he was worth. I kinda wanted him back, but I'm liking the DT's we are reported to be signing. We'll be okay.
Happy for Bates. Hope another team doesn't swoop in. I've been pounding the table for him for a couple of years now. I hope he can build on the good end to last season and become a strong starter going forward.
That's an easy assumption, but we don't really know what McKenzie thinks about the situation. His agent could have let him know that there was not a strong market for him so the best deal he could get was with the Bills.
