Past games are not predictors of future games. You have been pretty down on the Bills for weeks and weeks, and they continue to prove you wrong over and over. Maybe you should relax and just see how the game goes. Wringing your hands and worrying so much can't be healthy. This is a game between two AFC powerhouses. Anything can happen. The Bills or the Chiefs could blow the other team out. Or it could be a shootout. Or it could be a defensive struggle. We just have to wait and see. Try to appreciate this era of Bills football a little. Win or lose, this is a good Bills team that will be contending for the foreseeable future at least. We have an elite QB and a good coaching staff and front office for the first time in decades. It's awesome.

Seriously? As if speed is the only thing you need to play corner in the NFL...

I don't disagree with what you are saying and I think our posts compliment each other. I fully agree that you can have multiple windows in a franchise QB's tenure, and we'll see that in Buffalo. I think we are in a wide open window right now and it will get more narrow in a couple of years, but with some retooling and developing, that window can get wider again. I don't think the super bowl is the only measure, though. Even though the Patriots had that 10 year super bowl drought, they were still going deep into the playoffs most years and were legitimate super bowl contenders, even if they didn't win a super bowl during those years. They consistently won their division and won playoff games throughout that decade.

Winning the Superbowl is not just about being the best team or playing your best ball. Sometimes you also need a few lucky breaks in your favor. Personally, I am going to just take this one game at a time. The Bills can beat any of these remaining teams for sure, but they could also lose to any of these remaining teams. The stars don't always align in your favor. Let's hope they do for these Bills this year.

It all depends on how your team was built. It is a different answer for every team. Many teams get their QB then they go out and sell the farm for high priced free agents, they make big trades for players, etc. They sell out for the super bowl window and kick the can down the road. They have a few years to make it work until they have to pay the piper. Other teams were built through the draft, like Seattle. Seattle has two really great drafts that netted them some elite players. They were good for awhile and then they got old and expensive. They weren't able to replicate those drafts or replace aging talent with young, cheaper talent. So they fizzled out eventually. The Bills were built through the draft and through free agency. They have focused on sustainability. Winning now and in the future. They focus on developing young talent. They are going to enter a phase where each draft is going to be more and more important as they will have less wiggle room in free agency and re-signing contracts due to Allen's and other foundational player's contracts. If they do that well, the window is open for as long as Allen is the QB. Beane doesn't like to kick the can down the road. He likes to pay the piper sooner rather than later, and that helps keep the future manageable. I'd say the current window is as wide open as it will be and that will last for a couple more years.

Yeah, but you never stop worrying. The thing you don't want to do against the Chiefs is blitz. Mahomes destroys the blitz. Dropping into coverage is not a recipe for disaster. You just have to do it right.

Michael Vick may have had a strong arm, but he was not a great passer like Josh is. Vick was not an efficient passer at all. Career completion percentage of 56.2% and a 2.7 INT percentage, which isn't great. His career passer rating is 80.4. He was definately below average as a passer, yes, he did have a strong arm and could sling it deep. Allen said once his nickname in high school and/or college had something to do with him being slow. So he wasn't always this fast and elusive as a runner. My hypothesis is that he was a late bloomer physically and that once professional strength and conditioning experts got ahold of him, and also getting some lessons in the 40 yard dash leading up to the draft, that everything clicked. The thing that makes Josh special is he is a great passer and an elite, top 5 QB even without his running ability. His elite running really puts him over the top. And I think he loves running it because it helps him feel like he is playing football and taking the game into his own hands when he wants.

Sounds like shoveling snow is no joking matter!

I liked the Chiefs at first, until I got to know their team, players, and online fan base better. I do like Andy Reid. He is a tremendous coach and his offensive scheme is innovative and fun to watch. I like Mahomes alright. But there are tons of players on the team that I do not like. Tyreek Hill is a complete piece of trash. There are others I don't like at well. The online fan base for the Chiefs are another big problem for me. I have never witnessed a worse fan base than what I witnessed the couple of times I went to their message board to take a peak. Really deplorable. And many on Twitter are bad as well. So, I will root against the Chiefs for the foreseeable future. I even found myself rooting against them in the super bowl with Tom Brady playing them. I wasn't planning it, but it happened. And I can't forgive the Chiefs for forcing me to root for a Tom Brady led team, one of my most hated players of all time.

And they want to interview Patriots coaches and personnel? Haven't people learned by now?

This is what the Bills have been waiting for ever since they lost to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. McDermott promised Diggs that they would be back and they are. Every change in the off-season had this matchup in mind. I know that every single player in a Bills uniform will be laser focused and ready to give it their all to advance past the Chiefs. This is what they have been waiting for. They get another chance at beating the Chiefs in the playoffs. And I think they are ready. This version of the Bills are more battle tested, more experienced, more resolute, and more aggressive. And they have been playing angry, physical football since the 2nd half of the Tampa Bay game. Go kill the Chiefs!

Infinitely better. Romo is alright, but Collinsworth is so horrible. Yes! I really miss that one. Get rid of the gross barf one and bring back the confused emoji.

I guess I am in the neutral category. I like him, but I do think some of his stuff isn't funny. I like hearing him come on One Bills Live each week. When he is just talking football and not acting crazy, I like him a lot more. But I also don't think it is odd or bad that a lot of Bills fans like everything he does. It makes sense.

I saw them come together for a brief moment, just long enough to probably say "Congrats, good game" and then they were off. I think they are turning out to not like each other very much. Pretty interesting after the 2nd 2020 game that Belichick really embraced McDermott and you could tell he was really giving McDermott a ton of respect and credit after that one. Now they just seem to be annoyed by each other.
-
That annoyed me so much. Every time they mentioned the Pats defense, they were like "they have the 2nd ranked defense". And don't you think it would be good to mention that they are 2nd to the other team on the field!? This Bills defense does not get the credit it deserves.

I think the Raiders just don't have the horses on offense to really compete.
