  1. He wouldn't be claimed because he isn't subject to waivers, but he might have been signed by someone.
  2. Is there something illegal about telling a free agent that you might be interested in signing him down the road? Not that I can think of.
  3. Why not try to get the best one available?
  4. He has made nearly $5 million in the NFL over his career. Good for him. It wasn't just that 5 INT game. He had problems every single time he stepped on the field in a Bills uniform, spanning both years he was with the team. I don't think he is good enough to play in the NFL. And he is even a low end backup.
  5. Neither of them made the 53. This isn't a Stevenson vs Hodgins thing. Stevenson is essentially getting cut tomorrow. He'll be on IR. And when he comes back, they'll probably cut him and put him on the practice squad unless there are injuries and you need him.
  6. He might be back after Stevenson goes to IR.
  7. Or how about go with the best possible players at every position, including special teams, in a year when you are trying to win a Superbowl? The Bills should not be favoring potential over production this year.
  8. He'll be placed on IR
  9. They prioritized the offense through free agency and trades. And they also spent two 2nd round draft picks on RB's, and another on a guard. The offense is very good and has very good players. Doesn't matter if they were drafted high or not.
  10. Ok, so it had to be before camp.
  11. I guess I don't see the reason why you wouldn't use PUP instead of IR right now. They seem about the same except you don't have to wait to put them on the list and they won't count against the 53 man roster. For IR, they are out for the season if you put them on right now, so they have to make the initial 53 man roster if you want them back after 4 games. So why would you ever put a player on IR and not the PUP list unless you know they will be out for the season?
  12. Just people having fun, mostly. I think you need to lighten up.
  13. The more time Jimmy G spends away from starting, the less others will view him as a starter. I think it's a mistake. He should have demanded to be out of there and competed for a stating spot this year. Unless, of course, he doesn't care that much about playing.
  14. He is nowhere close to the worst in the NFL, but yes, he would be a low end #2 QB. I think you should trust the coaches and Beane. They clearly wanted and upgrade at backup QB and were willing to let him walk. They brought him back to be a camp QB and soon to be practice squad QB. That should tell you what they think of him. They love him for the locker room, but don't want him to be the first guy off the bench if Josh goes down. And that's ok.
  15. Given the time of the voting, this makes sense. It wasn't until after the Tampa Bay game that Allen really went nuclear and started dominating, and then took it to another level in the playoffs. Everyone saw it. If the vote happened in February he would have been higher. Potentially top 5. He will be a man on a mission this year and take the league by storm. I feel it and I think a lot of other people feel it too, including many who aren't even Bills fans.
  16. He'll be #1 next year.
  17. What Bills QB has not taken cheap shots from the fans? That's the nature of the position.
  18. All the fine ones are taken too. Whoever we sign will be a lesser punter.
  19. I used to think Donald was pretty calm and collected. He is pretty soft spoken. But he has shown that he is kind of a jerk. He definitely drank his own cool aid. Phenomenal player, but I feel like his personality has changed. He also tried to choke a player last year.
  20. All the good punters are on a team already. If you pick one up off the garbage heap, they are going to be less than ideal and you are going to need to worry about them. That's where we are.
  21. I remember he got a lot of penalties for dumb stuff like taunting and other preventable stuff. I think he had some good kicks, but lacked consistency. Kind of like Bojo. He got popular because of his unique personality and story, not because he was an elite punter. After being cut by the Raiders unexpectedly, the Broncos signed him and he wasn't great. He was placed on IR and then cut. And that's the last we saw of him.
  22. Yes. Do you have doubts?
  23. Elam and Benford both showed flashes of excellence, in my opinion.
  24. They are best friends, so that makes sense.
  25. Whoever it is, their nickname needs to be something like "Punt Angel" or "Punt Boy Scout". Yes, and forward passes used to be against the rules. Things change.
