Oh I think his pass rush was not adequate, and stopping the run is fine, but you don't give guys big contracts or even significant starting time just to stop the run. I think letting Lawson and Phillips both walk was the right move by far, and I don't even like the idea of bringing either of them back. They are not good enough to be Buffalo Bills in 2022, in my opinion. And it is suspect that they were both busts but scraped together decent years in their contract year so that they could get paid, then completely underperformed since then.

Wentz is playing nothing like he used to, though. I'm not totally sure what happened to him, but he isn't the same player anymore.
-
Shaq wasn't really that productive with the Bills, though. He was bad at first, became below average, and then had one decent year where he was barely average.
-
I can get behind signing him to the practice squad. I would not want to see him play significant snaps over anyone else we have.

That's funny, since he is supposed to be an edge rusher but he doesn't produce sacks.

Bears and Dolphins request interview with Brian Daboll

Money, for starters. -
I chose Singletary. He has been running with a purpose all year long. I think he ups his game yet again and trucks some more guys for big runs.

Do you think the Pats will blitz like the Jets did Saturday?
MJS replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ok, if they get to catch a dropped pass, so do we. I'll take one of the dropped TD passes. -

No, I don't think they will. I'm sure they'll blitz some, but I bet they'll drop into coverage a lot. -
The Dolphins had Marino...

It has nothing to do with telling a lie. The OP believes it happened. The problem is they are making big assumptions based on what they saw. Beasley was likely yelling at the ref who was standing right there with McDermott. McDermott turning his head to say something does not indicate that he is angry, or even that he was talking to Beasley. It could have just as easily been him yelling to Beasley to settle down so they don't get a penalty. You know, normal football stuff that happens 10 times a game.

Bills finished 6th in rushing(5th in YPC) and 11th in passing

Newton took a beating for sure, but his arm is trash because of his multiple shoulder surgeries he has needed. Has nothing to do with running the ball. His shoulder was injured while getting sacked in the pocket. -

I do. It's fun to watch and usually results in high impact plays. Let Josh be Josh. -
If you are winning playoff games, you are not going to get fired for a very long time. If you get to the playoffs but can't win any games, you'll still stick around for awhile but eventually get fired. McDermott is firmly in place. He consistently gets to the playoffs. He has won the division multiple times. He has won playoff games and will probably win them in the future.
-
For those who do not like McDermott, I suggest you make peace with him being here. He is going to be the head coach of the Bills for a very long time. I think that's a good thing, personally. Especially on a day like today seeing coaches and GM's fired around the league and just knowing that these teams are hitting the reset button yet again. So glad the Bills do not have to do that. It is so hard to get your franchise out of that cycle.

Yeah. Gabe had 3 receptions on 14 targets. He usually brings in those tough sideline catches. He didn't today. He and Josh were not on the same page for multiple routes as well. I know wind was a factor too. Hope they get it worked out for the next game. Gabe's clutch catches will be important in the playoffs.

Should Something Be Done To Fix The Pro Bowl?
MJS replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall
Poyer deserved it. Hyde probably as well. There's an argument for Taron Johnson, but nobody besides Poyer and Hyde had the individual stats to warrant a pro bowl, really. But I consider Poyer to be a huge snub. He had an outstanding year. -

Well I don't think you look at wins. But you should look at the stats and impact play from these players. Josh Allen has better stats than those other QB's that were chosen. He is a clear snub. Jordan Poyer definately deserved it as well.
