Number 1 ranked 2021 Buffalo Bills Defense. Yards and points!
MJS replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because this is an offensive league. The Bills need to keep up on offense to beat the Chiefs, although we played them earlier in the season and the defense handled them pretty well. -
True. My other league ended last week.

It isn't the 70's. This is what elite defense looks like in the 2020's. Defenders are not allowed to defend anymore. -
He also lost me my Fantasy Superbowl win. Jacobs ran for 5 more yards and I lost by .16 points. So lame.

These Chargers receivers are dropping everything.

Diggs needs to catch that TD.

Cut this crappy punter!!

Mario Addison has 10 total sacks the past two years. Lawson has 5 total, with two different teams. Addison has been twice the player that Lawson has been since Lawson left, for the same cost. I don't want Addison here anymore, and I certainly don't want Lawson back.

Wow. Letting those two players walk was the right choice. Both got way overpaid and have done nothing since.

Don't start new threads just because you are confused.

Big Ben's passes take SOOO long to get there.

Backup QB is the best job in the NFL. You still get paid millions. You don't get beat up. When you do have to play there are really low expectations. If you do a decent job you can have a long career. I get it, players want to play, but if you aren't good enough to be a starter you might as well get paid a bunch of money to sit on the bench. -
Week 18: Jets at Bills - a W wins the AFC East!

Kicking leads directly to points, punting doesn't. -

Wouldn't it be more important to have a kicker for insurance instead of a punter? Can he do both? -
Interesting way to describe Josh Allen - High floor - High Ceiling

I've looked at the list a few times this year. It has been a complete joke all year, and not just because Allen has been ranked too low. There are numerous issues with it, too many to even list. Greg Rosenthal is one of those football nerds who just likes to hear the sound of his own voice, and he has been down on Allen for his entire career. It must be frustrating for him. -
NFL Schedule maps - week 18 - Central California is now Bills Country?
MJS replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
So funny that the Bills just have random splotches everywhere. I get that there are reasons for each of the blobs, but it is still pretty funny. -
Re-thinking the hiring of color commentators
MJS replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like some of them, but I've realized that I am pretty picky when it comes to announcers and color commentators. I'm not sure what the best formula is. I think it is kind of a shot in the dark to see which ones catch on and which don't. I think it is a very hard job. I liked Greg Olsen a lot when he did our game. I actually didn't know it was him at first. I looked it up and was really impressed. He has a bright future. I'm getting sick of Tony Romo, but he is still good. I actually don't mind Aikman that much. He is like a neutral for me. I don't like him at all, but I also don't dislike him. He is the bare minimum for competency. I loath Collinsworth. I hate both guys on Monday night. -
Or Watson developed because he was good and O'Brien happened to be there at the time. Wouldn't that be the majority in the NFL?

Falcons DC Dean Pees calls young NFL coaches “entitled” and “spoiled”
MJS replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is some bias in the analytics. They are skewed towards the teams with the best coaching and the most talent. Bill Belichick says he doesn't make decisions using analytics, but a lot of his decisions actually have aligned with the analytics over the years. Why? Because he has had a good team. Good teams are more successful regardless of what they do. That drives up the numbers for their tendencies. Bad teams can make the decision to follow the analytics, but still fail all the time because they don't have the talent, leadership, etc. to pull off what the good teams can do. You have to understand your own team. If you have Tom Brady, sneak it on 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 every time because he converts those every time. If you don't have Tom Brady, though, you aren't going to be as successful on those plays. Yeah, maybe the analytics tell you to sneak it, but if you suck at that, don't do it. Do something that your players are good at executing.
