Tua and his sensitive fan base (JA17 Related)
MJS replied to billsbackto81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, he could get it there, but he would have to float it super high, which would allow the defender to get back into the play. Weak armed QB's can throw it deep. It isn't about how far you are trying to throw it. All these QB's at the NFL level can throw the ball 50+ yards. It is about the velocity that you can get the ball down the field with. Mac Jones INT to Hyde in the playoffs is a great example. Decently deep ball thrown with good accuracy, but it had to be floated high in the air, which let Hyde get to it. Josh Allen can get the ball there much faster, which makes it much more difficult for defenders. -
Yep. I've been hoping for an upgrade for Hughes for years. He hasn't been an impactful edge rusher for a long time. I know some fans love him and he had a long tenure here, but he just wasn't producing when we needed him to. I hope fans can now see the difference with Von Miller. Miller is an elite, impact player who closes and makes plays. Hughes is a fine player, but never elite. There are a bunch of guys in the league a lot better than Hughes, though. Not just Miller. Guys who impact the game to a much higher level.

Von Miller played just 35 snaps vs the Rams
MJS replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
The regular season is important too. If we can get that first round bye and have home advantage through the playoffs, that's huge. -
Go look at the depth chart on Buffalobills.com. He is listed as a running back. Yes, he only plays special teams, but he is technically a running back.

Comparing the Von Miller signing to another famous signing...

One kick to those skinny, skeletal legs should do the trick! -
They kept all the running backs active. That is why Shakir was inactive, I think. I kind of doubt Moss will be active next game, and I'd bet Shakir is active in his place. For some reason they felt they needed all their backs for this game, but two of them fumbled, so I think they won't do that again for awhile. I think Moss took a lot of the plays that Cook was supposed to get. But then he fumbled too. Taiwan Jones too. So 4 RB's. I think Moss will be inactive often going forward.

He seems like a pretty quiet, reserved guy. He doesn't seem smug or abrasive to me at all. He does seem confident, but why would you want an NFL player on your team who is not confident? Confidence is important. What is your opinion on Diggs? Diggs is VERY smug, often abrasive (to other teams and fans especially), and supremely confident. Yes, he is proven, but are you turned off about that in him? I guarantee you he has been like that ever since coming into the league. That's his personality.

Such an annoying, entitled take. How about you just be grateful for this amazing team and culture that Sean McDermott is directly responsible for creating? I know... too much to ask.
-
Spare me. I hated him LONG before Josh Allen came around. I can't stand him and the fact that he is now saying nice things about our Superbowl caliber team does not change that. He has to because it's so obvious.

James Cook is going to be a major problem
MJS replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
He'll get more shots. Moss fumbled it too. -
Jalen Ramseys initial PFF grade for the game
MJS replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is so overrated anyways. Some say he is the best corner in the league. He isn't. Just your classic go all out for an INT corner who gets burned all the time when not making a big play. Me first players who only care about picks. -
Wait, are you claiming the Rams aren't a good team? They are a very good team.
-
Yes, and Stafford was getting pummeled every other play. No roughing the passer penalties. Really superb. Make the QB's earn it. You know Josh Allen is up to the challenge.
-
He is a rookie. It has been one game. Ask me again in a couple years.
-
My one issue was the Josh Allen runs. And I am an advocate for him running. I defend it all the time. But when you are up 31 to 10, there's just no reason to run the ball with Josh. But I also wonder if it is Josh himself taking that freedom to take off when he wants to. I don't know how often the OC is calling a Josh Allen run play versus Allen changing the play or simply deciding to take off on that play. Agreed. If everything goes well Dorsey will be a HC two years from now, and we'll have another hot shot in the wings to take over. This offense is going to create a lot of head coaches.

Play action pass to McKenzie for 8 yards (slant).

How much of a drop off is Ken Dorsey from Brian Daboll (if any)?
MJS replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm assuming there will be some growing pains, but there is no reason why he can't be just as good or even better. Two years from now he will be a head coach. The Bills OC position is now a fast track for head coaching opportunities. Hey, if they think they have a big advantage running the ball against certain teams, I'm all for them doing that. Or if their passing game isn't working and they need to make in-game adjustments and run the ball more, great. They need to be good at what they do. If they need to run the ball, they need to be good at it. If they need to pass it 60 times, they need to be good at it. The best teams are the ones who can adjust how they attack when they meet a road block. -
Josh Allen joins Jordan Palmer’s podcast “The Room”

Josh is in such high demand. He is going on every show and every podcast. -
Does it really matter?

When do you typically get big game, game day anxiety?
MJS replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
I do get a bit of anxiety for playoff games. Not for regular season games, though. I just look forward to them. -
Oh, I take pride in not knowing what it is.

Is Allen routinely fooled by pre-snap disguises?
MJS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just a lazy take. Everyone said Allen sucked. He is dominating now, so to explain it they are just saying that he is so physically gifted that he overcomes those things about him that should make him bad. But it is a bunch of bull. Allen has progressively made strides in not just the physical aspects of the game, but the mental as well. He beats both zone and man coverage. He makes correct reads. He looks off safeties. He doesn't stare down receivers (well, sometimes he does, like most QB's). He is just as cerebral as he is physically gifted. -
I am not able to make any picks yet in the pick'em league. It says "Week 1 matchups to be determined". Anyone else have this issue?

I have a lot to learn about dances. I'm just old fashioned, I guess. I like to watch football but don't pay attention to their dancing and their outfits and their social media posts, etc.

The most impressive thing was they all knew what "the griddy" is (had to google the spelling). I would have been like "You want to know who is the most gritty? Like who is the toughest?" I feel like an old man at age 33. These darn whippersnappers and their tik toks and their dances.
