  1. Evans is a repeat offender of cheap shotting guys, especially Lattimore. He is out of control.
  2. Let's also hope that the injuries to the defense don't become too much to overcome. If the Dolphins beat the Bills, injuries will have played a big factor in that I think.
  3. Hmm. Well I am not an expert at this. In the video he explained that Seattle used a lot of 1 high safety looks and started dominating, and the rest of the NFL kind of followed. Now the NFL is going back to two high safeties.
  4. Good for him. Hope he gets some playing time and does well.
  5. But blitzed a lot in the superbowl.
  6. Both those teams blitzed quite a bit though.
  7. Bills are 2nd in yards to the 49ers and 2nd in scoring to Tampa, but #1 in takeaways. They are 2nd in sacks to Tampa. There are a handful of really good defenses so far after two weeks. But I think the Bills have played better teams than the 49ers or Buccs, so to me the defensive showing for the Bills has been more impressive.
  8. This is what McDermott and Frazier have wanted: getting pressure with only 4. That's why Beane has been so heavily investing on the line in both the draft and free agency, because it is such a weapon if you can get that organic pressure.
  9. Oh, it absolutely is by design. We will also blitz zero times when we face Patrick Mahomes, I'd be willing to wager. That's the game plan against good QB's who routinely destroy the blitz, and Stafford is in that category as an experienced, good QB.
  10. Yeah, I think he titled his video that just to illustrate the current trend in the NFL of going back to the two-high safeties and to blitz less. The Bills took that to an extreme in week 1 by blitzing zero times. Anyone know how much we blitzed week 2?
  11. I found this video on YouTube and he really does a great job of illustrating how the Bills defense is played and how insanely well coached the unit is. This is just a breakdown of week 1 against the rams, but really shows how disciplined and fundamentally sound the defense it. It also helped me to gain more appreciation for how well coached this team is. The defensive calls were perfect, countering everything the Rams wanted to do and really showed they were one step ahead of them at every turn. We saw this against the Titans too. I also gained a lot of respect for Tremaine Edmunds from watching this video. He is asked to do a lot and is very effective in coverage. He had a good game week 2 as well, with a sack, 2 tackles for loss, a QB hit, and a deflected pass that was intercepted by Poyer.
  12. I think we have finesse guys on the oline. They struggle when we need to just line up and push the opposing line. That's why the Bills try to resort to trick plays and misdirection to pick those up. They don't have confidence in the ability to just muscle out the 1 yard. At this point I'd rather see 3rd and 4 than 3rd and 1.
  13. Get consistent pressure on Allen up the middle without blitzing.
  14. But why, if you can kneel down and end the game?
  15. They got him on tape. Put him in the back pocket for awhile while defenses needlessly prepare for him, then pull him back out in a few games once they aren't looking for him anymore.
  16. I honestly think Hyde didn't mean to make contact. He came across the field and i think he was watching the ball, passed another teammate and collided with their receiver. I'd have to watch it more closely, but at the time I thought it was unintentional, and the ref right there might have thought the same thing, which is why he didn't throw the flag. It wasn't a hard hit, just caught the receiver off guard.
  17. Great, so let's put them in. Let's not scrape the barrel for 10 to 15 guys every single year (over 30 in 2020!).
  18. The draft was definitely more interesting. It is basically all you live for in the bad years, hoping to find one or two players that can change your fortune. The draft is kind of boring now for me. It is still important, but I know the Bills will be fine regardless. But, I'd much rather be excited about the actual season and post season than the draft. I'll take that 10 times out of 10.
  19. Jahri Evans has the accolades, but obviously being an interior linemen seems to give you a lesser chance. But he was a 6 time pro bowler and 4 time First-Team All Pro. Guys like Bowman, Chris Johnson, and Chancellor shouldn't be anywhere close, honestly.
  20. Weak list. This is why I hate that we have a quota every single year. Only put the guys in that really deserve it. Skip years if you need to.
  21. Exactly. Just a bunch of ignorant fans who claim otherwise. I don't get it. And there are legitimately a handful of fans who seem to hate McDermott. It's incredible.
  22. You people still exist? We have the best team we have had in decades, maybe ever, have been murdering our opponents ruthlessly, and you continue to talk bad about the one man who started all of it? Just incredible.
  23. I like our team how it is.
  24. I think we're just spoiled. The offense is so explosive that when they look a little more normal, we think they are doing badly. They scored 7 in the first quarter and 10 in the 2nd. That's good offensive production, honesty. I watched a lot of non-bills games the past two weeks and I find them incredibly dull. Offenses look bland and mistake prone. I remember during the drought watching most other teams and thinking "Why can't we look like this? They make it look so easy."
