  1. OK, so there shouldn't actually be a holdup, right?
  2. Do they actually have to listen to this coalition?
  3. Hey, he has already sat two 4th quarters and is still on that pace.
  4. No, he will be a head coach after next season. Book it.
  5. I have no desire to bring in an underperforming receiver who seems to make the least of his targets instead of the most. I don't care how talented he is.
  6. In the NFL, the closer to the field you are, the more money you make. Superstar players make way more than coaches. Coaches make more than GM's. It's because they have a more direct impact on wins and losses on a week to week basis, the jobs are more prestigious, and they are more in the public eye.
  7. Beane isn't McDermott's supervisor, for one. They both report directly to the owners.
  8. I'd even say that Elam has struggled at times. He is a young player and has tons of potential, so I'm not worried even slightly.
  9. This, plus Allen is taking short passes and check downs more often this year, which requires the ball to be released on a lower trajectory.
  10. Yes, it's because Allen did it against an elite team. Nobody cares if you beat the Jags.
  11. Coaches make more.
  12. They save Fridays for high school football.
  13. Hey, I'm all for that. That day is kind of boring because I don't do black Friday shopping. I always have it off for work. Wouldn't mind watching a Bills game.
  14. It's 100% on McKenzie. The pitch is obviously one of the options on that play, which means McKenzie needs to be ready for it. He purposely stays behind Allen so it would be a backwards pitch instead of a forward pass. So, he was in the correct position, just wasn't looking for the ball. Really strange, honesty. Could be they ran it a bunch in practice and Allen never pitched it, but that's no excuse. If a pitch is one of the options, he needs to be ready.
  15. I don't think it is because they think they are too good. These turnovers seem to always come in the beginning of the games. The team seems to take a bit to get used to the physicality and game plan of the opposing defense. They are the team to beat, so they are getting the absolute best effort from every team, every week. The more and more they play, the more they will get used to being the team everyone wants to beat. Also, it could just be we have players who are a little turnover prone. Bill Belichick always prioritized smart system players who took care of the football and played fundamentally sound, even if that meant sacrificing some athleticism and upside. I think Beane has prioritized upside, but we have some players who lack some consistency and fundamentals. So, one one hand, mistakes are going to be made, but on the other, they have explosive players who can score at any time. With the current cast of characters I think we will always experience a little volatility in the ebbs and flows of a game and week to week. That's just who they are. I'm fine with that, because the upside is so high.
  16. The Bills would slaughter them.
  17. Yeah, too cold for all the people coming to your city, not for the game itself. Nobody wants to celebrate to frigid Buffalo in the winter. And no. Hotels would not be falling o er themselves to build because of a few more events a year.
  18. The superbowl is not just about the game. It is about hosting a ton of people in your city.
  19. That would never happen anyway. Too cold, too much snow, not enough hotel space, too small an airport, etc. A domed stadium wouldn't get Buffalo close to consideration for a Super Bowl.
  20. I hate squib kicks, personally. I think they are almost useless. The clock doesn't start until you touch it, so why have them start with great field position? Kick the ball down to their 5 yard line, forcing them to return it and take time off the clock. If you are deathly afraid of their returner and still need to take time off the clock, kick a directional kick away from them. Squibs are just not effective.
  21. I noticed that a lot too. They would beat their man and then stop their rush and wait for Mahomes to respond. The Bills got KILLED by Mahomes scrambles last time we played them. Clearly this was a focus area for the Bills this time around. And yeah, nobody can stop Kelce. It's unlike anything I have ever seen at the TE position. He is unstoppable. But they kept him out of the end zone, which is the most you can do.
  22. Allen seems a lot more willing to check the ball down or take the short completions this year compared to Mahomes.
  23. He is older and he drank too much of his own coolaid.
  24. Ask both of them what they think. They'll both give a lot of credit to the other person. So that tells me both of them played a role in the success they had. I will say none of it is possible without Allen's amazing potential and work ethic. That is a requirement that only Allen can take credit for and it is the most important piece.
  25. Well, Josh was screaming in his face, so it would make sense if his body language was a little off. Really horrible missed call, though. And it came in a big situation. They also called some really weak holds and PI's throughout the game. I thought there were a couple late hits on Allen that weren't called. Josh used to get those calls a lot, but he doesn't seem to get those as much any more.
