Not sure about dusting Andy Reid, but I seen Andy Reid dust a sheet pizza and 2 orders of wings before. It was grotesque.

Maybe the training staff should be cut.

Asante Samuel - Not Visiting Yet
BuffaloBillyG replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unfortunately, I am visiting my inlaws -
They got plenty of reps together in camp and even reps together in the joint practices with the Bears. Don't think an additional 10-12 snaps against the Bucs second team defense is all that important.

Is it too early to call him a bust?

Harry is always a guy I rooted for after he left the Bills. But he's dead to me now.

Rapp dinging up a teammate? Who would have thought....

Say what you will about Jarveon Howard's brief Bills career...but he still has more rushing yards for the franchise than Reggie Bush ..

Bills sign RB Jarveon Howard; place Darrynton Evans on IR
BuffaloBillyG replied to The Jokeman's topic in The Stadium Wall
Howard will carry the ball 9 times for 50 yards late in preseason game 3, and a fair chunk of people here will want him on the 53. -
He's a likeable kid. I really hope it works out for him here.

McDermott - "Still looking for that other safety"
BuffaloBillyG replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. The most disheartening thing about McD's statement is that it seems Rapp is entrenched. He's horrible. Graded out worse than Hamlin last year. Not saying you're wrong, but I haven't seen anything stating Simmons wants $10M guarantee. Do you have a link or is this just projection from an armchair agent? I assume you mean Poyer. No thank you. He was toast last year in Miami and he was toast in his last year in Buffalo. Age/injury have caught him. -
McDermott - "Still looking for that other safety"

Luke Kuechly was the most important player in McDermott's Carolina defense. And no, there wasn't even a close 2nd there either. -
McDermott - "Still looking for that other safety"

I don't care WHO does it. I want someone to step up and take the position...not have someone as the starter by default. Bishop, Hamlin, Lewis, heck even Hancock...I want someone to show they are the best. -
We talking about Gabe Davis still? He and Josh had zero chemistry. So many times they were on different pages. A lot of people like to chime in that once we lost Diggs Allen won MVP. The bigger reason Allen's play ascended last year was we also lost Gabe Davis. I guess this board just likes having WRs that drop the ball A LOT. That run to the wrong spot. That have a low catch rate and a higher than normal rate of passes being intercepted when targeted.

Yeah, he watched Cole Bishop's performance at safety last night. Made a lot of people cry.

Kyle Dugger….Possible trade/cut candidate
BuffaloBillyG replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
He had a 72. But to put that in perspective, he only logged 191 snaps as opposed to Hamlin's 875 snaps ...so far smaller grading opportunities. For a second, I thought that was Phillip Rivers family. -
Should Buffalo cut all their backup QBs?
BuffaloBillyG replied to BigAl2526's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm hoping White and Buechelle are cut and the Bills scour the wire at cutdown time for a young QB for the practice squad. I would keep Mitch. I actually feel like if he had to start a few games mid season that Brady could craft a gameplan that he could Trubisky could run successfully. -

BuffaloBillyG replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rumor was the Bills liked him coming out in the draft. If he's cut, it wouldn't shock me to see Beane bring him in. In addition to safety, he can play STs and even has some experience as a KR. If PFF is your thing they actually confirm this. PFF scores from last year: Hamlin: 60.2 Rapp: 59 Duggar: 44.3 Again, that's PFF so take it with the normal grain of salt -
If you are cutting Hamlin, do it now...
BuffaloBillyG replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is spot on. People are so obsessed with Hamlin and his play that Rapp gets a pass. But he's just as much a liability as Hamlin is out there as a starter. Another issue is we were spoiled for almost a decade with Poyer/Hyde. Even league average safeties would look terrible to our eyes at this point. And Rapp/Hamlin are below league average which makes it look even worse. -
Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season Game 2
BuffaloBillyG replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Haven't read every page yet, but here are my thoughts. I thought Hancock had a very solid night. I'd love to see him get some reps with the first team and see how he does. I was hard on Landon Jackson last week, but I will say he did better. He went from stinking out loud to blending in and being largely unnoticeable. I suppose that's progress. I said in the beginning of the off season that Shavers had a real path to the 53 man roster in a Kumerow/Sherfield/Hollins type role. I think he's on that path. In addition to his STs ability, he does something we don't see many others do routinely...he creates space down field, can track the ball and catch it. Some guys I think really hurt themselves. Mike White, IMO, played himself off the roster last night. There are going to be some young QBs on the waiver wire soon. I'd love to see the Bills poach one of them and dump White/Buechelle as the practice squad arm. RVD. I like the kid, and he's a fine replacement level tackle. But, he was passed on the depth chart last year by Grable and I don't see him leaping ahead. He's also got almost zero position flexibility. He's ok at LT, struggles at RT and does not play inside. I really wish there was a way we could keep baby Gore on the 53. Love the way he runs. But Cook and Johnson are locked in and Davis isn't getting cut. -

Honestly, last night I thought Hancock looked solid. I would be tempted to see him in there against a first team offense.
