  1. Their starting center is active but I was hearing he's on emergency snaps only.
  2. I see one way. Barkley has handled the rock a TON this year and stayed healthy. He's overdue for some kind of injury IMO. Not wishing anything on him just playing the odds. And Hurts is already playing at less than 100% with a back up Center.
  3. Nate Burleson has picked against us the last 2 games. Hoping he goes Chiefs today too.
  4. Hopefully, a fool and their money will soon part.
  5. I have another kind of prediction. In the event the Bills take a big lead, Mahomes will "twist an ankle" and limp to the finish.
  6. So you're anxious...and calm. I do not think those words mean what you think lol. I get it though. Before the season my thought was with all the roster turnover, making the playoffs would be a success. Then my thoughts shifted into "We cannot lose in the Divisional round at home again". Now what was looked at as a retool year is actually a step forward. I'm satisfied with how the season panned out. Far exceeded my expectations. Now, since we are here I'd like to finally get over the Chiefs hump and beat them when it matters. Don't get me wrong. But if they play well, have a chance at the end and just get beat...I can live with that. Whatever will be will be
  7. Honestly, if I'm the coach I let the defense know if they do get a shot to hit Mahomes...take it. But make it worth the possible 15 yards. Tackle him hard...NOT dirty and if you give up the penalty yards...leave him with some soreness. No weak 15 yarders. Not trying to injure or be dirty. Good legal hard football hits. Get him uncomfortable and sore leading to the 4th quarter.
  8. I thought about this last night. As sweet as it would be to get back to the Bowl on its own...I'd find it a bit sweeter it comes at the end of the season where Diggs pushed his way out of Buffalo...only to join a team that lost in the playoffs to the Chiefs in the Divisional round.
  9. Not even a little bit. My biggest pet peeve are the conspiracy theorist types that will be coming out of the woodwork talking about how the NFL "wants" The Chiefs to win, the Taylor Swift factor and "bogus penalties that were called or missed" when it amounts to a lot of times the person posting really just doesn't understand the rules as well as they THINK they do. Yeah, no, I won't be peeking. Going to enjoy the game with a nice cold beer, not whine.
  10. If it does or it doesn't people will still be convinced it did. Even on legit flags against Buffalo today, watch the game day thread. Tin foil has been in short supply in the Buffalo area this week for all the hats made. Frankly, I'm avoiding the game day thread all together.
  11. Win or lose, we get to see Josh Allen play football today. And that's a special thing. Enjoy these times. Unleash the Freak from Firebaugh!!
  12. No off course not. And Joe has always come across as a straight shooter. Coen pulled the move to get what he wanted. Maybe Joe did the same to see if New Orleans upped an offer or something else he wanted. More money to take on a bad situation, perhaps. I really don't think so, but until the job is filled there's always a chance.
  13. In a little less than 24 hours the board will be flooded with comments and threads about how we need to fire McDermott or how Philly is about to destroy us in the Super Bowl Even if we get nice things we don't know how to enjoy them.
  14. One thing is certain. Tomorrow we get to see Josh Allen do Josh Allen things on a football field. As a matter of fact, with these stakes I think we see a new Josh Allen. An "Ultra Allen". One that will leave us all in awe.
  15. We have all picked some players here but let's be real. We need Josh Allen to Josh Allen harder than he's ever Josh Allened before. He needs to come out of that tunnel with his balls out, cape on and that look on his face. You know the one. He needs to be a real live buffalo tomorrow.
  16. No. Not at all. I'd love to see the Bills win it all but can't wrap my head around how they would handle Barkley in the Super Bowl. Dude could legitimately break the Super Bowl rushing record against our run defense and control the game.
  17. I like it and hope it's what ends up happening. But once upon a time Coen was staying in Tampa as well. Until the Saints hire someone else I'm giving this Stef Diggs level side eye.
  18. Agree. They caught a bit of lightning in a bottle their Super Bowl year, but since then they steadily let talented players who fit their systems (especially on defense) walk away. To the point they replaced a well regarded DC because he couldn't make it work with duct tape and twine. Now it's looking like the purge on offense is due. Mixon last off-season, likely Higgins this one.
  19. Typically, I would kick the XP and head to OT. However. At that point you are a yard and a half from the Super Bowl with the best football player on planet Earth running your offense. You also have James Cook who showed a real nose for the end zone. The only thing that scares me is the play call. In this situation the one thing you can't do is have Allen run. They will key in that. And don't call a read option... because Allen won't give the rock up in that situation. Would almost have to be a play where Allen rolls right and makes a play. As odd as it sounds...I look for Mack Hollins. On the flip side you have a defense that quite possibly would not be able to stop the Chiefs in OT. And you still have to hope Bass nails the XP to send it there. I'm going for two and not letting Mahomes see the field again
  20. He has 5 targets the whole game. He had one drive where he was featured. 1 carry. That's gameplan.
  21. The lateral pass wasn't planned. It was impromptu on Kelce's part. They used Worthy the same way against a lot of teams. What "wounds"? Crazy calls? They have those oddball plays in their playbook almost every week. Used mostly inside the 20. Have you never watched the Chiefs? They do this so they players get a sense of having fun. It's been talked about a ton. Andy has said many times throughout the years how much he likes McDermott. And if he doesn't who cares? For 3 hours Sunday love and respect go out the window.
  22. I think the old guys make a splash. In what could be their final opportunity at making a Super Bowl, Von Miller and Amari Cooper shine bright.
  23. Pete only got a 3 year deal (with team option for a fourth season). An odd contact for coaches I believe. So he may just be a short term culture setter. But if you see video of him in practice He's still got more energy than guys half his age.
  24. I've seen that mentioned many times on this board about Allen being a mismatch for the Shannahan style offense but I'm not sure I agree. Early in Josh's career I would agree. But he's worked on a lot in the last few years and I really think where he is now, Josh Allen may just be a "System Proof" QB. He's gotten better at the short to intermediate. The one area I still think he struggles is deep ball accuracy and ball placement. I think with a little work on Josh's end and some small tweaks to the system, it could work.
  25. True. But sometimes fresh eyes see the answers to questions the battle tested didn't know existed. In a situation bline this doubling up on information isn't a bad thing. Redundancy can be reaffirming. Be nice to know we see the Chief defense the same way other top teams do as well.
