  1. All jokes aside, what an absolute tragic epitaph to what would have been a HoF career.
  2. So last year was the year of wrist injury. First Boas and now this...is this the year of the calf injury?
  3. I'm no expert, but shooting someone may void his guarantee...
  4. If true, there's the vet LBer depth so many have wanted
  5. I would figure we reached out prior to the draft. I think once they used a 1st on CB position Beane's interest level has come down since. I'm sure at the right price anything is possible...but the room is pretty cro now IMO
  6. In the grander scheme of things this isn't as bad if a move for the Steelers as many think. Their defense is extremely good. They don't need much from the offense to win games. Rodgers isn't a world beater anymore...but he's steady and doesn't turn the ball over much historically. So if they get steady play I can see them pushing 10-11 wins and being in the hunt for the division late in the season. Makes it harder for Baltimore. And if Rodgers gets hurt again, play slips and it all goes sideways, they can see what they have in their late round rookie, pick high next year for a possible franchise QB and use it as leverage to finally move on from Tomlin (who I do think is a good coach. Just maybe time for someone new there)
  7. My biggest this if he's not in TC is that he may be in great shape...but won't be in football shape when the season starts. Just from memory I can think of a lot of guys that held out all or a portion of the off-season workouts and TCs theat end up playing with soft tissue injuries during the season. Yes we need him, but we need him healthy and ready to roll. Otherwise, I fear we see his name on the injury report all season long and see a less physical version of him in games.
  8. Hopefully he spent time making sure the knee was right. I remember a couple years ago people wanted Spencer Brown cut coming off the back injury. Likely the same folks are down in Kincaid after last year. If he's healthy, he will be a different player entirely.
  9. Ironically, the last wedding I attended was my daughter's. And it was at New Era Field. We rented out an area and did it there. The package included an hour of time on field to screw around and do wedding photos. I'll always remember throwing a TD pass to my son on that field. Good times.
  10. I think the biggest question should be.... What song emerges from the reception to become 2025s version of Mr. Brightside (Please let it be the Funky Chicken)
  11. I agree with not using PFF as a singular measurement. As a matter of fact I'm a believer that you should never take ANY metric as a singular measurement. However, in Dodson's case the number actually met (what I believe to be still the most accurate measurement) the eye test. As I said I watched him in several of his Dolphin games. He was magnificent. No where am I saying he's better, worse or the same as Bernard. I never made any comparison not did I mention him. My response was about Dodson. As you point out they don't even play the same position.
  12. Well, admittedly I didn't see him play is Seattle. But I did catch a few of his games with the Dolphins. Not sure if it was just a better scheme fit or them using him to his strength better...but he was playing at a "Pro Bowl" level in Miami. In fact, where he struggled the most in Buffalo (coverage) he actually showed out in Miami. He posted the NFLs #1 overall coverage grade for LBers from week 11 on (which is when he joined Miami.).
  13. Dodson #29. Good for the guy. Not thrilled he's a Dolphin now.
  14. Vrabel already wants to smack him.
  15. I could give you the same advice! Have a great day, friend!
  16. Posts like this are what make me want to petition the Mod Squad into giving us the middle finger reaction emoji.
  17. So, now we care about PFF'S ranking? When did I miss the memo?
  18. Watch them use Dion's idea to troll the Bills. Name it the Jason Peters award. Give it to Wyatt Teller the first year.
  19. Agree. A lot of people will be taking a 4-5 second blip on a throw a way TV show to use out of context to support whatever narrative they already had. It's going to be brutal on these boards.
  20. The best part of it is that everyone here is wise enough not to obsess, overblow or overreact to minor little things that will appear on the show.
  21. Terrelle Pryor. He was already transitioned to WR when he came here. Didn't see many snaps but I always liked watching him play
  22. I mean, at the very least it's an opportunity. Maybe not for this team, but perhaps he gets into some PS games and does well. Hes just as much auditioning for 31 other teams as he is for the Bills. Gives him the opportunity to put some good things on tape, maybe it leads to a contract in the NFL with another team. Keeps his dreams alive a little longer.
