10/13/25 GAMEDAY Bills at Falcons MNF Gameday Thread

I feel like (especially if Kincaid is out or plays limited snaps because of the oblique) tonight is a Jackson Hawes breakout game. -

Hopefully, the sloppy play is in the past. Turnovers and stupid penalties are the only way I see us losing this one. Need to come out strong and not let them hang around. Looking forward to seeing Big Ed play tonight. Let's see if post injury he can dominate like he did in the Ravens game. I think that would settle a lot of people down a bit. -

Problem with this is that Brady loves to switch personal up. And by rule anytime you switch personal the opponents get a chance to sub as well. Now if we can catch a team with obvious mismatches in personal...by all means run that up tempo and take advantage of it. I just don't know if Brady can help himself -
I think some competition for the division would be a good thing in the long run. Too long we have done the "run it back" method and brought back players we should have upgraded because, well...we won the division. Made the playoffs. Even won a game or two. I think some fear of losing the division may motivate Beane to upgrade a little more urgently.

Gotta give credit to Worthy as well. They tried the bargain bin Hill route before with Mecole Hardman. -

I don't feel bad for him. He had a chance to end his own suffering, but re-signed a fat contract instead. Which they likely screw up anyway. He would fit in here as an often injured player. No thanks. McDaniel was great his first year when he brought Shanny's system. Once teams adjusted to him he lacks the knowledge and creativity to build on what he had and come up with new ideas. -
It's not the roster. It's ownership. That's the one constant that won't change. And I think Fields gets shots as a starter over guys like Mac and Sam because of his mobility. If someone can make the light go off on Fields as a passer he has a huge upside because of his ability to run the ball as well.

I am so glad other people are coming around on Rapp. He's a huge liability out there and has been for a long while. With people not hyper focused on Hamlin's play, Rapp is being exposed. We definitely need an upgrade there. Unfortunately, I don't see them moving on in season for reasons that have been discussed a lot on this board. (Would lead to communication issues in the secondary, McDermott runs a complex defense to pick up, ECT..) WR, I agree we need something there. But I fear giving Joe Brady a down field threat would like giving a baby a PS5. Great and flashy but may collect dust because the owner doesn't know how to use it. I like Shaheed and have for a while. Another name for them to consider may be Mecole Hardman. He's a FA, so wouldn't cost picks. And while he certainly isn't magnificent, he does have some big game experience and can get a jersey on game days as a returner and situational deep threat. Should also be a very low dollar contract.

As good as Kincaid has played this year, I'm ok if he misses this one. Let him heal up so it doesn't bother him all year like his knee did last season I'm also biased as I would love to see Hawes get some extra snaps/targets as well. -
DT T.J. Sanders and S Damar Hamlin to Injured Reseve

3 coming back. 2 on IR. Leaves one more spot to go. Barring injuries to someone else...my guess is Codrington is a goner still or possibly Milano ends up on IR. -

The coaching issue comes from calling a play for a handoff to a guy that hasn't had one in a live game in 6 years in that spot. And let's also just say that not everything Josh says is factual. He plays nice a LOT in the way he phrases things and how he frames his answers. -
Barkley had a LOT of touches last year. That wears on a body. Historically, the year after a RB had a 2000 yard rushing season, there's a dip the following season. There are of course exceptions, but this was always likely the season he was going to have after last year. That and long stretches of games go by and they don't hand it to him. Play calling has been very bad for Philly this year

Your second sentence is part of the reason why your first sentence is true. Just arrogant play calling IMO. -

https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2025/10/09/buffalo-bills-sean-mcdermott-joe-brady-offense-too-cute/86595781007/ McDermott and Brady address the offense being "too cute". Brady seems to justify it. McDermott doesn't seem happy. And I think he's correct. Look for Buffalo to get back to basics and downhill running this week IMO. -
I like Shaheed. He is a legit big play guy. However, last year when he missed time the Saints signed a freshly cut MVS off our roster and he made some big plays too. I just don't think we run a system that can use deep ball receivers well. So if we get Shaheed or another guy I don't think we use him properly anyway.

I'm not going to get into the gripes of the penalties that should be called, or if it's a football play or not. The OP asks how to stop the play? You stop it on first and second down. You don't let em get to the 3rd and inches. Understand that's easier said than done. But win the early downs and it's not an issue.
