Mack Hollins is a National Treasure!!
BuffaloBillyG replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall
They asked Beane in one of his pressers about Mack not coming back. Beane said he wanted him back but Mack made the decision to head out, so have to ask him. He abandoned you. -
Purdy and 49’ers extension. 5 years 265 million
BuffaloBillyG replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
I really thought the better idea for the 49ers would have been to trade him or let him walk and draft a guy like Quinn Ewers. If any system is set to draft a guy late and rinse repeat to save the dough it's that one. -
Bills preseason schedule is the Giants, Bears, and Bucs
BuffaloBillyG replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree. But I think Daboll beats McDermott in a hot dog eating contest. -

Hoping for a Daboll/McDermott throwdown at midfield after the game. -
Buffalo Bills 2025 Regular Season Schedule
BuffaloBillyG replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Man. Ravens, Jets, Dolphins, Patriots and Falcons early. All solid running teams while we are down 2 DL due to suspension. Gonna have to piece something together. Will be a good test before we get back to full strength. -
As bad as Damar and Rapp are perceived to have played last year...both were a step up from where Poyer was last year with the Dolphins and I would argue with the Bills in his final year with the team. Once a great player who just had Father Time catch up on him. Had a hell of a career here. But his time is over

I wouldn't park there if someone paid me.

Another one - Trey Hendrickson asks for a trade from Cincy
BuffaloBillyG replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I assume the "cast off" was Bosa. But with the draft investment with the guys we took among with Bosa and the PED twins, it's pretty clear that Beane has invested in DL this year and I would assume any other large investments in the spot is off the table for now. Players have gotten smarter. The ones on top of things do a "hold in" where they show to camp, attend meetings and lift..but don't partake in football activities. It does just enough to avoid the fines. -
I suspect him to make a few visits. Teams are gonna want to check his knee in person.

I'm good with getting the Bengals early in the season. They typically stumble out of the gate.

What’s the deal with Winston and Cousins?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cousins has a pretty high price tag and showed serious regression before being benched last year. Winston is a Wild Card type player. He can have really good games but then the next week looks like he's never seen a football before. Way too inconsistent. The Saints just drafted a guy in round 2. I'm sure they hope he can start. The Steelers actually don't mind rolling with Mason Rudolph as he is well liked in the locker room, well respected by the coaching staff and did play some same good ball for them late in the year 2 seasons ago. -
No promises that Arch is even declaring for the draft next year. In the past, top prospects would come out early for the payday. Now with the NIL money a guy like Manning would likely make less coming out than if he comes out early. It will be a situation to watch for sure.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
BuffaloBillyG replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not to mention having to let people scoot past as they walk back and forth up and down the aisle to go on a run for more beer, snacks or bathroom. I swear some people spend 80% of the game either in or heading back and forth to/from the concourse. Just sit down and watch the game. Then you got traffic after the game and drunken idiots all around. I'm happier at home relaxing. -

I'd say he has about the same odds to make the team as Mr. Rogers.

I got a really good feeling about this kid. I don't think it's too long until he's the CB1 and Benford is back at CB2.

Malaki Starks wants to pick off Josh Allen most
BuffaloBillyG replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't even have to go that far back. Just a couple seasons ago when we were set to host KC in the playoffs Dawkins made some statements about the Chiefs never having to have to win on the road in the playoffs let alone in the BILLS HOUSE. Immediately after the game sever of the Chiefs quoted those statements in the post game interviews and locker speeches. They took it personally. They used it as motivation. -
I didn't before but your words have convinced me .

Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)
BuffaloBillyG replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
Stats without context really fail to show the whole story. While Herbert did, in fact throw for more yards than Allen last year, (a whopping 139 more yards to be exact) let's not forget that Allen basically sat out the entire game the final week against New England, was taken out of several games early due to the score (about another full game give or take in total) and that the Chargers were often throwing later in games due to being behind. This also accounts for the Bills running for about 400 more yards as they were in game wind down mode later in games way more than LA. Not to mention Allen is far more mobile and a threat to run. That will almost always result in higher rushing totals for a team. -

Thought Exercise: Best Bills QB (99-2017) who'd be JA17 backup
BuffaloBillyG replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
Brian Brohm was never given a fair chance. That said, I may just go with Alex Van Pelt. Reason being, the back ups main job is to help the starter prepare. And Van Pelt, while never a good QB, has spent years in the NFL as a coach and multiple years as an OC. So if I'm choosing someone to be in the QB room with the current iron horse of NFL QBs I'd take the guy most qualified to help a QB game plan. Break down film. That sort of thing. -
Failed physical. Maybe some setbacks?

It is a good thing. Absolutely. But am I ready to pay him $15M a season for one year of that? No. Let's see if that was an exception or a baseline before shelling out top dollars is all I'm saying. Not discounting TDs at all. But how many of those were because Cook is elite and how many of those could have been punched in by Johnson/Davis and can be in the future at a much cheaper price is the question. I think having him prove it this season is the smart move. The absolute worst thing that Beane could do here is cave, pay him top end money and see his TDs sharply decline while his fumble and dropping passes problems come back up. Remember, it wasn't that long ago he was riding pine due to these issues. I'd like to think he turned the corner. If he shows it this year, cool. Pay the dude. He had an EXCEPTIONAL season last year. And if he put in the work and solved his past issues along with becoming a TD machine he will have another one this year. And he will get paid.
